We were in the car driving because we live 40+ minutes away. The remaining appointments were silently cancelled shortly after. The office did not bother to call us, we called them before our scheduled appointment to verify. No one answered so we left a message. Our call was not returned. We called another location that didn't offer OT, and they are the ones that told us all our appointments had been cancelled. Without commenting on Maggie's competency, we find the treatment we were given by the front office utterly unacceptable.

First of all, it was not time for an evaluation, and you had decided before the visit that it was going to be my last one, and neither you nor Annette told me before the appointment. I should have had the option to decide whether or not I wanted to take part in a sham evaluation that seemed designed to cover up that Annette's advice had injured me.  I should have been able to decide whether I wanted to take part in an evaluation that would not benefit me at all when I was there to actually receive treatment.  The pretext you decided to use to disrupt my medical treatment was that I was not willing to do exercises. I guess it's fun to ignore that I was injured by the foam roller exercises that Annette gave me and had to work hard to decompress my spine.  Myofascial release and stretching are as important as exercises. Just giving someone exercises is a recipe for injury.  I said that I was willing to do exercises. I simply wanted to not be injured, and to receive treatment. Though it was very scary to have my back pinching for the first time in my life, and very uncomfortable to have pain in my cervical spine from the compression, the upside is that the kyphosis is correcting. The downside is that as my spine straightened I started to feel pain in my sternum from the pulling. Apparently I was just supposed to put up with your therapists' haphazardly treating me without dealing with my actual body in real time as it changed from the treatment, and get injured.  It seems like you failed to injure me significantly or trigger me into leaving, I expect you to actually treat my body, and so you decided to deny me service. It seems like there is some quality of mine that makes you think it is acceptable to discriminate against me.  It seems like it is regular business practice for you to trigger people to opt out or to not treat them. So, now I have to report your business to my insurance company. I also have to report Claire and Annette for their bizarre and unprofessional behavior.  I'm guessing that the business owners rubber stamp your unethical spinning and justification of refusing patients service (since you said you have been there for 12 years and had no problem looking me in the face and discriminating against me and inventing pretexts), but I will report you to them. Please ensure that both Claire and Annette know that I was actually there to be treated and didn't have any intention of being triggered or injured, and I will be reporting them. In case you were misleading them, they should have the chance to actually treat me.  If they have been entrapped, I am not the one entrapping people. I just want to be functional and pain-free. The staff are kind and attentive. Everyone there genuinely wants to see the patients thrive and reach goals. We have had two different therapists and they are all great. They have even helped us with her school IEP on what she needs to help her during school hours. They are always willing to talk to the teachers. Only downside is it can take over a year to get in with them. I think we waited 14 months on the waiting list. I am not deducting any stars because that is how many OT places are. Just really long wait times. My daughter was on 3 different waiting lists and we figured we would take the first that could get her in, but ExplorAbilities was our top choice. I work out regularly and tried everything I knew to resolve the issues, but it had started to negatively affect my new job. From the first appointment, I could tell I was in the right hands. Ted assessed my body and found the reasons for my pain. We started treatment and exercises almost immediately and I felt marked improvement after every visit. After 8 weeks, my pain was completely gone and I'm still going the exercises I was given. I was released from the program but with an open door, I can always go back for a tune-up. I was seen for a hip impingement and possible labral tear - I've been dealing with this for years from dancing, and the pain finally got so bad that I couldn't even do everyday activities. I was already scheduled for hip surgery and decided to do physical therapy as a Hail Mary effort to relieve my pain, or at the very least strengthen the surrounding muscles and make surgery recovery easier. My doctor referred me to E6 specifically for dry needling as he said athletes respond to it very well. Ted spent time listening to my concerns, pain levels, and pain when doing different activities in order to understand the severity of the injury. When completing assessments to determine where we would dry needle each week, I was amazed to learn that the significant pain and tightness I felt with just a slight touch around my back, hips, and thighs was actually not normal! I had felt that way for YEARS, and figured everyone else felt the same way too! We had 5 dry needling sessions combined with physical therapy over a 12-week span, and in that time I went from not being able to walk, sit, or do other daily activities without pain to being virtually pain free. I could actually feel the improvements after each session. I now have full range of motion back in my hip, increased strength, and I was even able to cancel my hip surgery! The most exciting part for me is that I can finally dance again after 5-6 years of not being able to due to hip pain and instability. I can go on daily walks now as well - this may seem trivial to some, but for someone who couldn't walk more than 5 minutes without being in excruciating pain it's a miracle! I'm so thankful for the help and compassion that Ted and everyone at E6 showed during my treatment. At 30 years old the last thing I should be worrying about is hip surgery, and thanks to Ted and his team I'm now able to live the active lifestyle that I missed out on for so long due to my injury. My injury took a piece of my identity when I couldn't dance anymore, and it's been so emotionally and physically fulfilling to be able to do what I love again.
