UPDATE:-March 2026 well, yesterday was D-Day and Marco and Gabriel arrived ahead of schedule, which was great as it allowed our project to be completed in the same day. We are went back together and looked at the area that was needing repair. I had the consultation and estimate made last December and since I've slept since then it was very helpful for them to review exactly what was going to happen. In fact it cleared up something that I had confused in my head. Once we discussed the project and I was clear on the steps they would take and the outcome expected they proceeded to start to work. I had some paperwork projects myself to complete so I was able to sit in my living area and observe them as they worked. I'll say one thing it doesn't look like a very easy job. In my limited capacity, they initiated the day by starting to drill holes in the cement about every 10 inches apart. This would allow for them to go under with some foam to lift the cement that was severely cracked and completely dangerous to any foot paths.-Which was the primary reason for spending the money to have this project done? It was definitely a trip/stumble hazard for my husband and I who are elderly along with anyone else who happened to be on the patio. This took some time and generated a lot of very loud noise, but it wasn't preventable. When it was complete, they began to lift the area with the foam and level out the surface. They literally laid down the ground to do this and used the level over and over to make sure things were proceeding as they should. Once that was done, they went over a couple of areas with something like a sander for cement to smooth them out there were only a couple small areas that didn't completely level up, but that sanding helped tremendously. After that, they again invited me to come out and take a look and brought out little samples of what the next step would be, which was to use a special expandable filler to protect the cement from having further water damage. There are several colors to choose from in one very readily matched with the rest of our patio and deck. They proceeded to install this- Then we reviewed the timeframe for drying to ensure the areas that they had filled were able to completely dry which is going to take 24 hours. Then comes the part. I didn't really understand it the beginning. I just don't think I grasped it when we had the assessment and estimate of cost. For some reason I had in my head that they were going to be applying a topcoat that actually was colored to make it look more aesthetically pleasing. That is not what I ordered. I did order a sealer which was going to be applied and would be somewhat dry in an hour or so. The biggest area of confusion for me is that I thought somehow that cracks were going to completely go away. I don't know how I got that in my head is unless she put some kind of overlay on top of the area repaired. I don't think you'd be able to do that bottom line is that when they left about six hours after they started, everything was level the large cracks in multiple areas were filled and the topcoat/sealant that was explained to me as similar to rain guard that you would put on the windows of your car so that the water just rolls off when it does rain. Marco kept me informed and invited me to come out and look multiple times during the project. My deposit was subtracted from the total cost And the balance was exactly what I expected from the estimate. My son and daughter-in-law came by that evening and were very happy with the outcome and even made some suggestions as to how to make it more aesthetically pleasing since I spend so much time there. We would definitely recommend Baird Foundation to anyone needing foundation repairs and or repairs and upgrades of any cement surrounding your home. read more

I called Baird to come and give me a second opinion on my foundation and the work I had performed. In addition, I asked for information on increasing the depth of my crawl space. They assigned it to Jacob Keaton, and he was awesome!. He contacted a week before the appointment to introduce himself and confirm the appointment. He confirmed again the day before, and showed up early (came to the door right on time) to the appointment. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and was easy to speak with about my home. He did the inspection required and gave me the results, and estimate that I wanted. He was able to answer all my questions thoroughly. In my case, he reported that the work I had done was excellent and in good condition. Baird thinks they know what they are doing but do so without any engineering background. It does not matter what the factors, vectors or loads are with your project they don't even have an engineer or consulting engineer available to consult of your project, only a salesman. They react like an educated analysis is a novel idea, even when they are talking 10's of Thousands of dollars. About five years ago we hired Baird to do foundation work. I gave them a five star review immediately afterwards on their website, because the initial work seemed to go smoothly, and the people who worked at our house seemed nice. This is an update. We chose them over other companies mainly due to their longevity in the area and their warranty. It was a huge mistake. About two years after the work was done the same area that had been sloping was very noticeably sloping again. I called and they sent a man out whose job apparently is to tell you (with a lot of smiles) that their work is not the problem. A couple of years later I called again, more distressed, and the same guy, Rusty, came out again giving an explanation for the slope that does not involve them not hitting bedrock the first time or the piers failing or anything else in their control. I knew what he was saying re: cause of slope didn't make sense from a physics standpoint, but what is our recourse? A warranty is only good if the company acknowledges the situation. We then hired a structural engineer who did, indeed, say Baird's explanation for the slope was not consistent with the facts. I also found out that Baird never filed one of the permits they were supposed to file at the time of our work. Thirdly, my husband asked for a copy of the engineer's report which they still have not sent in over three months. So, I completely regret hiring them for such a big investment and am writing this to hopefully give others another person's experience when making such a costly decision. Another thing to realize-when their work fails and you have to get more work done, the new company will have to go in and put piers right by the ones Baird did, so you'll have to pay to have it redone. read more

In early August, 2023 I was going to have a french drain done, or a trench, to redirect the water flow around my driveway when it rains. A neighbor of mine had heard about Baird Foundation and recommended I give them a call. I called Baird about fixing my driveway which had tilted slightly from side to side over the years, the walkway to the front door, and also seven slabs around my pool that had moved. Upon the initial inspection on August 18, I told the Baird representative that I was thinking of having a french drain put in but the Baird representative was confident that Baird Foundation could fix the issues and gave me an estimate. I called him back a couple of days later and signed on. A couple of weeks later, as the crew was setting up to start, the lead technician said he "could lift the slab up, but could not push it down" (referring to the corner of the drive that had tilted up slightly. I told him if they can fix the problem with the drive that I was okay with that corner raised a bit and they started to work. When I returned from work that day, they were trying to jack up the corner of my garage and a third technician arrived and told them to stop. The driveway is not attached to the garage and I did not authorize Baird to do any work on the garage foundation. They finished later that afternoon and returned the next day to finish their work. When they finished, the lead technician told me he "could not fix the driveway". If the technician had said they could not fix the drive, I would have told him to leave it, and just do the other areas of the job. It was later twice implied by the General Manager that I was lying about this. That was quite offensive. I inspected the other work they did and found that the slabs around the pool, and the walkway out front, were not adjusted properly. I told him I could not sign off on it until the work was done correctly. I later spoke with the Baird General Manager and sent her pictures of the errors in their work. Weeks later in mid-October, another one of their crews, including their field supervisor, came back and corrected the slab work around the pool and the walkway leading to the front door. On October 26th, the last day that their field supervisor was there, I asked him "if you knew you couldn't fix the driveway, why did you work on it in the first place?" He said "to stabilize it, to fill in any pockets or crevices." He also said maybe I should try the french drain that I spoke about. In a phone call trying to come up with a resolution, Baird's General Manager, asked me what I thought they should do. I told her that "Baird should remove the driveway portion from the bill." Two of their employees have already said "they knew they couldn't fix it." She then said that I was trying to cheat Baird out of money when in fact, that is what this company has done to me. While most of the employees were very polite and friendly, this management was highly unprofessional. The attached photos of my driveway (shot the last day the supervisor was at my house) are what they left me with. The only issue that I had with Baird was that it took a few months to actually get the work scheduled. We live about 60 miles from San Antonio so that is probably more difficult for them to work into their schedule All of the workers were very informative and easy to deal with. Jeb got our job started and Arthur finished it up as a new work supervisor. They were both very easy to work with as were the other crew members. Our job was installing piers to close a gap which developed between our patio/deck and the concrete steps leading down to ground level. They encountered a large amount of rock which required a lot of hard work to install the piers. I think this installation will solve our problem and definitely makes us feel better. The crew was polite and courteous. Their cleanup was sub par. They left marks on my columns in the back. The product, Nexus Pro, should be covered after application until completely cured, because foot traffic and any small disturbance will leave its mark. The product is very expensive, and to me, not worth the cost. My driveway started sinking again after a week. I was harassed after a few days to give them a good rating, I finally told them to quit sending me text messages because I was not happy with their work and I would get back with them. As with other reviews the problem starts with sales person and estimate. They do not give you the full picture of what all your house may truly need. Only simple basics. They offer a discount for same day sign up which keeps you from finding out the truth basically. Don't do it get several quotes!! Once they start the work, then a diff guy tells us well I have to be honest we can't do this and you won't get such and such result. If you did more under middle and then around back it might prevent the buckling that could accur if we tried to completely level house. None of these suggestions or possible scenerios werw mentioned at consult. Had they been I would have gotten other opinions due to the complexity and to be sure i understood as well as Baird is very pricey due to very good product and if I needed so more done to get the best result I would have checked around before deciding! I feel he knew that and wanted the sale. Felt I was not treated fairly. They felt offing a discount of $250.00 on a $20,000 dollar job was "faIr". You decide .PS There was also miscommunication about the plumbing and I was not told by either company it to be done after. I did my homework before hiring Baird to do some foundation repair. I had two other companies give me estimates and. although not the cheapest, I hired Baird because of reviews and I felt their analysis was very thorough. I have been disappointed at every turn and am going to have to hire a structural engineer to be sure that the work was done correctly. They never let me know when they were going to show up. They left a large pile of dirt (from digging under the pier and beam house) on my front lawn for days in spite of multiple phone calls and texts with Josh and the office staff. A week after the work was completed, I noticed some substantial new cracks in walls and none of the doors on one side of the house will close. I was told that Josh would come to review. I was told that Diego would come to review. They did not. The office responds to my calls and emails with apologies but no action. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed and would NOT recommend using a company with such poor customer servce. read more

The quote they gave us was largely incorrect. The sales person did a check on our house and estimated what will be needed, but he was WAY OFF! Once they broke ground the supervisor kept telling us such things as " we must go deeper" "you need more piers" "if you do not add a pier here it will void the warranty" "if we don't fix this first then the cement will crumble later on and the warranty will be voided". We were way over our heads and couldn't say no because they already had holes all around the house, the work had to be completed. We ended up paying $5000 more than the original quote.
