Overall, this gym has clean facilities, equipment and friendly staff. Absolutely recommend this gym. But of course we will have different opinions, we all have different likes and dislikes. You just have to find the right gym that fits you. If you like the gym and know what you're doing it doesn't matter what type of equipment they have you'll get a workout in. I'd say give fitness 19 an opportunity and if it's for you great and if it's not, it's OK just don't go based off bitter people giving bitter reviews. The convenience of this gym is awesome, you have El Pollo Loco, target, a DD's, five below, Cox, bicycle shop, Chinese food, Rose, Mexican food, chipotle, laundromat, subway, a mechanic shop, sprouts, Petco(I think it's a Petco.), and a barbershop as well as a nail salon and eyebrow threading, but obviously you would've been able to figure it out using Google. I just like really long reviews lol. Anyways, this gym is very convenient close to everything and anything you might need after or before the gym. If there's something you need you just let the staff know or if you have a comment or concern, let them know so that way they can figure out a way to improve. I feel like this gym welcomes any and all criticism either good or bad. If any bad. If by any reason, my review doesn't make sense, I'm using voice text. that's my why

I love going to LA fitness. I had a break in my membership for personal reasons and when I was…read moreready to rejoin LA fitness I gave them a call. I was connected to Anders, who is the club manager at the location on Vista in Oceanside. Anders went over all the fees and membership privileges of each. In the end of our conversation I let him know I would probably wait for one of their special promotions and thanked him. He was very nice and understanding and exhibited exceptional customer oriented skills. Anders didn't forget about me, and later called me back letting me know he and Jaylyn (whom works with him), had the promotion deal I was looking for. I was impressed with their teamwork to satisfy a potential customer. I had other questions and expectations and Anders went above and beyond for me. Thank you Anders and Jaylyn!

Ok this review is specifically for the classes included with the membership. I really enjoy…read moreMauricio's Zumba classes, but there's one ongoing issue that honestly should be addressed by the gym staff. Some members constantly save large sections of the front row for friends who don't arrive until class is about to start. Today, Friday class for example, one lady used like 8 water bottles to reserve spots for people who showed up right as class began. Meanwhile, people who actually arrived early couldn't use those spaces. It's honestly surprising to see such territorial behavior from grown women in a fitness class...embarrassing. I understand saving one spot for a friend, but this has become excessive and very territorial. The classes get packed, and some of the behavior feels less like a fitness class and more like auditions for Dancing With the Stars. We get it... everyone has their favorite spot, but don't be selfish. The class should feel welcoming and fair for everyone. I hope the gym staff will address this so all members can enjoy the classes equally. I can also see how new clients could feel discouraged from trying these classes when faced with this type of behavior.

It's actually my favorite spot for Zumba instructors and this is the main reason of my attendance. Otherwise, the gym location needs attention. Not all the TVs work around the cardio equipment, it gets hot in the group class room, the bathrooms need a full remodel with new toilets, sinks, and hand dryers. Also, why are there only two soap dispensers when there are like 5-6 sinks? People always want and need a space to het healthy so please put some effort into the space.

The San Juan Capistrano location (which is on the afternoon commute home) is much cleaner and they are installing turnstiles to prevent tailgating/theft. The Oceanside location is overcrowded compared to the San Juan Capistrano location. I see users not checking at the front and walking past the front counter when no one is there or staff is not paying attention at the Oceanside location. I have also seen members sneaking into the recovery room, which is a paid amenity in addition to standard membership. Tailgating behavior is not fair to paying members, it hurts the facility's quality and reputation. They monopolize gym equipment (that they don't want to pay to use) and what they are doing is shoplifting. Their presence creates security, liability and maintenance issues, because they don't sign waivers, and their misuse puts the safety of members at risk and causes more wear and tear. Turnstiles are sorely needed at the 24 Hour in Oceanside to improve quality for its paying gym members. Do better Oceanside!

This one is by far the best. It's well maintained and VERY clean; both out on the floor and in the locker room. The other members are well educated, friendly, and courteous when lifting weights/doing cardio's. Rarely do you hear grunts, groans and dropping weights. The front counter staff are friendly; both coming and going. The trainers are professional and know what they're doing. I like this facility. His cycling classes were a major reason I stayed: he didn't just lead spin--he coached cycling, using watts, cadence, training zones and VO max efforts to create challenging, purposeful workouts while making members feel supported and part of a community. He also held himself accountable by doing the workouts alongside us, inspiring everyone with his own training, dedication, and competition experience. Many members considered him a friend because he genuinely cared about and helped build a community around his classes. It's unfortunate that management could let the voices of a few have such a significant impact on the community and an instructor who positively affected so many others. The replacement classes have made the difference clear--it feels more like aerobics on a bike than serious cycling training. Equinox has lost an exceptional instructor and may lose members who trained around his classes. I sincerely hope management brings Zach back. For now, I can no longer recommend La Costa as a place that genuinely cares about its community.
