Everyone is very professional and pleasant to talk to, the facility is clean and beautiful, there are TV's in each dental station where I can watch HGTV or some other show while getting work done, and there is a small play area where little ones am be entertained while I parent gets their work done too! Dr. DiStefano's staff from the front to back were wonderful. I absolutely loved Dr. DiStefano! I was having tooth pain and she not only made me feel like she cared but that she was going to get my problem taken care of. The solution was a root canal in a tooth that wasn't even hurting. I found it hard to believe but it was true! She explained why that happens and when I got that tooth taken care of...my pain was gone! She is friendly, caring and KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING! I could tell when he came into the room that he loves what he does and he really cares for his patients. I needed extensive work, and he explained everything that would happen. He constantly checked on my well-being. If I needed a break he stopped immediately which built my trust with him. His assistant (I'm so sorry I forgot her name), but she was amazing too. She was careful, thorough, and helped alleviate my anxiety. I also appreciate that I never had to wait more than 5 minutes when I had an appointment. I was there a total of 3 visits. He wanted to do so much work to my mouth that his list made my head spin. He has to be trying to drive up the office revenue listed in the books, at your oral healths expense. I go to the dentist every 6 months and prior to him taking over for Dr. Favale I didn't need any work beyond the normal cleaning. I let Dr Chung repair one tooth (that he identified as needing it) in December of '24 and now it's June of '25 and that tooth is still very sensitive. I took the list he made of the work he said I needed to another dentist, and they didn't agree with it. I am happy I listened to my inner voice and got a 2nd opinion. It is a shame what has happened to Dr. Favale's practice. Think twice before you allow Dr. Chung to dig around in your mouth. He has changed the name of the office to Clarity Dental Group, in case you missed that announcement. His chair side manner comes across very arrogant, belittling, and narcissistic if you question anything. I will never go back there again. Dr. Favale, I hope you see this and realize you could have made a better choice for your patients.

This is further proven by the fact that they were ADAMANT that I owed 600$ above my max payout of dental insurance. However, when I reminded them that I came in with a flyer that said $150 for a whole bunch of the stuff they had billed my insurance for and gotten WAY more than $150, suddenly, I was in the mid $300 owed. I reached out to my dental insurance and found out they are charging more than the norm and the insurance covers the norm. Most offices, will write off the difference knowing the higher price is ridiculous anyway. However, they seem to feel quite justified that the VIBE of the office, the little touches like pens, cookies for a company anniversary will be what keeps people coming back. This is true if you are only interested in working with the rich and fabulous. However, if you wish to work with regular people who have kids in college, mortgages to pay, and other economical needs then paying more for some silly gimmicks is marketing, not BETTER DENTAL CARE. I liked both Drs. I honestly only had negative experiences with the front desk staff. The dental care was not ANY better than I used to received at Family Dental Care in South Chicago. I honestly am upset at myself for not reading these reviews first. And yet,.. here is one more star/medal/prize: I came to Dr. Cooper for consultation about my old failing/failed implants. He took an X-Ray, then did a CT scan, shared his findings with recommendations, and gave me a referral to the oral surgeon/implantologist. How much do they usually charge you for a consultation + X-Ray + CT scan? I know the answer, been there, done that, and your answer is wrong: Dr. Cooper charged me $0,.. Nothing! Can you believe that? I don't want people to print this review and show it to him, "You charged this guy $0, and I want the same price", but I just can't help yelling from the roof of the world's tallest tower, "This Doctor/Dentist must be from another planet where humanity, kindness, compassion, and decency still exists!" And, of course, his staff is always "top notch", and I suspect that the staff usually mimic the doctor, and I learned that in my long life spanning apx. 3 generations. Online information stated that 95% of HPV cases are males. Later on the practice changed its policy so that men also have to sign. I also objected to being called in for bite wing xays. This was because I had oral surgery and had been told not to use bite wings until the wound healed. When I told Dr.Katz about my concerns regarding all this, he argued with me. The next day I was told to go somewhere else. The practice claims it strives to always do better. But as soon as I complained, I was shown the door.
