Great location. Nice amenities. I would have liked the rooms to have had ceiling fans. In the guest bedroom there is no closet. Where the dresser stands should have been an armoire where you can hang things and have drawers. Lighting inside the rooms is dark at night. Needs brighter lighting. Everything was easily accessible. This is my 4th or 5th visit over many years. This time is my visit to Miami and stay two nights here. The next door building that collapsed is clean and removes to foundation. This building now has clear view to the beach. The parking is valet. You have to paid a fee for unlimited withdraw your car. The facility has swimming pool and hot tub. This facility locate on the sun deck. The sun deck also has furniture for sun bathing. The lower part of the building has sand volleyball court, BBQ station, hammock and more. The ground floor building has exercise room. The facility has direct access to the beach. They also can provide two beach chairs and a table. read more

The bad...ended up in an ADA room. Keeping the water from pooling by the toilet was a constant struggle. Fire alarms were being tested the next to last day. ALL. DAY. Awful but a smidge out of their control. Only 1 elevator working, glitching the entire week and on the last day it stopped working. Had to carry luggage down 6 flights. Parking our car was $35 a day, ouch. Now for the good things... volleyball court, hammocks, direct access to beach with chairs and umbrellas, coffee machine until 11am and great members activities. read more

There were too many false promises, hudden fees, and rude customer service. When we first did the tour (before signing the contract), it was amazing and went downhill from there. Ended up hiring Lonestar transfer to get us out of the contract. It cost $4,600 but was well worth it, and it never went on to our credit. read more

Nice, little Bluegreen property with the friendliest staff. My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and , for the most part, we were pleased with our stay. We did have a hard time finding this property at first since the sign is so small in comparison to the building. So keep your eyes peeled because you can easily pass them up in a blink of an eye! There is no self parking here, only valet which is $7 /day (for owners)with in/out priviledges. Check in was a breeze and our room was ready upon arrival. We had a one bedroom with a full kitchen(appliances and utensils even provided) . It was more than enough room for 2 people and could've easily fit 4 people since the couch was a pull out sofa. The bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries and towels, definitely way more than 2 people would need for a weekend. The bonus part of this property is that they are literally located less than 2 minutes from the beach. Unfortunately, my husband and I aren't really beach folks so we didn't really take advantage of the amenities that came with staying here such as complimentary beach towels and beach chairs. If the beach isn't your thing, they also have a pool and Jacuzzi on site. As well as a fitness center. This property is fairly quiet and there are not any businesses in close proximity. On our first night, we walked around exploring but it took us several blocks before we found a strip of restaurants and businesses including a Publix. I would recommend bringing food beforehand to store in the kitchen to save the hassle of figuring out what to eat for every meal(and having to drive). The front desk did save us one night when we were too tired to leave (after being out walking around all day) for dinner and provided some delivery menus for us to order from. I will say that the elevator is the slowest so skip it and take the stairs. Also, give valet a call for your car before heading downstairs so they get a quick heads up. Overall, great stay but next time we stay here, I'll plan accordingly and pack food/snacks to bring. read more

Another great Bluegreen Hotel and property. Spent my honeymoon here and really thankful my wife decided to get this time share. Just like my Vegas review, I love the savings by staying at this hotel but utilizing the kitchen and washer/dry. Never had a chance to use the BBQ but did enjoy the pool and really small gym. The two things I did not like is the mandatory parking garage fee and the upgrade meeting they get you to go to for some free perks, in our case a free everglade adventure. Not too close to South Beach but the beach line in front of the property was tranquil and a refreshing treat. We stayed in the one bedroom rooms, very spacious and very clean. Front desk staff and parking valet very professional and costumer oriented. read more

Not the best Bluegreen property we've been to, but certainly not the worst. We went with a 1 bedroom with full kitchen, and we ended up with a corner room that's very light and airy. The pool/hot tub area is very clean, although busier in the evenings. The walk to the beach was MAYBE two minutes long. The staff has been very friendly and pleasant and we're really enjoying our time here. read more

I'm a Bluegreen Owner. My husband and I stayed at this Resort in July 2012. We stayed here for 4 days, after honeymooning in St. Lucia. I thought the hotel was well maintained, and was very close to the beach. When we stayed there there were not a lot of places in walking distance, which was unfortunate. Next time I stay at this resort I will definitely be renting a car. The hotel is location in a good location and is quiet. The beach was nice, and there was a local restaurant you could place lunch orders with. There were also a lot of food places that delivered to our hotel. If every traveling to Miami again the future, we will stay here again as I am a Bluegreen owner. read more

The hotel is older but recently renovated and well maintained. We had a Bluegreen issue about this hotel cancelling my reservation a few weeks before our vacation. A few days later I found out that there was last minute available reservations on the website (for the same room we were cancelled)...I booked it immediately and the "cancelled reservation" issue was solved on my end. I just had to reserve another room reservation. Other than that major snag we enjoyed the room. The room we had 604 did have some issues with the AC (it was not cold in the bedroom; however cold in the living room). This didn't bother us very much til the end of the stay. We reported it so hopefully the next person would not experience the issue. The hotel staff was amazing and very friendly. The valet is very prompt and courteous. read more

Very clean resort. Being new owners, we weren't sure what to expect. Pros: very short walk to the beach with a gentleman sitting out by the chairs and umbrellas to check them out, 4 barbecues on site, volleyball net, hammocks, hot tub and pool. We didn't see the inside of the fitness area, but looking in, it seemed decent. We had the king deluxe with one bedroom, which, was plenty for the 2 of us with a balcony. It wasn't beach side, but we could still see the water. The room was super clean all the way to the dresser drawers being wiped out, kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked. Cons: The elevator in the lobby was down for 6 1/2 of the 7 days we were there, not a huge problem, but did make it a little inconvenient for when we brought groceries back. As for the presentation that you have to sit through the morning after check in, PLEASE when your owners say they don't want to upgrade their package the first time, PLEASE listen to them and don't keep trying to pressure them into it an additional 3 times. Valet parking is mandatory ($9/day for owners), which is not disclosed as a reminder when the room is booked over the phone, only in the confirmation email. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. It's not far from South Beach, but far enough for some quiet time if you're looking to relax. Counting down the time for the Keys!! read more

Awesome Bluegreen Property! It is located roughly 5 miles from South Beach and it is located right on the beach. You can walk right out and is less than 2 minutes. They also have a beach attendant who will set up chairs and umbrellas for you. He arrives at 10 and stays out there until 5 pm. I stayed in the 2 bedroom with full kitchen and it was huge with beautiful ocean views. It also had 2 big balconies. The second bedroom had 2 queen size beds. The decor is really funny and will remind you of old school Miami. This property was very clean and the staff very nice--very typical of Bluegreen properties. They only have valet parking and it is a mandatory fee of 14.00 for guests or 7.00 for owners per day. They have a pool/ hot tub and a lot of activities going on. Great place to stay and still close to South Beach. read more

Welcome to the flower power era.. Don't get me wrong, I like this place but we got a kicked out of the decor. Its just a walk away from the beach. There's a nice pool and covered seating for bbq enthusiast. We wanted a room with full kitchen since we're spending an entire week in Miami, we might as well cook at times. The room was clean and big and standing at the balcony, we can see the water. There are rooms with the beach view. The hotel is nicely situated to drive around anywhere. read more

Nice property for Bluegreen. Solid *** Did notice some brown rust on the hot tub. Maybe mold. Left notice of the hot tub on a comment card. The manager called me 4 times at home until he made contact about the issue. Location is great. Nice Balcony. The beach is a 2 min walk. No bar and not much of a lobby. They could use a service elevator so you don't get knocked over by Maid carts. Front desk and concierge were ok but not great. Still I would go back in a heartbeat. read more

We had a great time!! Very clean and spacious condos. We stayed in a one bedroom unit with a partial view of the ocean and it was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the valet parking, although they charge you $5 a day. It was worth it to not have to find a parking spot and then carry all of your things from the garage to your room. It's very convenient. The location was perfect. We were close enough to South Beach and Miami to take the short drive there, but stayed in a nice, quiet part of North Beach. There is a Publix a couple of blocks away and is perfect for grabbing some snacks and drinks. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but we figured since we were staying right on the beach, why bother? The beach was very clean and the staff, again, was very helpful and friendly. As soon as we arrived we were given beach chairs and cushions, along with a small table. Superb service! Overall our experience here was excellent. We will definitely come back!! read more

This is our second trip to Solara Surfside. The staff the second time are many of the same who were here when we made our first trip two years ago. The staff are very friendly and helpful and make us feel right at home. The property has been newly renovated and is extremely nice. We got the 2-bedroom ocean view this time, and the view from the living room windows and balcony are gorgeous! A beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean, coconut palm trees, and lots of other foliage the names of which I don't know make for a great environment for a vacation. As part of the package, we get an umbrella and up to four lounge chairs right on the beach. The beach is clean and the water is amazingly clear - emerald green at the shore and you can actually see your feet in the water. Beautiful resort area with plenty to do in the Miami Beach and Miami area! I would definitely recommend to others! read more

The customer service at this place is terrible! I came here with another couple (owners) to check out the property as we are looking for another vacation spot purchase. We were told that the ocean view with balcony that was on our reservation was unavailable! Keep in mind we have called and confirmed this reservation on a monthly basis so that we wouldnt have this issue! We were given the run-around by management and then placed in a small room on the side. The bathroom is small, no view, no balcony! They basically told my friend and owner that he out of luck and to deal with it. The fire alarm woke us up at 3am and 4am continuously. The bathroom lock is broken and the front desk said they didnt have anyone on site to repair it! So far after the second day we are NOT happy with this place! Needless to say I'm NOT bumying from here!!! read more

Our stay here was great! Mike at the front desk made sure we had a room with a great view and was there to accommodate. Upon check in the Bluegreens lady tried to sell us stuff, being that we are sample members we've already went through all the tours and papers. I said "we don't want to sit down for anything and we don't want you to try to sell us an packages. We just want to enjoy our stay unbothered." She said okay and gave us our bracelets. Only reason why I am giving 4 and not 5 stars is because after arriving on a 9am flight and then being out in the sun all day you could imagine how tired we were. The lady that we spoke to called us the following morning at 8am!!! On a sunday! On a vacation in Miami. After telling her we didn't want anything. And then seriously asked "oh did I wake you". I get it I'm sure she makes commission but after explicitly telling her we didn't want to be bothered I think that was outright disrespectful of her. read more

My husband and I were here May 21-25. They have just finished remodeling and the upgrades were worth the wait. Our room was spacious and comfortable only drawback, no washers/dryers in the rooms. Only a common laundry area. Although we didn't use the pool or hot tub, they were always full. The beach is GORGEOUS. It is just past the patio/bbq area and volleyball pit. They will set up pool chairs out on the beach for you. We also did not use the fitness room. It is small, but seems to have the equipment needed for a good workout. We took a peek at the Social Room..it has TVs, a foosball game, arts and craft stuff and 2 computer PCs. This looks like it's geared more for kids. Staff was wonderful from the moment we pulled up. Our valet, Carlos, was jolly on the spot offering to help unload. Valet IS mandatory ($7.00 per day for BG owners) and is 24 hrs. If you call down ahead of time they will have your car waiting for you. Ruben, another valet, was also very helpful, but there were a couple of times he had to be called back to the valet area. Junior checked us in and he was very courteous and knowledgeable. Donna, the BG marketing rep was wonderful. The marketing dept was off for the holiday weekend so there was no "mandatory owner update". She offered to spend an hour with us just to give the basics, but didn't put any pressure on us. We told her we were in town to see some property and our real estate person flaked out. She was very helpful and gave us the name of a new one. She followed up with us over the next couple of days, which she didn't have to do. The only issues we had, if they can be called such (1) the elevator is small and slow. During busy times you may want to take the stairs...it might be quicker. (2) we noticed some scratches on our car when it was brought out. Nothing major but we did notice white scratches on our black car. And (3) the cleaning staff were really loud as they cleaned the rooms around us. The TVs were on, they had music going and because it was so loud, they were literally shouting back and forth to each other. On day 2 of our stay, I got up (at 8:03am), went next door and told them we were still sleep and they were too loud. The cleaning lady turned everything down, was very apologetic and there were no more issues. read more

Rooms are very nice we had a 2 bedroom corner ocean view, beach was great property is located right on the beach. They specifically have a table and 6 chairs reserved for each guest very nice on the beach no hassle of saving a place on the beach. Totally need to try this place out we shall return read more

Had a wonderful experience! The amazing customer service more than made up for some dated decor. We stayed in a multiple bedroom suite with multiple rooms and a kitchen. This would be a great place for families as the rooms are very spacious, and using the kitchen and outdoor grills would make a vacation here very budget friendly! What a disappointment! This place is equivalent to a Holiday Inn, with a TINY pool and hot tub which we couldn't even get into because the hot tub was packed with 10 people. There's no breakfast or dining on site, and there's nothing walkable. I thought we were getting an ocean front room, but turns out it's only an ocean view, which you have to stick your head out the window to see. Your actual view is of the building right next to you. Staff were friendly, but every request we had was turned down. It didn't feel like they were concerned with making sure owners/guests left happy. I thought it was funny they offer coffee and cookies for one hour twice per week, and the sign says "limit 2 cookies per person." SO CHEAP! I will never come back here, and I will never visit a bluegreen property again. Speaking of which, Bluegreen sales tactics are the worst! Old school, high pressure gimmicks, rather than just being real and authentic. When i told my sales person how i prefer to travel "off the beaten path" rather than at big resorts, she tried to sell me an ownership package based on the world "being a scary place" and I should really stick to resorts.
