UPDATE:-March 2026 well, yesterday was D-Day and Marco and Gabriel arrived ahead of schedule, which was great as it allowed our project to be completed in the same day. We are went back together and looked at the area that was needing repair. I had the consultation and estimate made last December and since I've slept since then it was very helpful for them to review exactly what was going to happen. In fact it cleared up something that I had confused in my head. Once we discussed the project and I was clear on the steps they would take and the outcome expected they proceeded to start to work. I had some paperwork projects myself to complete so I was able to sit in my living area and observe them as they worked. I'll say one thing it doesn't look like a very easy job. In my limited capacity, they initiated the day by starting to drill holes in the cement about every 10 inches apart. This would allow for them to go under with some foam to lift the cement that was severely cracked and completely dangerous to any foot paths.-Which was the primary reason for spending the money to have this project done? It was definitely a trip/stumble hazard for my husband and I who are elderly along with anyone else who happened to be on the patio. This took some time and generated a lot of very loud noise, but it wasn't preventable. When it was complete, they began to lift the area with the foam and level out the surface. They literally laid down the ground to do this and used the level over and over to make sure things were proceeding as they should. Once that was done, they went over a couple of areas with something like a sander for cement to smooth them out there were only a couple small areas that didn't completely level up, but that sanding helped tremendously. After that, they again invited me to come out and take a look and brought out little samples of what the next step would be, which was to use a special expandable filler to protect the cement from having further water damage. There are several colors to choose from in one very readily matched with the rest of our patio and deck. They proceeded to install this- Then we reviewed the timeframe for drying to ensure the areas that they had filled were able to completely dry which is going to take 24 hours. Then comes the part. I didn't really understand it the beginning. I just don't think I grasped it when we had the assessment and estimate of cost. For some reason I had in my head that they were going to be applying a topcoat that actually was colored to make it look more aesthetically pleasing. That is not what I ordered. I did order a sealer which was going to be applied and would be somewhat dry in an hour or so. The biggest area of confusion for me is that I thought somehow that cracks were going to completely go away. I don't know how I got that in my head is unless she put some kind of overlay on top of the area repaired. I don't think you'd be able to do that bottom line is that when they left about six hours after they started, everything was level the large cracks in multiple areas were filled and the topcoat/sealant that was explained to me as similar to rain guard that you would put on the windows of your car so that the water just rolls off when it does rain. Marco kept me informed and invited me to come out and look multiple times during the project. My deposit was subtracted from the total cost And the balance was exactly what I expected from the estimate. My son and daughter-in-law came by that evening and were very happy with the outcome and even made some suggestions as to how to make it more aesthetically pleasing since I spend so much time there. The water lines are all new, and the gas lines are all new. Call your trusted plumber and pay him to perform a hydrostatic test before you sign anything. It does not take long, but If you do not have this done, and get a letter stating that everything is ok, they will "VOID THE LIFETIME WARRANTY." immediately when their plumber checks it "AFTER" the job is started. They do not tell you how important this test is to them at all up front. I had a leak in a vent pipe, "That is right a "vent" pipe (not the sewer line) which showed up after the job was started, and they voided my warranty. I will have to tear up a bathroom which was completely remodeled, but they did not care! They will still "VOID THE LIFETIME WARRANTY" and I spent $16,647.00 with them. From what I can see this is what the Federal Trade Commission and the State of Texas could consider this as a Deceptive Trade Practice. So, even though the people doing the job are great, courteous and are truthful at what they do, all the owner wants is your money. The owner has the contract written in such a way he can screw you out of it in any possible way. Read the fine print if you do not believe me. I did not even know what a hydrostatic test was. This leak will not occur unless a hydrostatic test is performed, or your plumbing stops up completely and pushes water up into the vent pipe, and it has a hole in the top of it to allow air into the system, otherwise it would not flush. I made one once because I was told I could not tip/help the guys who came to the house, but Baird would give them a pizza day if I left a positive review and said the name of the person doing the work. These reviews are paid. If I mention names in negative reviews, though, they get banned. Double standard for sure, but look to Baird's management for acountability.** This company did the ol' bait and switch and has left me in the lurch. I originally sought out Baird Foundation Repair because I learned my lesson using a handyman. My kitchen/bathroom/bedroom were sagging, and the handyman put a long beam underneath to prop it up. The weight of it all just pushed the beam back down into the ground and the sagging continued. I called Baird who said they would replace the joists. Without telling me, they replaced the joists with cut joists and placed the cut joists on top of and included the old beam. BAIRD INCLUDED THE EXACT BEAM INTO THEIR OWN WORK. I went with Baird because they had a warranty and were supposed to be the best in the biz. It wasn't a month, and the sagging came back. It wasn't until this point that I learned Baird had (1) cut the joists in half, and (2) built its work on top of and including the poor handyman work. I got exactly the work done that the salesman recommended. The one that came with a warranty. I asked to get the warranty work done so that it could be level, like I paid for. His boss said "We're not coming out there unless we get paid." It finally was escalated to Baird's CEO. She finally approved the joists be replaced THE WAY THEY WERE ORIGINALLY PAID FOR. However, this new work was done incorrectly and they blocked my crawl space (see included picture). Add on to that, the sag continued to come back. We were talking about another area of my house that Baird failed to correct when the CEO cheekily slid into the email that Baird recommends more work under my kitchen/bathroom/bedroom to protect it long-term. I reminded her the work already underneath my house was the work Baird recommended. I asked her to confirm that Baird stood by its work and its warranty. She pulled the rug out from underneath me and said (1) it does not come with a warranty, and (2) they recommend EVEN MORE WORK so they can put their own beam under the house. I had to pay more money for them to correct their work the first time. It's just a never ending process where they mess up, make you pay, then recommend different work. I called Baird to come and give me a second opinion on my foundation and the work I had performed. In addition, I asked for information on increasing the depth of my crawl space. They assigned it to Jacob Keaton, and he was awesome!. He contacted a week before the appointment to introduce himself and confirm the appointment. He confirmed again the day before, and showed up early (came to the door right on time) to the appointment. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and was easy to speak with about my home. He did the inspection required and gave me the results, and estimate that I wanted. He was able to answer all my questions thoroughly. It does not matter what the factors, vectors or loads are with your project they don't even have an engineer or consulting engineer available to consult of your project, only a salesman. They react like an educated analysis is a novel idea, even when they are talking 10's of Thousands of dollars. About five years ago we hired Baird to do foundation work. I gave them a five star review immediately afterwards on their website, because the initial work seemed to go smoothly, and the people who worked at our house seemed nice. This is an update. We chose them over other companies mainly due to their longevity in the area and their warranty. It was a huge mistake. About two years after the work was done the same area that had been sloping was very noticeably sloping again. I called and they sent a man out whose job apparently is to tell you (with a lot of smiles) that their work is not the problem. A couple of years later I called again, more distressed, and the same guy, Rusty, came out again giving an explanation for the slope that does not involve them not hitting bedrock the first time or the piers failing or anything else in their control. I knew what he was saying re: cause of slope didn't make sense from a physics standpoint, but what is our recourse? A warranty is only good if the company acknowledges the situation. We then hired a structural engineer who did, indeed, say Baird's explanation for the slope was not consistent with the facts. I also found out that Baird never filed one of the permits they were supposed to file at the time of our work. Thirdly, my husband asked for a copy of the engineer's report which they still have not sent in over three months. So, I completely regret hiring them for such a big investment and am writing this to hopefully give others another person's experience when making such a costly decision. Another thing to realize-when their work fails and you have to get more work done, the new company will have to go in and put piers right by the ones Baird did, so you'll have to pay to have it redone. read more

In early August, 2023 I was going to have a french drain done, or a trench, to redirect the water flow around my driveway when it rains. A neighbor of mine had heard about Baird Foundation and recommended I give them a call. I called Baird about fixing my driveway which had tilted slightly from side to side over the years, the walkway to the front door, and also seven slabs around my pool that had moved. Upon the initial inspection on August 18, I told the Baird representative that I was thinking of having a french drain put in but the Baird representative was confident that Baird Foundation could fix the issues and gave me an estimate. I called him back a couple of days later and signed on. A couple of weeks later, as the crew was setting up to start, the lead technician said he "could lift the slab up, but could not push it down" (referring to the corner of the drive that had tilted up slightly. I told him if they can fix the problem with the drive that I was okay with that corner raised a bit and they started to work. When I returned from work that day, they were trying to jack up the corner of my garage and a third technician arrived and told them to stop. The driveway is not attached to the garage and I did not authorize Baird to do any work on the garage foundation. They finished later that afternoon and returned the next day to finish their work. When they finished, the lead technician told me he "could not fix the driveway". If the technician had said they could not fix the drive, I would have told him to leave it, and just do the other areas of the job. It was later twice implied by the General Manager that I was lying about this. That was quite offensive. I inspected the other work they did and found that the slabs around the pool, and the walkway out front, were not adjusted properly. I told him I could not sign off on it until the work was done correctly. I later spoke with the Baird General Manager and sent her pictures of the errors in their work. Weeks later in mid-October, another one of their crews, including their field supervisor, came back and corrected the slab work around the pool and the walkway leading to the front door. On October 26th, the last day that their field supervisor was there, I asked him "if you knew you couldn't fix the driveway, why did you work on it in the first place?" He said "to stabilize it, to fill in any pockets or crevices." He also said maybe I should try the french drain that I spoke about. In a phone call trying to come up with a resolution, Baird's General Manager, asked me what I thought they should do. I told her that "Baird should remove the driveway portion from the bill." Two of their employees have already said "they knew they couldn't fix it." She then said that I was trying to cheat Baird out of money when in fact, that is what this company has done to me. While most of the employees were very polite and friendly, this management was highly unprofessional. The attached photos of my driveway (shot the last day the supervisor was at my house) are what they left me with. The only issue that I had with Baird was that it took a few months to actually get the work scheduled. We live about 60 miles from San Antonio so that is probably more difficult for them to work into their schedule All of the workers were very informative and easy to deal with. Jeb got our job started and Arthur finished it up as a new work supervisor. They were both very easy to work with as were the other crew members. Our job was installing piers to close a gap which developed between our patio/deck and the concrete steps leading down to ground level. They encountered a large amount of rock which required a lot of hard work to install the piers. I think this installation will solve our problem and definitely makes us feel better. They did an amazing job on my pool deck and patio. They leveled it and blended it together even though it had major cracks and complete separation. Expected them to leave a 1 foot section off the large patio corner but took it on and made it look amazing. Can't say enough about the team that did the work especially Jaklyn, Andrea, Alisa, Justin, and Kelby. They did such an amazing job that I also made an appointment to have foundation inspected. The crew was polite and courteous. Their cleanup was sub par. They left marks on my columns in the back. The product, Nexus Pro, should be covered after application until completely cured, because foot traffic and any small disturbance will leave its mark. The product is very expensive, and to me, not worth the cost. My driveway started sinking again after a week. I was harassed after a few days to give them a good rating, I finally told them to quit sending me text messages because I was not happy with their work and I would get back with them. Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend this company. Their product is inferior and doesn't work as advertised. They harass you to get good reviews and are highly overpriced. read more

Everything from scheduling a free inspection, the after inspection report findings, the multiple options to choose how to address my issues and not just showing me a price to fix them, the availability to start working right away to paying my invoice. Was the most smooth process I've dealt with when it comes to home repairs or construction. Honestly was nervous for no reason because they've been in business for as long as they have for a reason and not just some guys with a truck that slapped a magnet on the sides saying contractor on it lurking around looking for its next victim! All the employees were very curious and didn't leave a mess for me to clean up after. I plan to have them pop by every few years and see how everything is going so I can catch an issue as soon as I can again instead of putting it off thinking I can't afford it now.
