Violets Ice Cream Boutique is located just across from Oviedo on the Park and is a great destination for ice cream. The service here was absolutely phenomenal and they have a great selection of ice cream. After trying a few, I went with a scoop of triple peanut butter and a scoop of pistachio. Bith were absolutely fantastic. The ambiance here is all in purple, or I guess it would be violet. Not sure why the name, but pleasant enough. Oviedo has some amazing ice cream places. In addition to Violets Ice Cream Boutique, youu have Kelly's a few miles up the road and they just opened a Handel's. Oviedo is becoming an Ice cream destination. I would definitely recommend Violets Ice Cream Boutique and I will give it five stars. read more

The churn machine made the ice cream so much better!!! The dairy free toasted coconut is amazing along with the raspberry dream. Amish chocolate with Mint combo in the churn was incredible. When they first opened I remembered the list of the cool ice cream combos with toppings that made the place unique with the fun names and creative designs. Made me want to try more of the ice cream combos. Case was very patient with my kids we came here on a rainy night and he was so nice. They have kids scoops which are still hugs and lots of topping options. If you haven't tried it come check it out. After having a light lunch I was craving something sweet! This ice cream shop is known for it serving Amish ice cream which I've never had before. As soon as you walk in it is all violet everything, which of course goes perfectly with the name. The place was very clean and smelled like fresh waffle cones! The ice cream shop was empty when I went so my husband and I were able to order right away! I got two scoops of sorbet (mango & raspberry) and my husband got a scoop of their strawberry cheesecake ice cream! The sorbets were soft and refreshing and had a great taste to them that was more like the actual fruit instead of a fruit flavoring that is overly sweet. My husband absolutely loved his, especially with the cake pieces inside. Overall this was a great experience and I'll definitely be back! read more

Only open two months, Violet's is definitely a welcome addition to the Sanford area and you can sign up for their loyalty program to earn points (75) towards a free scoop. I'm a mint chocolate chip girl and this is one of the better brands I've ever tried. Fresh and creamy, no after taste due to chemicals. It's not very often I get to this side of town but when I do, I'm always pleasantly surprised with the food offerings. This was a group decision of "man I'm really craving ice cream! what's around?" after dinner situation. So happy we opted to come here vs ordering dessert at dinner! This place is a counter service establishment with a lot of different offerings. It was actually very busy when we arrived to get in line. It is a small places with vibrant colored couches and decor. I am obsessed with their ice cream. I love the variety of flavors they have. My favorites are the brown sugar and the cinnamon coffee cake ice cream. Their option to churn is also great if you want to mix flavors or toppings. I would compare the churns to a McFlurry or blizzards. The quality of the ice cream is so good and I am so happy they opened another location that's more south Orlando which is much closer to me. I did come to this location first and fell in love. We walked over to Violet's after eating lunch at a nearby restaurant. I ordered a milkshake which was as expected - tasty! The counter staff was really friendly while we ordered. This is the type of place that is basically a counter to order....yes, there were a few places to sit, but we just took it to go and ate in on our way. The parking lot for this place is challenging if I am being honest, but I have not yet not been able to find a spot. They have 28 ice cream flavors like cinnamon coffee cake, amish chocolate, cookies and cream or mint chocolate chip. They also have 26 toppings (pretty much anything your heart desires) The home made waffle cones and waffle cups are very tasty as well. The menu is a bit complicated and they don't have the flavor selection on a wall or menu so you have pretty much be at the counter to pick what you want. Decor and ambience are chill. Violets Ice Cream Boutique is one of quite a few new places opening up right in my little area of Oviedo. It's literally a short walk away from my front door. Because of that distance, I was really hoping it was gonna be bad. But alas, it was not bad. It was really, really good. I came over here with some friends of mine one evening to check the place out. And I will say, the visuals everywhere were really striking. Everything is very purple and contrasts with bright white and gold and neon. Very fun scene. The line was decently long that evening, so I got a good chance to browse the menu to see what I wanted. There were flavors and scoops and toppings, of course, as well as a few curated combos that brought everything together. I actually can't find those combos online right now, but I know that I got a s'mores monstrosity. I don't use the word monstrosity in a negative manner, but I certainly don't use it lightly. Look at the thing. It was very imposing and very obviously meant for two people. But I dug deep and I housed the whole thing, waffle bowl and all. Quality of the ice cream was pretty good. They say it's Amish, like that's supposed to mean it's different, but nothing was noticeably different here. Just solid ice cream. The toppings kept it interesting, though. Graham crackers, marshmallows, fluffer, waffle bowl, it made every bite good! I also got to sample a combo that was very cinnamony and caramely. It was nice. Overall, this was a very good ice cream shop. I will probably be back purely for proximity reasons. read more

Pros: This place opened in a very convenient spot, just down the street from our apartment. The ambiance of the inside it very strikingly neon purple and is very inviting and attractive. The service was good. They didn't talk a lot, because they spent a lot of time crafting these giant ice cream monstrosities. Lol. And the ice cream itself was very good, and it you like toppings, this place will Give you some toppings. Cons: Nothing overtly conny. Their claim to fame is serving Amish ice cream, but it was just the same as regular ice cream. Everyone needs a gimmick, I guess. Tips: Go with a premade combination. I was curious-what makes Violets different from the other ice cream places in town? When I walked in, the interior looked and smelled (the fresh waffle cone smell) like the others. The wall poster informs the reader that Violets' dairy ingredients are sourced solely from an Amish community near Sarasota. Curiosity piqued, I decided to return after my meal. Hard-packed ice cream containers behind glass are clearly labeled with the flavors. Violets specialty flavors are available for a slight premium. Waffle cones are available and I went with a single scoop of Mocha Chip on this visit. Because it was my first visit, I wondered how big a scoop is. Fortunately the serving filled my cup! The first taste immediately confirmed quality ingredients. The creaminess was enjoyable along with the mocha flavor and the sizable chocolate bits (no shavings!). Since it was close to closing, we just got a scoop each instead of asking her to make us sundaes. I got the mango sorbet which was refreshing. This location is super cute. It's nice that you can enjoy your ice cream inside or outside. We have tried this place twice. The first time we had amazing service and the ice cream was delicious. The second time our favorite flavor was no longer in rotation. I also wanted a kid size portion but unfortunately adults can only buy the small.
