First of all, it was not time for an evaluation, and you had decided before the visit that it was going to be my last one, and neither you nor Annette told me before the appointment. I should have had the option to decide whether or not I wanted to take part in a sham evaluation that seemed designed to cover up that Annette's advice had injured me.  I should have been able to decide whether I wanted to take part in an evaluation that would not benefit me at all when I was there to actually receive treatment.  The pretext you decided to use to disrupt my medical treatment was that I was not willing to do exercises. I guess it's fun to ignore that I was injured by the foam roller exercises that Annette gave me and had to work hard to decompress my spine.  Myofascial release and stretching are as important as exercises. Just giving someone exercises is a recipe for injury.  I said that I was willing to do exercises. I simply wanted to not be injured, and to receive treatment. Though it was very scary to have my back pinching for the first time in my life, and very uncomfortable to have pain in my cervical spine from the compression, the upside is that the kyphosis is correcting. The downside is that as my spine straightened I started to feel pain in my sternum from the pulling. Apparently I was just supposed to put up with your therapists' haphazardly treating me without dealing with my actual body in real time as it changed from the treatment, and get injured.  It seems like you failed to injure me significantly or trigger me into leaving, I expect you to actually treat my body, and so you decided to deny me service. It seems like there is some quality of mine that makes you think it is acceptable to discriminate against me.  It seems like it is regular business practice for you to trigger people to opt out or to not treat them. So, now I have to report your business to my insurance company. I also have to report Claire and Annette for their bizarre and unprofessional behavior.  I'm guessing that the business owners rubber stamp your unethical spinning and justification of refusing patients service (since you said you have been there for 12 years and had no problem looking me in the face and discriminating against me and inventing pretexts), but I will report you to them. Please ensure that both Claire and Annette know that I was actually there to be treated and didn't have any intention of being triggered or injured, and I will be reporting them. In case you were misleading them, they should have the chance to actually treat me.  If they have been entrapped, I am not the one entrapping people. I just want to be functional and pain-free. Only downside is it can take over a year to get in with them. I think we waited 14 months on the waiting list. I am not deducting any stars because that is how many OT places are. I work out regularly and tried everything I knew to resolve the issues, but it had started to negatively affect my new job. From the first appointment, I could tell I was in the right hands. Ted assessed my body and found the reasons for my pain. We started treatment and exercises almost immediately and I felt marked improvement after every visit. After 8 weeks, my pain was completely gone and I'm still going the exercises I was given. I was released from the program but with an open door, I can always go back for a tune-up. This place is amazing! They treat every level of ability including professional athletes to the elderly with care and attention. I ONLY recommend this place for physical therapy in NM!

I was seen for a hip impingement and possible labral tear - I've been dealing with this for years from dancing, and the pain finally got so bad that I couldn't even do everyday activities. I was already scheduled for hip surgery and decided to do physical therapy as a Hail Mary effort to relieve my pain, or at the very least strengthen the surrounding muscles and make surgery recovery easier. My doctor referred me to E6 specifically for dry needling as he said athletes respond to it very well. Ted spent time listening to my concerns, pain levels, and pain when doing different activities in order to understand the severity of the injury. When completing assessments to determine where we would dry needle each week, I was amazed to learn that the significant pain and tightness I felt with just a slight touch around my back, hips, and thighs was actually not normal! I had felt that way for YEARS, and figured everyone else felt the same way too! We had 5 dry needling sessions combined with physical therapy over a 12-week span, and in that time I went from not being able to walk, sit, or do other daily activities without pain to being virtually pain free. I could actually feel the improvements after each session. I now have full range of motion back in my hip, increased strength, and I was even able to cancel my hip surgery! The most exciting part for me is that I can finally dance again after 5-6 years of not being able to due to hip pain and instability. I can go on daily walks now as well - this may seem trivial to some, but for someone who couldn't walk more than 5 minutes without being in excruciating pain it's a miracle! I'm so thankful for the help and compassion that Ted and everyone at E6 showed during my treatment. At 30 years old the last thing I should be worrying about is hip surgery, and thanks to Ted and his team I'm now able to live the active lifestyle that I missed out on for so long due to my injury. My injury took a piece of my identity when I couldn't dance anymore, and it's been so emotionally and physically fulfilling to be able to do what I love again. I wouldn't go anywhere else for physical therapy or dry needling - E6 really is the best!

It probably is as good as it gets…read more I recently stayed 15 days after brain surgery to remove a tumor. The therapists were all excellent (save one who made me nervous and uncomfortable). When I couldn't see well enough to read, one of them just brought me a pair of reading glasses. That's what they are like, encouraging, competent, caring. The nurses, and other staff, were also excellent. I did not see very much of the doctor, but I'm not sure what the doctor does exactly, except perhaps oversight in ways the patients do not see. Most of these places have shared rooms. This is really the worst part in my opinion, because it's so loud, families and staff coming and going at all hours, and you're often being woken up. Having a TV on with patients that have brain injuries is a nightmare, it feels like it's drilling right into your skull. it's But as a shared room, I think a big effort was put in to make it as separate as possible, and it's large and pleasant. My roommate went code blue in the middle of the night, and I don't know what happened to her. I had two ER visits at UNM myself when I was there, they are near to each other and somehow related, they were suggested to me by UNM after I had my surgery there. I don't think this is par for the course though, we were in the brain injury unit. I would have stayed longer if I could, perhaps until I was off some of the more difficult prescriptions. Having three and a half hours of therapy, and structured care was a godsend after the surgery, when I couldn't think clearly. The billing department may need a little help. I just got a letter saying they disallowed the whole amount (59K, !!!!!) because the wrong billing code was used. So I have to work that out. I thought the food was okay. I have lower expectations, and maybe more appreciation, for Lovelace, since my mother stayed about a month at Kindred last year. My mother couldn't wait to leave Kindred, so that's about the measure of the difference.

Dr. Dickie is a pill pusher. My brother is there recovering from a TBI, after being there for 30…read moredays he has become depressed due to minimal socialization. The doctor was pushing anti-depressants when he knows our end goal is to have him off medication. My mom is the power of attorney and told the doctor absolutely not to the medication he was pushing on my brother. After my mom left, he went back into the room to convince my brother to get on a low dose. Disgusting!! All they want is money by putting you on medication that creates more side effects for more money. I will definitely be reporting this doctor and do not reccommend this place. After 30 days of being there my brother has had very little improvements.

I was taken care of by Jack (DPT) and Holly (PTA) and I really appreciated their professionalism, their genuine interest in helping you get better in the areas you needed help...and simply their honesty and kindness to understand some of the issues I faced. I spent probably 1.5 months with the staff here doing some exercises at the location + take home exercises on my own as well and thought they were, for once, not too bad for a couch potato like me. But like I said, what I appreciated more was that they listened. I raised potential concerns that I had and talked about one specific symptom on one of my follow up appointments that seemed like it wouldn't so much be physical but may be a bit more neurology related and they honestly told me their capabilities and their thought on potential next steps that I might need to explore (since it might not be something that physical therapy that they could help with). Thank you for your help and honesty. If I ever had any physical therapy/rehabilitation needs, I would wholeheartedly be happy to take a visit at this place again!
