She came to Improv not too long ago which is a lot closer to where I live and missed her show. What a bummer!:-( Well, last night we made this a reality. She had 2 shows. One was at 7pm, and the other one was at 9pm. Closed on Mondays and they open the bar/club at 6pm. We went to the 9pm show. The drive over there was pretty hectic and far. My friend offered to drive, since she has a newer car.. Well, a friend of mine and I decided to go see her live last night and we are both glad that we did! She was FANTASTIC! Can't comment about the food, because we had both eaten before we went. However, we both got drinks. I got a small Espresso Martini(made to perfection)! She got a beer and we both got 2 bottled waters and Sprite. We were sitting not too far away from the stage and the sound of the microphone and overall the system was great! No complaints. They hold many different events from comedy to concerts. You can even dance. They have a decent dance floor, and the venue itself was fairly large, with bar tables and chairs. It was somewhat crowded, but we were not bothered with that. Customer service hit the mark. Tickets were $41.00 & up. Venue was nice, clean, including restrooms and we parked outside on the street. I believe they also have their own parking.One other thing that I should mention, it gives you that old school vibe that I love. Would highly recommend this venue and I will definitely return if and when anyone that I know and like has a gig. Was our 1st time, and definitely will NOT be the last. If eating good to reserve a table so you can enjoy it for the night rather than standing for the concert. The food is American like with pizza being the featured item. The food is not cheap but you are at a concert hall. The venue also offers a full bar: the cocktails were ok but nothing to rave about. I would say your focus should be to enjoy the music. I thought the performance we saw was solid and cost a mere 19 dollars. And maybe grab some drinks. Remember the venue is not large so plan to be among the crowd on the floor unless you grab a table along the wall. There are only about 4-5 tables not in VIP area and maybe three in VIP area. Not sure why unwind.studio lists them as a Stockist but alas, it was great to finally have a reason to check this place out. It is a maker's collective so there are various forms of art available for purchase. But, also, they have a variety of classes that I am definitely going to explore their schedule because I am interested in the Dubai Chocolate Bar class and candle making, among others. Definitely a neat space and you can get some inspiration by checking out the crafts available for sale.

Got a nice couch facing the band where my wife and I had a great time. But those few heads very quickly turned into a full house. A funny side note, the drummer was a young dude and his band mates were easily in their 50s and 60s. The music for the night was a New Orleans style. Nice thing is there were no hoodrats in the place. All decent good people there to enjoy good drinks and good music. Rick, the bartender, makes a great margarita.

Went to their New Year's Eve party, which featured a live band and a burlesque show. Seems like they transformed the space a bit for NYE, with cabaret tables and such, which is different than other descriptions, but worked well for the type of evening. Food was not being served during the NYE event, so we ate downstairs at Killer Shrimp first (separate review). Staff up in the Yacht Club Speakeasy was friendly and welcoming, and the bar was nicely stocked, though they only had large, plastic cups (20oz college kegger size), and all drinks were served in them, which was a bit of a contrast to the supposedly upscale NYE vibe. No matter, this is a very minor point. The dance floor is ample, and the live band was very good. The band was primarily playing older rock and American songbook standards rather than contemporary tracks, again because the crowd was mostly on the older side; different, I assume, from the regular crowd. In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Zoie truly stands out. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality made a lasting impression on me. I've been an AMC Stubs member for since 2014, and I can honestly say I've never experienced service this fast, thoughtful, and welcoming. Zoie is a tremendous asset to AMC. If she's not already in a leadership or management role, I have no doubt she has all the qualities to excel in one. Thank you, Zoie, for turning a small inconvenience into such a positive experience! I was so intrigued by some of the art I saw while walking past so I decided to venture in. There was a guy inside working on a new piece of art and chatting with someone. He seemed friendly but I didn't want to interrupt an artist at work. The pieces inside the gallery are just WOW! It's nostalgic, thought-provoking, and provocative all at the same time. It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. We typically like to walk over to Go Greek on Ocean Avenue afterward for a fun FroYo snack.
