I solicited repairs late on Friday and had an appointments scheduled for Monday within minutes. Glenn arrived on schedule with a prior courtesy call as promised. After conversation on the problems at hand and Glenn's recommendations the final plan was initiated. Our doors are seventeen years old. The springs on were badly worn (as it turned one pulley bracket was broken and it was just a matter of when) and the other door has had balance problems from when it was painted shut thirteen years ago. I decided to refurbish both doors and Glenn installed quality parts and gladly answered my questions as he worked. The safety cables inside the springs are a welcome modernization. Glenn meticulously installed new springs, pulleys, cables and weather stripping on both doors, lubricated and balanced and adjusted both doors in less than two hours. He even made a trip back to the shop and returned so as to install a better weather stripping to help with each door alignment. Glenn kept at it until we were both happy with final realignment. Had a garage door problem that I tried a DIY on but that did not work. I did a Google search for door repair companies and Balanced Garage Doors was highly rated. It was easy to arrange a visit using their WEB site and I did so. They responded within a short time and gave me the time and name of the technician's visit. The technician, Josh, arrived well within the time stated. He assessed the problem and gave us three options for the fix. Immediate, intermediate and long term. No hard sell on any of the options! He carefully explained what the results of each option would produce. Since the openers were 14 years old we chose to replace both openers even though we were only having problems with one of them. Josh and then with help from Jeff did a very professional job of replacing our entire 14 year old system. We now have a system that is very quiet and has many features that that were not available on the old system such as WIFI control. I had been having an issue with my garage door for several months. It sounded like it would come off of the rollers whenever I opened it. I checked the roller tracks to see if I could find something they were catching on but had no success. I called Balanced Garage Doors to come out for an inspection and repair. When the technician, Dylan, arrived, he stood in front of the door as I pushed the button for it to open. Before the door was even fully raised, he knew what the issue was - the rubber weather stripping on the outside was worn and sticking to the door when it would try to raise. Dylan didn't have the replacement parts with him on the first visit. But he told me of a temporary fix I could do myself and said it may last a long time or need to be repeated periodically. But I asked the price for replacement and it was so reasonable I asked him to go ahead and get the parts. We had Balanced Garage Doors come out to look at repairing a dent in our garage door, but wound up deciding not to pursue that. We did, however, ask them to replace the weatherstripping on the bottom and both sides of the door. The technician, Dylan Gibeau, was knowledgeable, experienced, very professional, as well as friendly. The job was performed efficiently and to our complete satisfaction. We asked him while he was here, to service the overhead system. He examined it, made a few tweaks, and told us it was already in tip-top shape so he did not charge anything for that. One of my springs had snapped on my garage door. Josh B. came out and gave me three options for getting just the spring fixed or adding some other things in as well. Since my garage door hadn't been serviced in while, it did need some other upgrades and the prices offered were all well within a reasonable range for those kinds of repairs.
