Service is a little different for a small town cafe, you order at the counter, pay and then take a seat. Staff is friendly. Food was good. Blueberry Pancakes were delicious, but flat. They probably over-mixed the batter. Homemade pies looked good! read more

We happened upon Bake My Day Cafe by accident. It was cold, rainy, and foggy, and we were staying in the Dalles for a long weekend. We went to Horsethief Lake on the Washington side. We discovered it is closed in winter. I had seen there was an excellent Italian restaurant in Goldendale and decided to go check it out for lunch. On our way there I learned it was closed, and then I noticed the Bake My Day Cafe, also In Goldendale, was open. Oh yes, we were going there! I love puns and I love bakeries. A slam dunk. We got there, went in, and were welcomed immediately. The menu was written on a large board and included a sandwich called the Dirty Harry! Hilarious! I had the seasonal pancakes - pumpkin - which were tasty and came with eggs and bacon. I asked for the bacon to be crispy, and they nailed it!!! Yum! My sweetie got a breakfast sandwich that was meh. I've told many people about this place, as it has an interesting origin story. Fun décor, a feeling of down home hospitality. A fine place to visit. read more

We travelled to Goldendale from Parkdale for an appointment at Mid Columbia Veterinarian ( who are amazing). While there we decided to have breakfast and Yelp recommended Bake My Day Cafe. We were traveling so I looked for highly rated restaurants for lunch in the area. If we're through there again, ( possibly next year) we'll go there again! Friendly, great menu and prices. Clearly a favorite with locals. As we were leaving a line for lunch was forming. Order st the counter and a server brings your meal. I LOVE a good Reuben and it was fantastic! I got my wedding cake here. It was terrible. The service was great, the place was clean, the staff was friendly. The cake they made was beautiful, as well. But the flavor was disgusting. It was supposed to be a lemon cake, but was just and overly sweet mess of bland and flavorless cake. There other food is pretty good, but they can't do cakes. read more

The only place in town offering vegetarian AND vegan options! I had an almond milk latte and a blueberry donut. Both were fantastic. They also took care to ask about sweetness level of my latte, thank you! Excited to come back to get food. Masks are required to enter and they will run food out to your car. read more

I have left reviews for this place before, and yes, they are always good. BUT, I just had a sandwich I hadn't seen on their menu board before and I think I just died! It is their Turkey Melt. I am not normally a hot sandwich person and I love all the veggies put on my sandwich. You know. . .lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, etc. I took one bite into this sandwich and knew I had found MY NEW FAVORITE!! This sandwich is made with turkey, provolone, pesto, and marinated artichoke hearts. It is put on a crusty roll.Sooooo gooooood. Of course, it comes with the customary dill pickle spear and a side. Today I chose the broccoli soup. Oh and of course, I followed lunch with one of their fruit pastries (wish they were healthier because I could make a meal with just those.) We were on a motorcyle ride and stopped for a late breakfast. This is a Super Cute little cafe in the old part of town. The menu is great and was well prepared. We got omelets and loved them. In addition they were very willing to substitute out the potatoes offered for other menu items. Staff was Super helpful and willing to please. This is a definitely a repeat for me when in the area again. read more

We just moved to this area so we are trying out local places and this is the first place we have been to. The service was good and friendly, and the clientele seemed pretty regular, which to me is a point in its favor. I had the House Wrap (turkey, cranberry cream cheese, lettuce, tomato on a spinach tortilla) and it very good. The cranberry cream cheese was more cranberry than cream cheese so the sandwich felt very light. The tomato had a fresh, sweet tomato flavor and the tortilla was soft. I would get this sandwich again. Erik had the Clint Eastwood (roast beef, ham, fried egg, lettuce, red onion, and cheese) and asked for the rye bread to be switched for white. This was no problem and his sandwich was great. The bread was very light and airy without being flimsy. We decided to try out the donuts that they still had. We asked about the variety and the employee said that coming at opening is your best bet for a wider variety, as the Sherrifs and the Goldendale PD come in for dozens in the morning. I had a Bismarck and Erik had a Chocolate Maple glazed. They were fresh and tasty, with a really good chocolate glaze, not too sweet. We will definitely come back and keep trying the options on the menu. read more

New to town. Went in to get some baked goods at 9 am ( hour after they opened). The donuts were pretty good and fresh. The sticky buns were a weird flavor like peanut butter. My husband liked them though. I liked the texture of the bun just not the flavor. I wish they had cinnamon rolls. Prices are decent. You have to get there early to get more of a variety, there wasn't much left. Will be back but have had way better. Staff didn't even acknowledge me when I walked by until I was ready to pay. read more
