I did not have a good experience. Transferred here after 10 years at Osgood O'Neil in Dallas. Salon was dirty with hair everywhere on the floor and employees standing around. My stylist didn't listen to anything I said. Asked for ends to be trimmed and she took off 3 inches. Owner walked around and never acknowledged me as a new customer. After the horrible haircut I left a message for owner to call me. That never happened. Way overpriced too. I don't mind paying top dollar for great service and results. I'm just back from The Evelyn Kershaw Salon. Read my review here. Did not listen. I told him I didn't want to see a line across back. I got 2 distinct lined straight across. I showed him where I wanted front to cover. It should have been obvious when dry as I was concerned with profile and covering area of neck. My profile is awful as the area is in full view. I said something and he stated back dictated front. Well hello, client dictates front and cut back accordingly. I presented pictures and neither the front or back come close. I would never recommend this stylist. Also, during shampooing he kept slopping his wet hands on my face. Sprayed water on clothes and face. Horrible experience hairstylist Raymond that rents a space there. Raymond scammed me out of $400 and I never got hair service for it. He ask me to prepay for my upcoming appointment which never happened with him giving me the run a round. He used my credit card using venmo to get the money. He said he needed the money flying to Florida that he had gotten only checks that day before flying to Florida. He was going back and forth to Florida doing hair there as well. I showed up at 8:30 am for hair styling. My stylist curled my hair and brushed it out. She informed me it didn't look right and that she'd called someone to come in. Around 11:30 someone came in to help. I told them I hadn't planned on being there much longer and I was told that next time I need to come in sooner... I came in at 8:35 am!!! Then I get told my hair is too thick and heavy. They used heat rollers and then brush out the curls again. I left at 1:44 at which point the stylist tells me I didn't have curls in my hair and proceeded to charge me. I paid and tipped her generously but what bothers me isn't the money I had to paid for a job not done but that I was being blamed for it... I came in a week before my appointment and scheduled in person, showed what I wanted and ask if they could do it! They told me yes. It just seems really unfair that I had such a special day ruined and didn't get an apology. read more

This is the worst salon ever. They have an experienced people working on your hair who do not know what they are doing. I asked for my hair to be lightened as it was a dark brown, and my beauty advisor bleached my hair to make it orange. I went back for her to correct it, and she completely damaged my hair. Then she proceeded to cut my hair unevenly, and it looked like shit. they will take your money, even if you call and complain, and they will not return your phone call. I've had multiple bad experiences here. Will not be returning. Here are just a couple of examples: I showed up for an appointment and right when I arrived, the stylist said she couldn't take me for another hour because she was a beginner and she needed to have someone supervise her. When we finally got to the appointment, she had no idea what she was doing and the "supervisor" maybe walked by my chair twice during the 2 hours I was there. Was supposed to be a Brazilian blowout but was barely straight the next day. On another occasion, I took my 7 year old son there for a haircut. I made an appointment ahead of time for someone who was supposed to be experienced with kids. She had no idea what she was doing as it took her 2 hours to do his haircut!!! I don't think she had ever given a kid's haircut before. I then got charged full price instead of the beginner's stylist fee. Not only that, but they weren't the least bit apologetic about any of it. read more

I've come here for both haircuts and coloring and they always do a really great job. I am sorry Evelyn. I was very disappointed how the lipstick was dropping on the floor and again pick it up and put it back. It's not sanitize enough to use it on someone else. I was happy with the hairstyle but very disappointed with make up job. I understand that you guys might not have experience but after I told you guys I have no experience in make up. Doing a poor job on me doesn't mean I won't understand it. I had to go to Blush Bar beauty parlor after the mess up. They did a great job!! Because I could see the difference. I use to enjoy getting my hair done here and have been going for 5-6 years. They use to do a pretty good job and I usually like how it has been cut. But recently and multiple times, I have been charged extra for extra services without being told ahead of time. And it's very frustrating being told that it will cost a certain amount when I make my appointment and told to bring that amount in cash (to avoid the service fee) and then told at the end that I'm being charged more than double of what I was originally told, without being told that the type of color service I'm receiving is different than what I was originally told (I don't know anything about coloring hair, how should I know the difference). So I had to leave and get more cash from the bank. As well, different stylists are at different "levels" so they charge a different amount but it is not posted anywhere what their level is and I'm never told when my regular stylist moves up a level and their prices increase. I also have not being told a few times that they will be using toner and that it will be a big extra charge. The customer service has depreciated greatly and their communication is very poor. I like the girl that does my hair, but I can't keep going to a place that charges me way more than what they originally told me and isn't loyal to their loyal customers. read more

I've been going to the Evelyn Kershaw Salon for several years now because she does such a great job on my hair every time. Evelyn is awesome, hands down, and my hair color and cut always comes out perfect. I even get compliments on it when I'm out. Lately, I took my 14 year old daughter to see Priscilla for a subtle ombre look and it came out so amazingly beautiful! She got lots of compliments as well! My daughter's hair is dark brown, almost a black, and Priscilla was able to give her the caramel colored highlighting that is sometimes hard to achieve on dark hair. Evelyn's team has such a great knowledge about color and cuts, and they are always up to date with the latest products, hair styles and color. I highly recommend her salon to anyone who is in need of a great hair stylist or a great color. I know you will be happy with the results! read more

I kept getting blonder and blonder and the highlights were blending in with the color. Thank goodness my good friend recommended the Evelyn Kershaw salon where I had the wonderful experience of meeting Laurie. Laurie took the time to match my natural color exactly and chose the right highlight tones to accent. THe highlights are skillfully spread throughout my hair and look sensational! I have received so many compliments on my hair!!! Furthermore, the cut was, without exaggeration, one of the best I've ever had, as Laurie helped tweak my regular style to accent my face. Stay away from this salon!! The owner claims she is "understanding" but she is anything but. If you have a bad experience be sure that it won't be resolved unless you take more time out of you day to have her "assess" the problem. I offered to show her pictures as I don't have time to make another trip to her salon and that wasn't good enough for her. She had the nerve to tell me that if I contacted my credit card company for a refund that it's considered a theft of service! You didn't provide the service I wanted!! My stylist was really nice and did a good job blow drying my hair. However, when it came to the dying job she didn't do what I asked and it came out looking the same as when I walked in. I showed her a picture of a balayage I wanted and all she did was add a few strips of brown, under all my hair that look damaged. She said you would be able to see them in the sunlight, so I took her word for it but my hair literally looks the same. I was charged $200 for just a wash cut and blow dry, pretty much. That's ridiculous. I'm very unhappy with my experience. This salon is overpriced for the quality of service that they provide. Will not be recommending this salon to anyone read more
