So if you read my review from October 2025, I really blasted this place, and I don't normally do…read morethat on yelp. After my review, the customer service team reached out to me and gave me credits to use at COSM which I felt was a very fair gesture. I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a few months ago, and my girlfriend and I had a blast. The food was great, the servers were nice, and there was no Dancing with the Stars Reception making a bunch of noise behind us LOL. I definitely recommend this place. The fact that establishment actually responded to my complaint and made a very nice gesture to rectify the situation shows a class act company who cares. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks again! Michael

Although butter beer was sold out, he provided mocktail to replace it. Also got the hufflepuff popcorn because all the other ones were sweet. I didnt taste jalapeno but the cheese flavor was there. The sheppards pie was good and so was the wings but thats hard to mess up. If you sit by the right side of the couch, your view may be blocked by the armrest unless you sit towards the front. I just didnt like that people would keep walking by to take orders, pass out food and they would block the screen. I wouldve been so mad if i never watched the film. If a customer is undecided, theyd stand there longer. The people in front of us came late so there was a few minutes of blocked screen time. If you get motion sickness, itll be better to sit further from the screen. There is parking and they validate it when you enter.

Restrooms inside clean. It was a really nice and relaxing well kept garden. Cool history and plenty of photo opportunities. It had wildlife as well ducks and goose. All in all a hidden gem.

We visited today and were lucky enough to catch a performance by the Taiko Project. Their performance honestly gave me chills! Love that they also talked about the history of taiko in Japan and US and they even had volunteers at the end of the show to try taiko drumming! There was also Kamishibai storytelling in the tea garden, which the kids really enjoyed. They also have Japanese Garden "I Spy" sheet for the kids to do and Clean Water Patrol activity book. This is def one of those low stress, high vibe activities that I highly recommend. Just a heads-up though, outside food and drinks aren't allowed inside, but water is ok. There are restrooms near the entrance as well as behind the tea garden. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. We had such a relaxing afternoon and are already looking forward to coming back for more events at this little oasis.

    ### 2024 review 14/100###…read more First time on CSUN campus for a Helix Channel Surfers Concert at Plaza del Sol. It's been renovated, from what we heard. Parking structure a couple blocks away, pay at the machine before we made our way to the hall. Pre-reception was held in the lobby area with a basic bar, the usual snacks and drinks available for purchase: wine and beer, hot cocoa, coffee. Concert hall was great, with comfy chairs and nice acoustics.

During the first half the lighting seemed a little too bright and it almost washed out the players, but they lowered the level during the second half. The seats were almost too comfortable. I was super tired and had a hard time not falling asleep, but that's not the venue's fault, that was my fault. The guys at the ticket booth were really fast and efficient. I liked how everyone was very formal and proper. It was an orchestra performance, so all of the players were wearing tuxes and black dresses. Even all the ushers and people collecting tickets were dressed very clean. My favorite person there was the double bass player that had an afro. He looked so clean with a fro and a tux. During the intermission, it's really nice to be able to walk just outside the theater and grab a snack at the Mercantile Exchange. There is no food allowed in the theater by the way, but that's expected. This is a great theater. I'm sure it isn't as jaw-dropping as the Valley Performing Arts Theater, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Plaza del Sol Theater. I am a trumpet player at CSUN and I'm looking forward to playing here next month! I will definitely come here again to hear other ensembles perform.
