What an experience…read more After staying in South Beach we decided to stay here. After getting dropped off checking in was super easy. Sebastian was our guy. He sat us down were given drinks and explained everything to us. We ended up getting upgraded to the 19th floor. I love that they have someone push the elevators for you and each elevator is specific so you don't have to wait much. Our room was amazing, spacious, stocked with all the goodies/amenities, and comfortable. I love that it had a walk in closet with a mirror. The bathroom had a large tub, seperate rooms for toilet for privacy, and large shower. There were separate his and her vanities with sinks. I also appreciate the makeup mirror and dyson hair dryer. The room was huge and bed was super comfy. I love the electronic drape curtains and balcony. Balcony view was insane overlooking the pool and beach. I love that there was a table and two super large comfy lounge chairs out there. There were two pools which had one that was adult only and one that allowed children. We spent two days at the adult only pool which included towel service. It was relaxing and beautiful. They have comfy lounge chairs which overlooks the pool and or the beach area. Service was topnotch everywhere. We did use the rolls royce courtesy drive. We ate breakfast there one of the days and their brunch buffet was quite good. We also enjoyed their bar on one night that had a nice vibe to it. In the lobby you can find a gelato stand where you can even sample different gelatos. We also had butler service but we didn't really use it. I honestly had the best time at this St. Regis location. The spot isn't super big but it had everything. I cannot wait to be back.

If you like luxury with the best service you have experienced then stay here. The staff treated us like family and seriously have never had better service. Our room was beautiful and quiet. We had a Rolls Royce car that is owned by hotel drive us to amazing dinners and fancy shopping across the street!! Beach is beautiful. Our stay came with chairs and the staff on beach was super accommodating! We had breakfast included with our package. The Greek themed on site restaurant had the best breakfast buffet! Beautiful pools. One is a child friendly pool and one is adults only. The spa is very nice as well! We loved the complementary champagne sabering each day at 6pm. We came for my husbands birthday and we both loved it! So many amazing restaurants nearby. We especially loved the Surf Club and Carbonne both need reservations early. Loved our patio overlooking the ocean!

Came here for our first trip with our 7-month-old and this did not feel like a 5-star experience,…read moreespecially at $1,400+ per night. We did get upgraded from an ocean view room to a coastline view suite and appreciated being able to choose between the two at check-in. Even with the upgrade, the stay didn't live up to expectations. The biggest issue is that the property feels dated and poorly maintained. In our room alone there was peeling laminate in the bathroom, likely from the tub faucet spraying toward the window, a shower that never got hot enough, and on our last day the closet door handle literally fell off. Not what you expect at this price point. Service was inconsistent. We walked into our room at one point and found housekeeping sitting on the couch. Valet was also frustrating since the parking attendant couldn't clearly direct us to visitor parking, so we ended up paying for valet every day. The hair dryer was low quality with only one heat setting. I use a salon-quality dryer at home, but even compared to some 4-star hotels this felt like a downgrade. Small detail, but it adds up. Food was mediocre and overpriced. A $22 piña colada mocktail was basically a slushy. Nothing we had stood out in a good way. The pool area is smaller than expected and not particularly nice for a resort like this. We were expecting more, whether that meant a larger pool, a second pool, or something more elevated. The beach was the highlight. Chairs and umbrellas were included in the resort fee and the staff there were genuinely warm and attentive. There was also noticeable construction noise and sound from the nearby bridge, which took away from the overall experience. The blackout curtains didn't fully close, which made it harder to get good sleep with a baby, and the balcony furniture felt minimal. Overall, this felt like fake luxury. The branding is there, but the experience doesn't match. Not worth the price and we would not stay here again.

The hotel itself is okay, the amenities are pretty underwhelming, they have one pool which is open to everyone (ie kids included) the beach setup is probably the only decent amenity. Where they have lounge chairs and umbrellas and full service for their drinks and food from their kitchen. We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite, in our room was amazing! We had beautiful Florida ceiling views of the harbor and bridge. We enjoyed Boat watching in the evenings. I really love the room so much, we are only here for two nights but you could stay comfortably in this room for a month if you could! And I have full kitchen, living room, desk, separate bedroom, and two bathrooms!

The room was a suite with 2 bathrooms and ocean and pool views. The 2 main pools.were on the first floor for the family section and had this beautiful garden. Out by the beach we had umbrellas and chairs and of course food and drink service. We went upstairs to the adult pool. The rooftop views alone were breath taking and there was a bar and whole seating and vibe area just to hang out. You go up some stairs and this is where all the adults come to relax and play. We had our own private shaded cabana. The service was immaculate and drinks and food were served quickly. We had a cheese pizza which was outstanding and an order of guacamole and chips..absolutely delicious and my favorite snack. I can go on and on about this hotel. So beautiful, clean, many restaurant options outside and just a pure relaxing and pleasureful hotel. Definite must stay again.

Very disappointing experience -- poor communication and multiple room issues…read more Unfortunately, my experience at Grand Beach Hotel Surfside was extremely disappointing. My flight to Miami was cancelled, which was completely outside of my control, and I was unable to arrive for my first night. I contacted the hotel in advance to explain the situation and requested that the unused night be refunded. Despite reaching out by email and following up, I received no response for an extended period of time. I ultimately had to track down another contact at the hotel just to try to get someone to address the issue. When I finally arrived, there were additional problems with the room. The air conditioning was not functioning properly. The room was around 72°F even though the thermostat was set to 68°F, and the temperature initially only dropped to 71°F. While the AC eventually appeared to improve, this was another issue I had to deal with during my stay. I was also placed in a room where loud maintenance noise could be clearly heard from inside the room. This was particularly frustrating when staying at a hotel where guests reasonably expect to be able to relax and sleep without being subjected to ongoing maintenance noise. What made the experience worse was the lack of communication. I should not have had to repeatedly chase the hotel for a response regarding a legitimate issue, particularly when the circumstances surrounding my missed first night were beyond my control. Overall, between the lack of responsiveness, the AC issue, and being placed in a room with disruptive maintenance noise, this was not the experience I expected from the hotel. I would strongly recommend that management improve both its communication with guests and its handling of room and maintenance issues.
