Similar case for the country loaf. The line was about 20 people deep when we showed up and it took 20 minutes to get through. This review is a little late in writing. I'm not a morning person but for Bakery Four I set my alarm super early so I get their in time before their treats sell out and they do in a matter of couple hours even with them extending days of service and increasing their production. First timers at Bakery Four today. We got a ham breakfast sammy, a veg breakfast sammy, kougin aman, churro cruffin, garlic herb knot, white chocolate macadamia cookie, and the herb boule to take home. The sandwiches were good, not great. Bread a little dry. (Repeating something BF posted on IG, these would be FANTASTIC on the garlic herb knot, which was heavenly.) Cruffin also pretty great, they really hype the cruffins on social media so had to try it, and it didn't disappoint. They layersss were to die for. The kougin aman was my favorite of the sweet things we got. Had a hard candy-like sugar shell on the outside and the soft, buttery, layers on the inside. Highly recommend. Cookie 4.5/5, would also try the chocolate chip next time. Herb loaf was the sleeper hit. Hard exterior and maybe the softest, moistest, most flavorful bread I've ever tasted on the inside. We devoured 3/4 of the loaf (they're huge) throughout the day. Will be back! read more

If it was possible to give 5 million stars, I would give them all to Bakery Four. Is it worth getting up 30-45 minutes before they open and standing in line? 1000%. They have the classics like a croissant (regular and chocolate) and danish. The LAYERS people - it leads to the best mouthfeel with all the flakiness. Honestly, I ate the croissant layers individually. And their chocolate croissant was the best I've had in my life. Contrary to their pastries, they also make bagels. This may be controversial, but their bagels are better than Rosenberg's. It pained me a little bit to say it as a East coast girl. You can't go wrong coming here. Walked by this place a few times on days it was closed and was excited for a new bakery in the neighborhood. Finally braved an hour long wait to try it one morning and when I finally got inside they were sold out of a few items, I was inside 30 minutes after opening! The chocolate croissant is hands down the best layer action and fluffiness and perfectly melts away all in one, leaving it pretty hard to describe aside from perfection. I don't remember all the names exactly but I also really enjoyed the matcha croissant, the flavor was light but had a kick and well executed. I've stopped back in on a less crowded morning and scored the chocolate croissant one more the second time the quality of the chocolate really stood out. Really amazing kouign-amann. It has cardamom or something in there and it wasn't dense like how a lot of them can be. It was really flaky and light with some thick sugar on top. Was incredible! I was not impressed with the ham and cheese, croissant or the breakfast egg and bacon croissant. I got turkey sandwich from there and was a bit worried that it might be too simple, but it was really good with caramelized onions and cheese. Yes it's worth the pilgrimage and even a chilly wait on a bitter spring morning. Bakery Four offers consistently high quality pastries and breads in the French tradition. My favorites so far are the Morning Bun and Cardamom Bun and the Pain Au Chocolat was excellent too. I look forward to trying their bread but I'll have to wait as the loaf available looked a little large for my current needs. I had to take a friend to the airport and was out really early that Thursday morning so opted to go by Bakery Four and wait at 7:15 AM. There were two parties of two ahead of me so I was the third party served. Needless to say everything was available and I was out the door in under 5 minutes. By the time the doors opened at 8AM there were probably 40 - 50 people in line and they probably had to wait another half hour to 40 minutes before getting served... so choose when you wait. You can go before opening and you get out faster. So glad they're finally open... Congrats Bakery Four!! read more

Your food is soooo great! I don't understand why you make your customers wait in long lines for a single cashier when it seems you have ample space for more cashiers. I was in town for a few days and was looking for a bakery. I heard about this open a few days a week that was really good and needed to try. after reading reviews people were saying to arrive early because the line gets long and they sell out fast. the bakery opens at 8am and I got there at 630am and there was already a line. by 730am the line was around the corner. the person next to me was saying it was worth the wait when I asked him if the line always this long and this good. once it opened it was one person at a time because the space was very small inside. I was able to get the regular croissant, chocolate croissant , the cardamom bun and loaf of bread. once I left I went to a nearby coffee shop to get a iced coffee to pair with my croissant. once I got a taste of the croissant it was the best thing I've tasted. it has so many flaky layers and a nice crunch, so beautifully baked. it was the best croissant I have ever tasted. the loaf of bread was nice and hot and later in the day I ate a slice with butter so delicious. this place was definitely worth waiting in line for. definitely get there early to get a good selection of baked goods. read more

While I was in Denver, I discovered two great bakeries. One is called Bakery 4. Their quality of pastries will make you a believer. There's no skimping on butter which is a requirement for French styled pastries. I bought 4 items, all were excellent. The only problem here is you need to get there early. They're only open for 2 hours, and usually sold out in the first hour. Another indication of the their quality. One morning I bought the pain au chocolat, lemon cruffin, vanilla spandauer, and morning bun and I had to stop myself from buying more because everything on their counter looked appealing. All of the pastries were fresh, flaky, and buttery, and the fillings were added the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor. If I had to choose a favorite I think it was the lemon cruffin - a croissant shaped like a muffin and filled with lemon curd - but all of them were 5 star worthy. The blueberry pop tart, we all agree, is what pop tarts ought to be. The garlic knot a savory treat unique to Bakery four. The standard croissant is the right ratio of flaky and buttery (and huge). The chocolate croissant generated a lot of oohs and mmmms. The service is cheerful and efficient-- and hard working. And I just discovered today their olives. So much flavor and very addicting.
