I did not like the tacos at all here. The steak taco was gamey and the dry. The pork was dry and there was really no flavor at all. I used to like Baja Fresh in the Arcadia location but now I don't think I'll return as there are better taco places around. I also didn't even know my food was ready. I didn't hear anyone calling my number either. The tables was dirty. Parking is plentiful. read more

clean, fresh and relatively healthy mexican food, it's more than Del Taco/Taco Bell, but well worth it. On on occasion, one of the male staff could barely speak English which was annoying, but I got through our order after repeating myself a few times. Worst Baja spot by far, especially when it is busy, staff can't handle it. If you can't handle online orders and in-person business at the same, then hire more people. Also, unless the burrito is order without any changes, it comes out terrible. Baja always gives me heartburn, but this one, I don't know what they do, but I feel like I could spit fire after eating from here, and I eat hot, spicy foods all the time. If it was just based on service, 0 stars, but because the food is subpar when compared to other Baja Fresh places (which are disappearing more), -1 stars. Our family discovered Baja Fresh about 5 years ago. We used to go to Chevy's Mexican Restaurant and Rubio's to get our fill of fresh-Mex food. We typically order the same thing every time we go to Baja Fresh: Bare burittos with shrimp + veggies + sour cream and chicken taquitos. I'm really, really, really like the pico de gallo salsa with the freshly made tortilla chicken with just a sprinkle of salt. They have a variety of salsas that are served "salad bar style". They's also added black tea (sweetened and unsweetened), green tea and regular tea to their beverage line up. Baja Fresh is the healthier alternative to places El Torito Grill and hole in the wall restaurants. Don't get me wrong I do like hole in the wall eateries - for instance, the mexican restaurant on Villa and Allen Avenue. Our meals at Baja Fresh are very filling, tasty and we usually end up with some leftovers that I think taste even better the next day, expecially the grilled shrimp. For Cinco de Mayo, I experimented and ordered the Nacho Burrito. It comes with chicken (I substituted shrimp) Jack & Cheddar cheese, black or pinto beans, rice, Smokey Queso Fundido, jalapenos, and Salsa Crema and asked for it to be prepared bare burrito style. I don't like jalapenos, so I forgot to ask them not to add them. They presented my "bare" buritto is a tortilla. So they "fixed it" by dumping the contents from the tortilla into a bowl and adding a squire of sour cream. The concoction that they served in the bowl was DRY. I've never had a dry bare burrito before and was a unhappy camper. My girls didn't have any complaints about their meals. I'll still continue to eat at Baja Fresh because it's good stuff. I also like that you can phone ahead to place your order. read more

By far one of the better Baja Freshs in California. I've had my fair share of this franchise: Cupertino, Davis, Arcadia, etc. I usually order the Chicken Quesedilla and Diablo shrimp burrito. It's hot in here! The floors, tables are dirty. The bathrooms are a mess. They are out of iced tea, and half of the drink dispensers are either out of order or empty. Seems understaffed. And, the salsas are lacking flavor- the quality has here has really dropped. Maybe this location is shutting down? When I find a place I like, it's disappointing when so many things are wrong in one visit. I don't expect perfection- that's not realistic. Keeping the place clean is important to me. read more

Ate at this location this afternoon. The male cashier who took the order was very rude and made us pay extra for our salad dressing stating it has always been his policy. Have been visiting this location for years and never before have we been forced to pay for dressing on salads. He was very hateful and most definitely is a racist against whites. It's been about a year I haven't been to a Baja fresh. I asked for a burrito that had chicken, guacamole, cheese, beans and rice ( none they have on the menu ) I made it my way which was great! Only down thing was that they didn't put rice in my burrito . The molcajete sauce was heaven !!! I'd decently go back know for that burrito but I'll ask them to cut down on the beans and make sure they put rice this time. Overall when we arrived it was slow as we left it got super busy in there glad we got there earlier. read more

Great if you are running around in between errands and you want some veggie food in a pinch. Get the Tostada salad, no cheese or sour cream. You get a crispy shell, beans, rice, tomatoes, romaine lettuce (not iceberg) and bit of guacamole. While you wait you get some corn chips you can munch on with serve it yourself salsa fresca and hot peppers. I like Mexican, but a lot of places use lard in the beans, vegan or not, what's up with lard...common...lard. This joint doesn't. Last time I went they put cheese on it by accident, they made a new one in 2 minutes. :T) read more

I like that Baja Fresh is clean, healthy and well-maintained, but overall the food is fairly average, with some notable exceptions. when I want to be healthy this plce is a great option since the salads are decent. However, the carnegie asada that they put on there isn't flavored very well n my opinion. Pretty bland and dry. For me, carne asada is the acid test for Mexican restaurants-if they can't get that right, the prospects for the rest of the menu are dim. Their fish tacos, on the other hand, are pretty darn good. I wasnt expecting that. While not quite up to Señor Fish standards, they're better than Rubios and other "fresh" Mexican-type places. read more

We decided to give this Baja Fresh location another try. It had been about 2 years since our last visit. Things have greatly improved ! The food was good and the quality was there. I love Baja Fresh. For this visit, I ordered the Baja Steak Burrito. While delicious, the burrito did seem a little bit smaller (or maybe it's normal - I haven't had a burrito in awhile). Also, the meat wasn't hot. Maybe it was cooled down by the avocado. I like to give Baja Fresh the benefit of the doubt. However, I was quite pleased that the burrito did not come out all drippy. This Baja is by far one of the worst I have ever dined. The attitude of the Hispanic old man on the register is horrible. The chicken was cold the guac. Order was filled half way! The salad didn't come with dressing. When I asked for the dressing he was rude once again and sarcastic and said well you should've told me you wanted dressing. As to guac he claimed that's how they always serve it. I have bought this order in multiple locations and never have they only filled it half way. I asked for his manager name and he refused to provide it. The tables were dirty as well. Oh! When I was placing my order he sticks his finger out saying to wait to walks away to answer a personal call! He then came back after he was done on his personal call to give me my total when I wasn't even done ordering! It was for two and he had only ordered the salad! So rude! So dirty! read more

I love eating the baja chicken burrito. Carnitas are very tasty but so much more calories. Not saying the baja chicken burrito is low on the calorie scale, but I don't wish to over do it. Only so many calories I can burn off during the day. Anyways I like the location and having an entrance in the front and back with plenty of parking makes it convenient. A good way to avoid the long lines during the rush hours is to call your order ahead as your are driving there. Beats having to wait in line. read more

Nothing was fresh today. I arrived around 4:45 pm just ahead of the dinner rush. The salsa station was dirty, the salsas were runny and watery, the lime wedges that were out had dried up and left quite a bit of juice at the bottom of their container. I ordered the grilled fish taco combo plates with black beans. I was taking this food home so I did not get a good look until my wife and I opened the container. The beans were old and had an odor to them that was not fresh. She decided to take the food back and get our money back. I hope the franchise owner reads this review and addresses the lack of fresh food at their store. This used to be a great location and I do not have an issue with the chain and will continue to dine at other locations. This one is off my list. read more

I came to baja fresh today. I felt like a shrimp burrito so I asked the guy he said get the Diablo burrito it's not on the menu, I said okay no problem I asked how many shrimp come in the burrito he said about 12 shrimp, I said so I don't need extra right, he said no so I went on and got it. 10 minutes later I get my burrito I cut it in half take a picture I posted on Facebook then I eat it the second half I put my Fork into it and just pull out three shrimps and the other one had about three and a half so I got total of six and a half shrimp and a whole burrito was filled with rice and beans. I usually don't make complaints on Yelp but this wasn't right. I told the guy he just looked at me and grinned. Hopefully nobody has this experience like I did. read more

I was waiting for my Mexican friend for about 15 minutes, the store manager ( in red) and the other guy who bleached the top of his hair in dirty blond, was VERY VERY RUDE asked me " are you going to order or not"! I told them I was waiting for a friend of mine, they gave me a dirty look from the side way. Their attitude changed after they saw my Mexican friend. I told them, see? You did not have to be rude towards your customers. What a negative attitude! I think the company should fire this two employees, their attitude will make the store lose the customer. read more

I've been coming to this particular location for a couple of years now... They are always very nice and pleasant. Food is always good, but I've noticed that the burritos are getting smaller! We ordered some Baja Burritos with Steak and also a bean and cheese burrito... when the food came out, the bean and cheese was significantly larger than the baja.. my suggestion is this, the burritos should be the same size all the way around, especially if we're paying more for it. Baja Fresh definitely trumps Rubio's in terms of Mexican fast food, in my book. Baja Fresh has a better salsa bar that includes all the pico de gallo you want, while Rubio's does not. I also like Baja Fresh's chips better than Rubio's. I think they changed their carnitas though. I remember loving it the first time I got it. It was so succulent, juicy, and flavorful. Then, I tried it again and it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it. We used to have a Baja Fresh near work, and I loved going there for lunch. Sadly, it closed, so this is the next closest location. I like supporting Baja Fresh after seeing their CEO, David Kim, featured on an episode of Undercover Boss. He seems like a really nice, down-to-earth guy. He is a Christian and it was pretty cool to see him live out his faith. read more
