I loved the vibe and look of the Bayalage Boutique the second I walked in. The receptionist was super friendly and helped me right away, putting me in a chair [and offering me a beverage], and Camille was already heading in my direction. Gotta love swift service! I had a lovely little mimosa, which was a nice surprise, and it was super tasty! My hairdresser was Camille. Camille is super friendly, a fun conversationalist, an extremely talented hairdresser, and overall a wonderful person! I am so happy I decided to give her a try when I needed a new stylist. Camille did my hair EXACTLY how I wanted, and to top it off, she gives a killer head massage after washing your hair. Sooooo relaxing and lovely, and not the super short little head rub that leaves you wanting more. On top of giving me perfect highlights, Camille gave me a haircut that kept the length like I wanted, but framed my face a bit and got rid of my split ends. I'm extremely pleased with how the haircut turned out! I am just so satisfied with my hair. I walked into the salon in a cranky, PMSey mood, and left on cloud nine with a smile on my face. She has a new regular customer in me! One thing I noticed was that every one of their customers who came in while I was there absolutely adored the ladies here. That's always a great sign when trying out a new business! There was a ton of laughing and giggling and salon gossip that I enjoyed eavesdropping on lol. They are a little pricey, but some things are worth paying a little extra for, and I would rather pay a little more once, than pay less and have to pay more after to fix a cheap hair job! I have no words for their bad service, I wanted to have balayage what they did to my hair first orange from top green from ends when I asked to fix it they turn my hair dark and still when I wasn't got the real result they told me that this salon isn't for me thats how they treated me , they don't even know anything close to balayage, I ended up paying double and get my hair fixed from another wonderful salon , so so disappointed waist of money and time I would rate them 0 short story I went there for balayage and ended up having chunky two tone highlights yes I wanted to love it out of courtesy when they asked I said yes I love it but when I came home I saw it was not even close to balayage and wanted to get fixed they turned it dark lost all dimensions oh my God who would call that real balayage, end of story I have two tone chunky bleached balayage, never ever recommend this place . read more

This is a longggg overdue updated review! Since I started coming to the salon over two years ago, my original stylist left so I started seeing Andrea. While my original stylist was great, Andrea is a magician she does an incredible job taking my dark brown hair to a beautiful blonde balayage. Recently I decided to explore extensions. I wasn't sure if I was ready to commit so she recommended a halo to see how I like it and I ended up wearing it every single time I left my house. From there I decided to commit to the hand tied extensions. Andrea and her team went above and beyond to ensure I got the perfect length and she actually blended the color with my regular balayage service. I was recently on a girls trip with some new girl friends and they had no idea that I had extensions, they thought I just had really good hair. If you're considering going from dark to light or hand tied extensions don't hesitate, you've come to the right spot. I'm loving the hand tied extensions and wish I would have gotten them years ago. **I'm going to preface this by saying this has NOTHING to do with the quality of work and everything to do with bad business** This place is the worst. I get into a car accident about 45 minutes prior to my appointment and have the courtesy to call and let them know I wouldn't make it and the first thing out of their mouth is "well is the car drivable?" Not "are you okay" nothing. And then proceeds to tell me that I will have to pay the 100% cancellation fee. Because I asked to be in a car accident!!!! Then says "oh well you can come in at 3 and we won't charge you." Like I JUST got into an accident and am on the side of the road waiting on insurance and towing and they are more concerned about a cancellation fee? $300 for absolutely nothing. I even asked if they could put the $300 towards a rescheduled appointment because I NEEDED to get my hair done and was told no. I understand the cancellation policy of 48 hours and I completely understand and respect the stylist's time and had I been given ANY other choice I would have made it right. They act like I planned to get into a car accident. The behavior I experienced today was downright cold and disgusting. I should have paid attention to all of the other reviews instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Shame on yall. read more

I've been here a few times on and off in between my regular salon. They are always amazing and I get exactly what I want. This time I went in as a model for a protégé stylist but she had full support from senior staff. I ended up with the most beautiful bright blonde. At checkout there was slight confusion on quoted price but they quickly fixed the problem and only charged me what I was quoted. Customer service, talent and products are all 5 star! Found this balayage bar off of Groupon​ and I'm so pleased to have finally found such an experienced salon full of knowledgeable​ staff who don't let you leave the salon unhappy!! It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown McKinney, with plenty of parking spots right across the street. Booked an appointment through Yelp but by mistake,​ I booked it for the day after and showed up on the wrong day. The receptionist said they couldn't take us, just what we expected but the owner Andrea came in, really quick wanted to know what we wanted and was super considerate to still take care of us even after showing up on the wrong day. They have a really cute boutique inside selling clothes, jewelry​, ​and accessories for​ quite​ a​ reasonable price so must check that out as well! Holly, one of the stylists there that care of us, is THE BEST at what she does and she's the GODDESS for Balayage! The whole process took about 3.5 hours which included full balayage, conditioning, and styling. Her work is PHENOMENAL and FLAWLESS! The picture we showed her she was able to pull off that exact look. No suggestion needed, no doubts placed and no ifs & buts throughout the whole process. In conclusion, I don't need a salon in Atlanta. McKinney being my hometown, I feel like I have finally found my salon after moving away after 10 years of being here. If you're reading this, must give this place full of extremely talented hairstylists worth a try, you won't be disappointed for sure! I came here in December with dark brown hair that i had be dying a lot over the past few years but the stylist acted as though it was no big deal for the balayage i wanted. She kept going over to other stylist and leaving me there. I sat in my bleach for hours. Which was fine i expected it to be a long day once she was finally done running between me and another client. I think this is valuable information before a new client is presented with a bill double the amount of my car note. My Bellami extensions are ruined and I was still charged over $400. I would definitely not recommend. I went to them wanting subtle highlights with chocolate brown tone. The stylist, Leslie was not trained correctly in order to perform the desired hair color and haircut I requested. I had to go and get my hair fixed elsewhere. They offered to have the same hairstylist redo my hair, but why would I have her touch my hair again?! My hair was fried! They let me walk out of there with my hair looking this way. I tried calling to get ingredients of hair color used on my hair the last few times I've been in (which every customer should have the right and opportunity to obtain)... and was met with confusion, frustration and shortness. After switching my stylist without notice and my bill totaling nearly $200 (partial balayage and toner, which is a JOKE because it's incredibly brassy now and wasn't before), I expected my hair not to be ruined. After messaging the owner, she offered to fix it herself but I declined because I don't ever want to set foot in this business again (keep reading some other reviews and you'll see why).
