My whole family will forever be thankful to every staff member and medical professional who aided in their health journey. The doctor should have cleared the room of all family members and ask the patient specific questions regarding cognitive and memory conditions. But no, this doctor asked the patient while the abusive family member was standing right on top of them these questions. The patient feeling threatened of abandonment from specific family members coward to their specific direction and we're unable to speak freely being confronted by the abusive family member. The family member who held power of attorney then threatened the doctor, nurses and other hospital staff. No report of elder abuse which could be construed as being a loving family member and protocols were thrown out the window. The family member who held the power of attorney documents over the hospital and NOT conservator ship then bullied Hospital staff not to give other family members life-threatening information, causing irreparable damage to the patient who was already in a Fraele medical condition. Shame on San Joaquin Hospital for not reading between the lines of what is not a loving family member but a abusive, iron fist controlling individual. God will judge those involved. This heartfelt message has been written by a family member in what I feel is the issue that needs to be addressed with a parent who cannot cope with overbearing family members. God will address this.

She got me all prepped very friendly professional , very clean, tidy room. I sent my wife home. My procedure takes 60- 90 minutes, then recovery is about three to four hours. I remember being wheeled into the cath lab and the friendly professional staff that helped me feel comfortable. I woke up in my room, All went well Dr Sandu called my wife I don't remember seeing him but he came in and we talked. My new nurse P was excellent like B was, she checked on me every 15 minutes brought me a turkey sandwich that wasn't fancy, Turkey on white bread, but I'd give it a 10 I was starving and it was delicious. I dosed in and out for a few hours got some good rest. My wife picked up a prescription that was called in on her way to get me. P went through all the post op paperwork with us and placed a-splint on my right wrist she was awesome My experience at Memorial was outstanding it's worth the drive across town. Jose from transportation was my favorite, he wheeled me out to our car to go home. Thanks memorial hospital

I'll admit that we initially had some concerns based on what we had heard and read beforehand. However, our experience ultimately exceeded every expectation. The labor and delivery turned into a very intense and emotional situation. Our baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and went into distress, requiring an emergency C-section. It was a frightening moment, but the medical team acted quickly, decisively, and with incredible skill. Looking back, we truly believe their actions made all the difference and may have saved our baby's life. After delivery, our baby spent three weeks in the NICU recovering from respiratory issues, a staph infection, and learning how to feed. During that time, the NICU doctors and nurses were nothing short of extraordinary. They were compassionate, attentive, and endlessly patient--not only caring for our baby but also guiding us as new parents. They took the time to teach us techniques and build our confidence, which made the transition home so much smoother. What stood out most was how genuinely supported we felt. The team treated us with kindness and respect, and by the end of our stay, we truly felt like we had formed meaningful connections with them. We always felt that our baby was in capable, caring hands. Today, our baby is thriving, and we are deeply grateful. We have complete confidence in the care we received at Kern Medical's Labor & Delivery and NICU, and we will always appreciate the role they played in giving our child such a strong start.

His condition caused uncontrolled muscle spasms, making it hard to hold still for blood pressure checks. Instead of showing the slightest patience and compassion, the check-in nurse treated him like a kid putting on a show, repeatedly snapping orders at him. When I tried to politely step in and speak for him since we were just watching him struggle to get a word out, she slowly turned her head at me and rudely said, "I asked the patient, not you. Let him answer." We then waited 4 hours in the lobby just for a pre-evaluation. Despite seeing other patients bringing their partners along with them while being called back, staff yelled "Just you though" when calling him back. I found it odd, but just let it be. The medical evaluation itself was completely incompetent. They gave him a urine cup and he had agreed to draw blood, yet they never actually drew his blood, never ran scans, never took X-rays, or even discussed his urine results. I was recently diagnosed with the same diagnosis he came back with. It is a severe GI condition that requires a GI cocktail and specific medication, but they gave him a IV for "dehydration," provided no actual treatment for his diagnosis, and sent him home. To top it off, he received a $3,000 bill for zero meaningful medical care. Staff negligence was everywhere. At one point while I was waiting for him in the lobby, two patients stood waiting at check-in while staff walked out to get Starbucks without acknowledging them. Ten minutes later, someone finally peeked out and rudely asked, "Do you guys need something?" Please do not risk your health here. As someone who only writes reviews when something is either really good or really bad, I would highly recommend to avoid this hospital at all costs.

I told the doctor I had a kidney stone and in addition to that my foot was also swollen to the point where I couldn't even walk on it. The doctor takes a look at my foot and says Yep it's swollen. And the conversation ended there regarding my foot. Anyone that's had a kidney stone knows that it is very painful in addition to the pain from barely being able to put weight on my foot. You would think that the doctor would offer some kind of pain relief. Instead, he let me sit there for six hours, suffering and pain when he easily could've given me something to help ease the Pain. To top it off while I was there, I hear him talking to the lady across from me that fell and hurt her harm, and he begins to listing off numerous pain medications. He can give her to help her ease the pain. I was just in disbelief But the worst thing about this encounter is I was discharged and I'm still at home. I can't walk and I have no idea what's wrong with my foot. The doctor didn't email address it. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

As a parent, I repeatedly called, left messages, and requested updates from staff and the treatment team. Unfortunately, many of my calls were not returned, and the information I did receive was often inconsistent or inaccurate. The lack of communication has caused significant stress and concern during an already difficult time for our family. I understand that mental health facilities have policies and procedures they must follow, but families deserve timely communication, transparency, and compassion. I do not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed, nor do I feel confident that my son received the level of care and support that was communicated to us. I hope this review encourages the facility to improve communication with families and ensure that patients and their loved ones receive the attention, respect, and support they deserve.
