I had this place in my bookmarks for so long (literally months). I finally decided to go try it on a weekday and although I absolutely loved the friendly, fast and courteous service, and think the ambiance was ok, the food itself was not something stellar. I got the XXL Fatbuger (a whole pound of goodness) and regular Fat Fries and although I do appreciate the massive portions, I don't think the flavor itself was extraordinary. The fries needed a bit of extra salt and the burger was good but did not have that much seasoning either (or maybe I'm just used to saltier burgers, like the ones from McDonald's). This place is right across from Pasadena City College, so definitely a convenient place for College students to grab a quick bite, or for workers in the area to go grab lunch, but not a place that I would choose to go out of my way for ever again.

been ages since I had. meal at Fatburger... glad I came here instead of InNOut. Price point is bit higher than others, but not too bad given the quality and size of the meat on the burger. Love how they cook to order and the meat is fried up the way I like it, with a crust. The strawberry milkshake made with real ice cream containing real strawberry... a real treat. Customer service is also friendly and efficient.

Well, everything I touched was sticky from the salt and pepper shakers to my tray that my food was on, to my table and to my chair. As I well as one of the workers proceeded to cut her finger nails with a nail clipper at the counter, which I could see and hear. The burger & fries were ok. This will be the last time I go here.

I'm not a burger girl but I do like a Fatburger. I ordered over the phone to go. My order was ready upon my arrival within 10 minutes and fresh. Resturant dining area and bathroom were clean. If you have a rewards punch card from a different location they will not honor card. Medium fat cheeseburger 10/10 Fat fries with a side of seasoning salt 10/10 Lemonade 10/10

Been 2 years but I'm back. 2 Originals. Fat fries and 2 milkshakes. Quick service. Nice young lady. Clean cause it looks like we caught them at shift change. Same nice girl just got done mopping. Burgers yummy. Yup fat fries is the one. Shakes nice and thick. They need fatter straws. You need to let it sit and think of it as dessert. I'll be back.

This was my first time ever having Fatburger and it was satisfying! I got the skinnyburger which is basically two patties that sandwich the fixings together. I thought this was delicious and flavorful. My bro got the XXXL which was insanely big and he loved every bite of it. Let's just say he barely ate anything the entire day so it was called for lol. We shared the onion rings which I thought were below average, and the skinny fries were average. For a treat I got the Craig's Vegan Strawberry Shake which was pretty tasty for it being vegan. In sum, I would come back for a large burger.

Tonight we decided to switch things up a little, and hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Normally we prefer the quarter-pound patty, but this one was slightly thicker, which definitely made us feel full a lot quicker. That said, the burger was still super juicy, had the right filling-to-meat ratio, and came on that perfectly soft bun that holds everything together without falling apart. Solid choice. I stuck with my usual chicken breast salad, and it was delicious as always. Fresh, satisfying, and dependable -- although I'll admit I'm still not a fan of bell peppers, so those got politely pushed to the side. One thing I have noticed over time is that the fries seem to be getting a little smaller in portion each visit. I also miss the thicker-cut fries from about six months ago -- those were my favorite. The current ones still do the job, but the old style definitely had my heart. Overall, this is still a definite must-try spot if you're craving a good burger. Consistent, satisfying, and always hits the spot. Happy eats!

Oof so much to say about the Pastrami breakfast burrito here…read more I stooped by Sunday morning to a decent breakfast crowd but my order was taken within 3 minutes of walking in. The cashier was nice but maybe she's new because she couldn't believe I wanted tater tots in my breakfast burrito instead of the homestyle potatoes. She asked me 4 times if that's what I wanted and then called a manager over to ask her too. It was just a super odd moment. The pastrami breakfast burrito is about $15 and it's a great size. Once I started digging in I immediately noticed issues. The pastrami was tough, fatty, stringy, and so overly salty. The tots were crispy but the first half of the burrito was just that - pastrami and tots. I actually got worried thinking they forgot the egg and cheese until I cut half way and realized all the egg and cheese was piled onto one end of the burrito. Why? How? Who taught these guys how to build a burrito? By then I had lost my appetite due to the pastrami but even so, there was hardly any egg and cheese compared to the pastrami. The green salsa too was bad. No flavor whatsoever all you get is the burning sensation from the peppers. I really think they just blended peppers and called it a salsa

This is a burger joint with a diverse menu, including one of the biggest breakfast burritos in town. I got my burrito with bacon. The burrito comes with hashbrown style potatoes, eggs and cheese - you get a choice of ham, bacon or sausage for your meat (or have it without meat). The bacon was crispy and remained crispy when I reheated my other half. Not only is the bacon crispy, the burrito has a generous amount of it! Oh and the other plus - the tortilla does not come wet and soggy and remains in perfect condition if you have leftovers. The burrito comes with only one salsa and to be honest, you really do need two for such a big burrito. I'm a green salsa girl but I asked what I should go with and I was recommended the red one (the green one is supposedly spicier). The red salsa did not disappoint other than I needed one more for my whole burrito (there's no kick to this salsa but it's tasty). The burrito itself isn't bursting with flavor on its own and it requires the salsa to compliment the other ingredients. But, who eats a breakfast burrito without salsa? There is ample parking in their parking lot and there's seating both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to satisfy my breakfast burrito craving very soon and if this is what you're looking for - stop reading reviews and go get you one at Lucky Boy (it's served all day).

I always start off my ratings with cleanliness. I worked in a high volume restaurant back in the 70's. If you weren't doing something you were cleaning. Ordered the classic burger, fries and coke. Picked up my order after a short wait. Cleaned off my own table and sat down. Burger looked decent, fries looked amazing and can never say anything bad about a classic coke. First bite of the burger was a little disappointing. Burger was thin and seemed overcooked to me. I thought it was dry. Roll, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo were ok. Not bad overall but for some reason I expected a better burger experience. Let's talk about the fries. Truly classic French fried potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Light golden color. Nice texture and flavor. What every French fry should look and taste like. Coke was great. Sorry to say I was not impressed by the burger. This was my experience on 05/09/2026. Could have been cleaner and maybe the burger not overcooked. Your experience may be totally different.

The burger was genuinely very good--not life-changing gourmet food, but exactly what a classic American burger should taste like. The best way I can describe it is like an elevated old-school burger. Similar spirit to In-N-Out in its simplicity, but juicer like if burlesque was a burger. You're going for the atmosphere, the history, and the feeling of stepping into a different era of California. It was always a real treat. As a teenager I dated a couple of the girls that worked there so I was there on the regular in those days. In my 20's I lived right up the street and hit them up quite often. I don't get there as much as I'd like nowadays but when I do, it is always consistently great. Times have definitely changed but Connal's quality food and super customer service has not! I am a huge Combination Grinder fan and have not ordered anything different for well over 30 years. They are always stacked with lots of high quality cold cuts and delicious Provolone, crisp shredded Lettuce, thin sliced Onions and Vinegar and Oil on a delicious French Roll. In my teens and 20's I did try many samplings on their vast menu and as memory serves, everything was always delicious. Today's Grinder absolutely hit the spot! It had been a while since I last tasted one but the Combo Grinder most definitely never disappoints. I went for it, and got Zings (Zucchini Sticks and Onion Rings). Once upon a time, we lived dangerously close to this establishment, and I've honestly thought about it more often than I'd like to admit ever since. But the crown jewel of the meal, as it has always been, is the fried zucchini. I have never found better fried zucchini, and trust me, I've been trying for years. Service at the window was just as friendly as I remembered, and we grabbed a spot tucked under the patio instead of staying inside--perfect for people-watching as folks came and went. There's something really special about being welcomed back by a place that tastes exactly like you remember. Connal's still delivers.
