I'm so happy to see this winery have such great reviews. I've been visiting this vintner for 10+ years and I look forward to it every time. We just love Mike, the wine, the scenery, and the kitty! Very unusual winery as Mike is one of the few vintners to be experimenting with grapes grown in West Washington and I have to say, we really enjoy them! Our last vintage of the rosé had a hint of cranberry! Chilled we enjoyed some during the summer and at Christmas! Mike is very community oriented and gives great reverence to the history of Bainbridge Island. When available, the raspberry wine is DIVINE. Amazing with chocolate or light deserts with cream. When COVID was on its way out and everything was reopening but we all still wanted to be on the safe side, Mike allowed us to have a 3 person family birthday picnic alone on his winery. We paid for some wine ahead of time and he left it on the picnic table for us and later came out and did a distanced wine talk. Absolutely charming. Not far from the ferry-don't skip this winery :) Can't wait for our next visit.

Mike was an excellent host! We made the walk from Eleven Winery. Up a winding gravel road, passing small vineyards along the way. We made our way to this quaint vintner to enjoy some wine. We were greeted by Mike, who is the sole proprietor. He found us a small table and served us the tasting. Before each pour, he took time to share interesting information about each wine with each set of customers. Mike educated us on wines in Washington and explained how many of his wines are quite unique in North America. We found ourselves trapped since there were no more Ubers driving, but fortunately a very nice couple was kind enough to give us a ride into town. We had a delightful experience at Perennial Vintners. We went to 3 wineries on this day and Perennial was by far our favorite. I would recommend it to anyone going to Bainbridge.

I have been in The Wine business in a real way - worked at wineries in Sonoma/Napa/Willamette Valley for over 30 years. Having worked at iconic wineries that started out cool and funky only to wind up glossy and mass manufactured, I miss the old days of the small winery with the enthusiastic owner. And I'm spoiled. I've been in a position to drink incredible wines. When I go to a Winery, I don't expect The Wine to be of the refinement of places that have been practicing it sometimes for centuries. I also don't expect the owner of any Winery anymore to be charming and authentic, interested in things beyond their selves, their winery, troubles, and their own wines. My husband and I visited perennial vineyards for the first time a couple of years ago and were beyond charmed by this fun and funky little Winery. We have dogs that we adore, and were very disappointed that they aren't allowed, almost to the point of being a little grouchy about it , but having owned our own businesses, we know that people have their own reasons for things and it's their business. Perennial vineyards far exceeded our expectations. A small, old-school, type of Winery. Very, very, very small production. Each wine handmade, fussed over, brought from ground to vine to glass with painstaking attention to detail. To visit this winery is to step in to the owners life, his passions, why he is making wine where he is making it and. He respects Bainbridge Island itself, those who lived there before all the things that have gone in to the history of the place, all of these things influence his wine making. We have been there more than once. Mike, the owner, always asks people if they want to listen to the story of the island, the internment of the Japanese, etc., and almost everyone says yes to this. Is this a little bit different than your average, disinterested tasting room employee telling you what to expect to taste when having a sip? to have an actual owner of a winery pouring you wine and sharing the story of why he is doing what he is doing where he is doing it is a big damn deal. Special, precious, and highly highly unusual. And the wine is great. Where on earth does this guy find the time? We highly recommend this winery if it is wine you are interested in and not just hanging out and enjoying some glasses on a beautiful day. You can do that at perennial, Mike will sell you a bottle of wine and you can hang out and drink it and enjoy yourself. great idea! But when visiting this winery for the first time, keep in mind that perennial vineyards is surrounded by wineries that will gladly give you little personal attention, where you will be hosted by lovely people who do not own the business, but enjoy the wine and enjoy being there. Go to those wineries too! Go to perennial vineyards when you want an awesome, old-school winery experience like the old country, or Napa way, way back in the day, and absolutely delicious carefully made wines. Take it from this wine veteran: things change fast, visit, perennial vineyards, while you can before someone comes along and buys it!

Such an incredibly down to earth and enriching wine tasting experience. Mike, the owner of the vineyard, shares not only the vintage of each grape at each pour but also tells the story of the vineyard, it's place in Bainbridge Island history, and is all in all such a friendly and welcoming person. Anyone who enjoys wine with an (optional) side of American history will absolutely love this experience. Highly recommend for any visitors of the island with a car :)

Glass is empty because it's so good!!

So fun! The owner gave us some fun history lessons of the region and the wine was great!!! The grapes are all local! It was a beautiful day to be out and having a glass of wine!

This was a lovely, forested spot with local grapes that produce small batch dry reds, whites and sparkling wines. The owner does it all here. He grows the grapes, pours the tasting, and is super knowledgeable. Highly recommended if you are looking for dry wine with some good stories.

My friends and I decided to go to Bainbridge Island for a day trip and decided to drive around and go to several wine-tasting in the area. However, by far the best wine tasting that we went to was here at Perennial Vintners. Mike is the sole operator and runs the whole operation. He makes everything himself and is very passionate and it shows during the wine tasting. I really enjoyed how personal and in-depth he was during the wine tasting and the wine has also delicious. The wine tasting was $15 and the bottles of wine we got were only $28. This is an amazing place and should definitely be on your must-do list!

Stumbled upon this on a Monday afternoon while visiting the island. The owner greeted us upon arrival and provided a friendly and knowledgeable wine tasting. Owner lives on the property and does everything himself. Enjoyed our wine and conversation. Cheers!

Bainbridge Vineyards popped up on Yelp and seemed to be one of the better wineries on the island. There was a little parking lot out front we were able to find parking at. When we left there seemed to be a lot of overflow parking along the gravel path. They had live music playing that late afternoon. We decided to do a wine flight tasting which was a lot of fun. There were seating options outside by the tasting room and music. We ended up sitting back in their more green space on some adirondack chairs. This place felt like it was for all ages. We saw everyone from babies to seniors. The space was such a vibe and it was a wonderful place to catch up on summer stories. We ordered our drinks up front and the woman who served us was kind. It was a seat yourself type of place and bus your own table. I loved how local it felt. I really liked the wines we tried on the flight too! I'd recommend this spot.

The issue was not that the winery had expectations for a large group. The issue was the complete lack of communication and the way those expectations were handled. When we arrived, no one informed us that there was a minimum spend requirement or that our group needed to order a certain amount immediately. Several people in our group had already started ordering, including a bottle of wine and a glass of wine, and we were still settling the kids, reviewing the food options, and deciding what else to order. Within just a few minutes of sitting down, staff began pressuring us to order food. Shortly after that, another staff member approached us and told us we needed to clean up after ourselves and meet a minimum spend of around $500. None of this had been clearly stated before we sat down, and we were given no reasonable time to get organized as a group. If a winery has a large-party policy, minimum spend, or specific expectations for families with children, that should be communicated upfront, clearly and respectfully, before guests are seated. Instead, the interaction felt rushed, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. We had every intention of ordering more wine and food, but the tone and handling of the situation made the experience feel transactional and unpleasant. Fletcher Bay may be a nice spot for smaller groups, but based on our experience, I would not recommend it for families or larger walk-in groups unless their policies are made much clearer and their hospitality improves.

Ambiance in here was quiet, dimmed lights, not too bright and very clean. Matt assisted me that day and was extremely informative overall. He is very patient and kept up with my conversation. You can tell Matt is passionate about the wines this place carries. He was very confident about each wine as he would introduce each pour (I did a wine tasting, including five different wines) I prefer red wine over white and usually more on the sweet side; to be exact- I do love Lambrusco wine. However, all the red wines that I tasted here were very delightful and worth it. Started off with a favorite "Sangiovese" from Walla Walla and Red Mountain 15% alcohol, smooth not too bitter for my likings and is one of the top choices. 5/5 Up next was "Redtail" A Right bank inspired blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Perfect for everyday sipping! Blend: 25% Merlot 61% Cabernet Sauvignon 14% Cabernet Franc) 15.3% alcohol This one would pair well with a nice steak to enjoy. 5/5 Continued with a glass pour of "Condor" Left Bank Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot Alcohol: 14.9% Another delicious red wine that pairs well with steak, grilled meat, BBQ due to the tannins in the red wine this tends to enhance the red meat well. 5/5 "Reserve Merlot" 100% Merlot 14.8% alcohol another delicious red wine pour. This wine is best enjoyed with pasta, seafood and poultry dishes. Very good and smooth as well. 5/5 "Petite Sirah" on the dry side, which Matt stated people aren't usually a fan of but for me, I am not a picky individual and I thought it was delightful for my likings. "Fruit from Kiona vineyard in red mountain" 100% Petite Sirah Thank you for the nice hospitality during my visit, it was worth it and for future reference, I will return here for my wine adventures next time.
