This place is actually pretty cool! Very safe and secure. Reservations online required for entry. They do not take walk ins. There's parking directly next door to this place. It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. If you have motion sickness, you can do this! BUT YOU must know how to recalibrate your equilibrium first! Or at least know your triggers. I have motion sickness and Ican not ride 3D/4D rides without feeling queezy. I can not watch the classic Star Wars movie because it was too shaky for me. Hell, (spoilers) i didnt even know they blew up the death star because i couldnt watch the ending of the first movie! I can't do Star Tours, soaring over the world/california, spinning rides, playing first person shooter (fps) games...get the picture? I had to try this for myself to say if I truly can or can not do VR. There are "moving" elements in this VR game that can cause motion sickness. Standing still as your surroundings move is a major part of this very immersing game! You will also be going "up/down" ramps on a flat service, so that will throw off your equilibrium. Defying virtual physics is what Dennis explained. I had my ways to gain back my center and refocus as I was playing this game. If you wear glasses, please bring them, it will help! I thought I had mine, but I forgot it. The staff will help you get calibrated with the equipment and send you on your way. At one point, my vr set started to get blurry so I had a hard time seeing the enemies, but they were big enough to see when they're "five feet" in front of you, lol. It also got blurry because sweat was starting to form around my eyes. This is going to be a very lengthy review. First off, parking is a little confusing if you're not from the area. I had to circle three times to park on the same side as this venue. There is a parking structure on the opposite side of the street. All structures give you 90 minutes free without the need of validation. Then, it can go up to $25 for the maximum structure price. The venue is like the TARDIS. It's bigger on the inside, haha. The door remains locked, but they have a ring doorbell that contains a phone number to call for someone to come open the door for you. Talk about a personal greeting! When you first walk in, you have a set of stairs. They also have a handicap lift, so they are ADA compliant! Kudos! They have a row of stationery equipment that allows you to run/walk in place and turn. They also have a two-seater ride. They have 5 seatbelts that will strap you in for safety. One for each shoulder, one for your lap, and one each for your feet. They also have an overhead bar that you pull down as if youre actually on a Rollercoaster. If you ride the Rollercoaster one, you will get sick. You will experience the motion, but you won't get the effect (wind/air) of a moving vehicle. They have a wall of lights set as an aquarium as a little seated waiting area. They suggest optimum fun and experience, 6 to 8 people in your party. That is also how many guests can play in each area. They have two areas that are meant for 8 players, their pvp area and their main floor. Get this! They have an escape room, max is 6 players! I definitely want to come back and try this one! Another area is family friendly and is great for up to 6 people as well. Dennis explained to us that the reason this place has the word "World" in this establishment is because these rooms came from all over the place! I think he said the family friendly room was from china/taiwan/japan...etc.. so that's pretty cool! They have a little area where you can host a party, but it's not secluded, it's open to the public. This venue is open to the public and walk-ins are good, but you may have to wait. Dennis mentioned some guest had to wait 2-3 hours until their turn. The guest did leave a deposit to ensure their spot in line. So they suggest to book online to set up a reservation. Each gaming area is about a 30 minute session. You will sweat because you will be moving a lot. It is a workout! Only one sad note, I wish there was more air flow in the building. Because I have motion sickness, I needed fresh air to cool me down. This was a fun experience and I do intend on coming back! read more

Ok, so I'm not a huge gamer.. but when I do I love playing girly games, hahaa. My husband wanted to do this since he played this in Las Vegas and loved it, we happened to be in the area and needed to kill some time for traffic to die down, and ended up spending awhile in here, from having too much fun. I personally loved the cooking game the most, it was a 10/10 I was laughing and enjoying every second of it, it had us laughing from how awful we were but were so determined. We played the less intense zombie shooting game and then a pirate shooting game, I am a huge baby so I settled to play these, even though I still was screaming at a few times while playing, haha. Our very first VR experience was at Odyssey VR at Irvine, and it wasn't a good one. The guy basically strapped us in and let us do our own thing. The whole time the game was going, you just heard the four of us constantly saying "how do we reload??" So, of course, we died real quick. This place. OMG. Just the customer service was a complete 180. He (forgot his name) taught us everything we needed to know to play the game, so during the game we screamed a lot (at the zombies) but we knew exactly what to do the whole time. We had options to play between a zombie shooter, aliens, or far cry. We opted for the zombie experience and it was a blast!! We had so much fun we booked another 30 min session right after to try far cry experience. Manager at the store is intolerant. 2 times during the game. I took my headset off the first time was because I had sweat in my eye. Ot was only for 1 second and the manager yelled at me to keep my headset on. The second time was to adjust the blurry spot. And he yelled at me again. Explaining that it would mess up the game. Which it didn't. And I've been at the century location before. He was extremely rude. I beleive his name was Mike. He had no clue how to be polite to us. Besides that and the creepy part. He was extremely rude and if I was the owner of the store I wouldn't allow this. Discrimination against customers is highly looked down upon. Honestly, this is the best VR experience I've had thus far. My husband and I were on a date, and wanted to try something fun before eating lunch. I had booked an Outbreak session through Fever, and didn't know that we'd be in for a treat. When we arrived, we rang the doorbell and was greeted by Dennis. He was super friendly and very informative throughout this whole process. He gave us a tour of the place, and honestly the area is pretty spacious. Dennis gave us a little overview of what to expect, and showed us the little how-to video to get us started. I was scared I would get motion sickness, but honestly, the way the head piece is calibrated here, I didn't get sick at all. It was so freaking fun! It's also a nice cardio workout! You get to walk into elevators, walk up vents, and so much more. The zombies come at you fast, so it makes it exciting. You don't know what to expect. Both my husband and I ended up drenched after our session. Dennis was able to get clips of us on my phone, and it was hilarious watching us. I love that you also get a little highlight video too in your email after you're done. Super cool! We went as a group of four, myself, my 10 & 12 year old and a significant other. The outside is just a small door which is locked with a number to call but the staff saw us and let us in. This isn't uncommon for most escape room venues I have been to. But there is much larger spaces inside. We had booked Dragon Tower escape game, when we arrived the staff member let us know that for most kids the first person shooter type game was more exciting than the escape room. For many this may be true but for us we specifically went to do an escape room and had done escape rooms as a family before. So if you booked an escape room and know then don't let them talk you out of it. This is my only minor gripe as my son oof course wanted to do the first person shooter and was upset when we didn't change our minds, so I wish the staff member had spoken with me privately prior to making that announcement to the group. Once we did enter the game it was amazing. I had never done a VR experience like this and it took a little to get used to. My GF has a fear of heights and initially when the room was just a grid it made her quite nervous but once she realized she could just take off the head set if she became too afraid she was ok and never took it off again. The VR was quite impressive and it really made you think you were in the real room, even stepping over things on the ground and walking around items in the room as if they were there. I thought it was funny at the start when they warned you not to sit on chairs or tables because they are not really there but now I know why! At the end of the experience when going back into the real world you mind needs to take a moment to reach out and touch the things around you that are now real! I would 100% do this again and are planning which game to do the next time we return! read more

The customer service of this place is RUDE and dismissive. My son recently attended a friend's bday party and he came home to complain that there was a worker there who didn't let him play like the other kids got to play even though he stood in line to wait his turn. So I called to inquire about it and the person answering the phone became defensive and said he was there and nobody there was "gatekeeping" to prevent my son from playing. I told him well my son came home upset and wouldn't lie about something like that. With a rude and sarcastic tone, the worker said "yea your son wouldn't lie". My husband and I checked out this place last weekend. It just opened. As you enter it has some arcade-type stand alone VR games and a few that look like a helicopter cockpit that spin you around a bit. I didn't play those since I get vertigo easily. I played a group shooter game with machine gun and a headset. They have a really large square area for this. The graphics were very realistic. I was crouching behind a jeep, taking cover against enemy fire. Meanwhile my husband was taking pictures of me looking silly, jumping around at nothing. The staff was really nice, especially Bijan who helped me when my headset needed some adjusting with volume control and fit. When my kids were little I always took them to play laser tag. This seems like the thing the new generation of kids will want to do for their birthday parties. Or grownup kids, for that matter! I took my niece, and her girlfriend to Player One VR World; it was a BLAST! We found out about Player One because of Groupon, and I could not have been happier to have found this gem. However, there was an issue with the Groupon experience I purchased. To our delight, Dennis did not hesitate to upgrade our experience to be sure we were accommodated. Speaking of Dennis, from the time I made the call to Player One, he was fantastic! Dennis provided exceptional customer service from the phone call to the end of our experience. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions (we had more than a few lol). This place looks "small" on the outside, but don't be deceived. It is large inside, and there's a ton of fun to be had. Also, there's a parking lot right next door that is free for 90 minutes. We did the VR Escape Room, and had an amazing time. I had done two prior escape rooms at other places. However, neither of them were virtual reality. Adding virtual reality to an escape room experience is brilliant. Oh, and we DID escape! Yay! That was the icing on an already pretty sweet cake. We can't wait to go back to Player One for some more VR fun! read more

We celebrated our 11-yr old's birthday party with 9 kids! They did 2 rounds of the cooking game and 1 zombie game and were shrieking in delight, terror and excitement! They also did the 360 ride and the motorcycle ride which were both super fun. Luke was our host and made the process so easy and an overall amazing experience start to finish. They gave us extra tickets for the rides and so the parents got to enjoy some rides as well. The party room was well-decorated - simple and tasteful.
