The drum department has lots of the essentials, and pretty fair amount of used gear at fair prices, but not a plethora of options. But I get it. I was in retail in a previous life. It's brutal. I support local when I can but I'm part of the problem.. I also order stuff online at 1 in the morning cuz I can get price and product comparisons and see what fits my needs and budget at the moment. I hope these guys are here for a long time. We need stores where we can walk in and touch and feel and test out stuff, and talk with people who are knowledgeable and passionate. Students are allowed to experience the class how they wish. Some choose to stay on a lap, while others wander around the circle or room. Either way, they absorb everything! We get to sing songs from the semester's CD, use a variety of instruments such as egg shakers, bells, sticks, drums, scarves, as well as get up and dance. Then it's time for free instrument play, which is the favorite for most children. I have truly enjoyed watching my daughter grow musically while attending these classes. Now we have so much fun in the car or at home singing our songs and doing movements from class. Miss Pyper also came to my daughter's 2nd birthday party and did a music session for the kids. She brought instruments, and we sang songs that went along with the farm theme. She even made us a CD to keep that included a personalized Happy Birthday song! The kids and parents all enjoyed themselves, and we made great memories.
