Updating this review from five years ago. Kelly's has been a staple in my household for a long time…read morenow. We actually started keeping a log on all the flavors we've tried, because we want to avoid repeats if we can. And just when I think Kelly might be slipping, they bust out fighting again with new flavors that just blow my mind. This particular location is my homebase. It's in the perfect location. I could walk there if I wanted to. Ambiance is nice and clean, with a bunch of tables and a little area outside for the kids to play, and maybe even see one of Oviedo's last remaining chickens/roosters. Service is always good. Everyone gets samples, and everyone gets huge scoops. The price has gotten up there in the past couple of years, but I feel like the scoop size also has to compensate for it. As for the ice cream itself, it's always top notch. Their flavors aren't just vanilla or chocolate ice cream with stuff stuffed in it. Their ice cream bases are often unique, too, like spice mocha coffee ice cream, peanut butter ice cream, blueberry ice cream, etc. And then you add in the mix-ins, the swirles, there's sometimes extra crumbles sprinkled on top. The Bourbon Ball flavor that they just released is one of their best flavors of all time. Kelly's is one of Orlando's OGs, and they do a good job continuing to reinvent themselves.

People would always RAVE to me about Kelly's Ice Cream. "What's the big deal?" I always thought…read more It's just ice cream. Well, y'all were right. Kelly's is IT. Their ice cream tastes truly fantastic. When you're not eating freshly made ice cream on the regular, you can start to forget what that freshness tastes like. Allow Kelly's to remind you! They have flavors that change every month as well as a regular rotation of their classics. I'm a superfan of their Cookie Monster ice cream, which combines my two favorite things: cake batter ice cream and Oreos. My bestie swears by their Banana Pudding flavor. I usually try some of their seasonal flavors too, and honestly none of their flavors disappoint. I once got a PB&J with potato chips flavor, which sounds wild, and it was! But it was so fun and delicious too. This location has some seating inside and out, so it's nice to drop in to on a hot summer night. If you don't have time to eat there, they have take home pints of all the flavors, even seasonal, in the stand-alone freezer so you can grab and go without waiting in line. There's even a Little Free Library outside, so bring some books to donate or come pick some up.

We have been passing this place for so long and finally decided to order! The service was friendly…read moreand efficient and super flexible when we changed from delivery to pick up. I love supporting small business so we were excited to support an Oviedo business. The reason for my 3 stars is that I just didn't love the pizza. We ordered an 18" Bianca and 18" cheese with toppings. The crust was very tough and honestly didn't have a lot of flavor. I prefer a doughy pizza but since this is brick oven, I understand it has to be thin, but it was burnt in some spots and without a lot of flavor overall. The Bianca was pretty good in terms of cheese and we added spinach but the ricotta was flavorless. I think the ricotta can really make or break a white pizza so adding some spices would go a long way. For the cheese pizza, we did half with 3 toppings and the other half with 3 toppings. The taste was ok, but again, the crust left a lot to be desired. I don't know if it was an off night or maybe this is the norm or maybe I'm just picky. I'm from the northeast so good pizza is a commodity and not easy to come by. I can't say we'll rush back but based on the other reviews, we may come back and try other menu items. We didn't dine in but the location and building itself is cute and feels like a small town family business, which we love! Hoping this was a one off and the other menu items are better!

Decided to finally order from this local legend of a pizza place one Saturday night when I decided…read moreto stay in to watch the soccer game. Being an Oviedoan, you hear nothing but good things about this place, and I was feeling pizza, so it just made sense. Location is super fantastic, just a stone's throw away from my place and historic downtown. Take-out only, so there's only one parking spot on property. Get in, and get out. I love it. Service was amazing. They had my food ready when I got there, and the team were some of the nicest folks I've ever met. As for the pies, we got two 12-inches. First was the Fig and Prosciutto (Organic figs, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto baked on a drilled olive oil crust, finished with arugula served with a side of balsamic (no red sauce)). This was a really good pie. The bitter arugula with the sweet figs with the tang of that balsamic, just really well designed. I was surprised a mom and pop came up with this. Very nice. Then came the Chicken Bacon Ranch (Ranch sauce based, chicken, crumbled bacon and mozzarella cheese (no red sauce)). This one was a lot of fun. Usually chicken on pizza is served in chunks that are too big, but this chicken was diced, so you got chicken and bacon in even amounts in every single bite. It was really cool. Big fan. These 12-inches are also perfect for getting two and splitting them. You'll have one or two slices leftover the next day, which is fine, because these pizzas eat well cold. We also got the Garlic Knots (1/2 dozen garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce). Amazing knots. They go for a lot of little ones, so you get an amazing crispy outside-to-soft inside ratio. Garlic and olive oil everywhere to get some good stuff in every bite. Overall, I had no idea that this kind of quality was literally a mile away from my front door. I never had a local go-to pizza place before this day, but man, I am so glad.

I decided to do the large size iced Thai tea with brulee on top (about 7 dollars). After ordering, we waited in an open space in the back. A couple minutes later, my tea came. I think I ordered my tea half sweet, which was perfect as I can enjoy the flavors of the Thai tea. The brulee on top added more sweetness when I needed it. After finishing the tea, I ate the brulee, which matched the creme brulee taste from the restaurants. Service was friendly and there was ample room to sit and enjoy the tea. Smooth jazz music was in the background, making the environment inviting. While you order at the counter, the staff delivers the tea to you. This was a very nice tea place in Oviedo. Since it is very close to the park at Oviedo, it is awesome to refresh after a great dinner and a nice walk at the park. Definitely my go-to place for tea in Oviedo!

You can tell the quality is there -- super flavorful, creamy, and not overly artificial tasting. Every bite was rich and satisfying, and honestly I couldn't even wait to take a proper picture before digging in. Second, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They clearly love what they do. They took their time recommending flavors, let us try different samples, and made the whole experience feel fun instead of rushed. That level of friendliness really makes a place memorable. And lastly, I LOVED that they had games available to play. Such a cute and thoughtful touch! It made the visit feel more like a cozy hangout than just a quick dessert stop. Sitting there, playing games, and enjoying good ice cream was such a vibe. Overall, such a sweet little spot with great energy, great service, and delicious ice cream. I also saw a board where customers could write messages, but didn't see a marker available. Staff do a great job keeping tables and chairs clean for new customers coming in. The café is very cute, clean, organized, and staff are super friendly. They have a variety of items to choose from - sundae's, affogato, Ice cream floats, ice cream latte's, shaved Ice, milkshakes, tea, hot chocolate, coffee, protein shakes, and more. I have to admit that it is a bit pricy. A junior ice cream scoop is $5.25; a single scoop is $6.25; a mini sundae is $9.70 and a regular sundae is $12.20+. An Americano coffee is $4.15 and a café con leche is $5.65. Iced latte's café's run between $6.25 - $7.00. An Affogato is $9.20 and an Ice cream float is $8.70. We went all-in on the Banana Split to share ($14.66 with tax minus tip). When you add-in the tip it's about the price of a lunch item at one of my regular stops during the week. Staff did an excellent job preparing our banana split and we appreciate that we were able to choose the ice cream of our choice; we selected the Totally Coconut, Felicita Brownie, and Rocket Toffee Crunch; the Totally Coconut was my favorite out of the three. All-n-all, we had a great experience and really enjoyed our Banana Split. I would definitely come back again next time I'm in the area. If I lived here it would have to be a special treat because it is expensive; regardless, I highly recommend them if you are in the area and looking for a sweet treat.
