It's worth watching movies here!…read more They match the ambience and cocktails to the movie that they are going to be showing. When you choose seats further back, you can capture the screen experience better on your phone. When you choose seats closer to the front, the movie experience is wonderful, and it cannot be captured by phone. It is a very in the moment experience. They do check your tickets because there are a lot of people trying to sit in seats they didn't pay for. As for food and drinks, everything has been great so far, we've tried the: KOREAN CORN CHEESE NACHOS MEDITERRANEAN CHICKEN PITA HIBISCUS MARGARITA TROPIC HEAT MARGARITA Except, the SPICY CHEDDAR POPCORN, it's not spicy at all and it is delicious. My only qualm is that the powder used is very light so it goes up your nose very easily and it is very aggravating to the nose and throat. If you hear someone coughing, this is probably why. If you are coming to for the bar experience, it is scary when they open the doors and everyone is running in to get seats and tables. It kind of has the rush of a Black Friday feeling. Still worth it! Very fun watching a game here too!

What an amazing oasis in the middle of the SFV! I'm so glad this garden has reopened to the public…read more The grounds are beautiful and serene, and I really appreciate how they've integrated nature with sustainability by using reclaimed water to supply the garden's pond. We visited today and were lucky enough to catch a performance by the Taiko Project. Their performance honestly gave me chills! Love that they also talked about the history of taiko in Japan and US and they even had volunteers at the end of the show to try taiko drumming! There was also Kamishibai storytelling in the tea garden, which the kids really enjoyed. They also have Japanese Garden "I Spy" sheet for the kids to do and Clean Water Patrol activity book. This is def one of those low stress, high vibe activities that I highly recommend. Just a heads-up though, outside food and drinks aren't allowed inside, but water is ok. There are restrooms near the entrance as well as behind the tea garden. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. We had such a relaxing afternoon and are already looking forward to coming back for more events at this little oasis.

It feels peaceful, well cared for, and instantly calming the moment you walk in. There is a small $5 admission fee, which honestly feels completely worth it, especially because it clearly helps keep the grounds so clean, beautiful, and well maintained. I brought my parents here while they were visiting, and they absolutely loved it. If you're lucky enough to visit during the right season, you may even catch the cherry blossoms, which make the whole experience even more special. There is also plenty of parking on site, which makes visiting easy. One thing to keep in mind is that they are closed on Sundays. Also, if you have extra time, Sepulveda Basin Lake is nearby and worth checking out as well. A lovely, serene spot that feels like a hidden gem in the Valley.

### 2024 review 14/100###…read more First time on CSUN campus for a Helix Channel Surfers Concert at Plaza del Sol. It's been renovated, from what we heard. Parking structure a couple blocks away, pay at the machine before we made our way to the hall. Pre-reception was held in the lobby area with a basic bar, the usual snacks and drinks available for purchase: wine and beer, hot cocoa, coffee. Concert hall was great, with comfy chairs and nice acoustics.

The theater was much larger on the inside than I thought it would be. I got to watch the CSUN…read moreorchestra perform, and the acoustics were great. During the first half the lighting seemed a little too bright and it almost washed out the players, but they lowered the level during the second half. The seats were almost too comfortable. I was super tired and had a hard time not falling asleep, but that's not the venue's fault, that was my fault. The guys at the ticket booth were really fast and efficient. I liked how everyone was very formal and proper. It was an orchestra performance, so all of the players were wearing tuxes and black dresses. Even all the ushers and people collecting tickets were dressed very clean. My favorite person there was the double bass player that had an afro. He looked so clean with a fro and a tux. During the intermission, it's really nice to be able to walk just outside the theater and grab a snack at the Mercantile Exchange. There is no food allowed in the theater by the way, but that's expected. This is a great theater. I'm sure it isn't as jaw-dropping as the Valley Performing Arts Theater, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Plaza del Sol Theater. I am a trumpet player at CSUN and I'm looking forward to playing here next month! I will definitely come here again to hear other ensembles perform.
