Very lovely and crafty... Tucked in the industrial area down Kapa'a Quarry Road is Bali Boo. I was in my way to Tradition Coffee when something just caught my eye and just one driveway down you can find this hidden shop filled with beautiful and unique furniture and decor for your personal space. Occupying quite a large space three buildings I believe some has multiple levels all filled with various of furniture and decor as I chose to walk in one of the main building there was a water feature of a Buddha which was so lovely and calming as soon as I walked I was greeted by a staff who described the layout of the buildings and that encouraged to browse around which I did. I did find quite a bit of glass art, glasses that were heated to a point t to confirm the base which is a piece of wood or drift wood which was quite stunning and would make a great statement piece from large to a single cup for $35 which would make a lovely gift. Finding this place was nice and felt like walking into an art gallery filled with various cultural pieces that was a pleasure to see. Thank you! read more

We happened to stumble across Bali Boo living while looking for another business. What a cool store! Located in the Quarry road district in Kailua. You may not know it's there, but it's been in business for 20 years and growing that they have 3 other warehouses next to each other! The main showroom has the coolest water fall outside the doors. When we walked in, we were greeted by cool air conditioning , Bali furniture and the manager Michelle who was very nice. They have items such as mirrors, drawers, dining room sets, rugs, coffee tables, chairs to little wooden jewelry boxes, door stoppers and brass fixtures for cabinets. Now if you go towards the back that will be the Koa room, which has beautiful detailed furniture made by a gentleman named Fritz , who is in the other warehouse across the way. The dining room sets are absolutely masterpieces. You also have upstairs with alot of fun stuff. Michelle was kind enough to show us more pieces and the stories behind all the woods used from Mango, Monkeypod to Koa wood from Bali to here. You could tell she loved working here. She showed us the "Buddha room" my favorite, which has different sizes of Buddha and Easter Island- like fixtures for indoors as well as outdoors and huge paintings to delicate table vases and coasters. The warehouse that Fritz works in had whimsical wood items, that you can enjoy to look at my pictures below, and I took alot of them! LOL They also have some cool waterfall fixtures and Buddha statues to Zen out any garden. Bad customer service!!! Don't get me wrong the furniture and decor are beautiful but the people who work there do not have good customer skills. No one said Hi, no one asked if we need help or if we have questions. I felt like my husband and I were invisible. One worker opened the door to let customers out and looked annoyed when we tried to go in. We spent a lot of time there looking at items we were interested in buying but no one wanted to help us. I will make sure to let everyone we know what kind of experience we had so they know not to give Bali Boo business. They should all take a class in good customer service!! We moved to Kauai with NO stuff and was starting our furnishing and renovation from scratch - I was bummed to find that with my very particular taste (and suckery for balinese interior design) its way hard to shop for on island, especially during COVID. I was SO stoked to find BaliBoo on Oahu, especially Deborah's willingness to guide me via photo message step by step until I was able to furnish our ENTIRE house! I kid you not, I loved so many of their things that we furnished our entire 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house (we are renovating them all) from this store. I never had to leave Kauai and undergo quarantine again, and BaliBoo packed and shipped everything via my own personal container and everything got here scot-free. Pretty unbelievable customer service. Did I mention that Deborah also started getting a feel of my taste and suggested many things that I immediately bought? I haven't even mentioned the quality of the products... Disclaimer: I am Indonesian, grew up in Indonesia, and I could spot great quality workmanship even through photos. Go to Bali Boo for your wooden furniture needs! Dining table, coffee table, chairs, headboards, dressers, anything wood, they got it. If you want a unique, quality piece, Bali Boo is your best bet. I had the hardest time choosing since they have such great variety but the sales lady, Debra, was so helpful in making recommendations based off what I said I wanted. They are located in two warehouses, right across from each other in the industrial complex by Kapaa Quarry. They have delivery services which is super nice if you don't live that side or have a truck big enough to carry your furniture. I opted for delivery and Bali Boo was nice to hold my piece until I was ready to receive it (I was in escrow when I bought it so needed to wait a while before I could move in and have the piece delivered). Debra and I communicated a week time frame for the delivery and then she called me when it was ready to go out. The whole process was super smooth. My wife and I have been on the hunt for high quality, but not custom made, furniture on the island for several months now. Well, we finally found a locally owned company that provides just that. Located in a remote area of Kailua, it is not the easiest place to find. The shop is split between two warehouse style buildings one of which is three stories high. The selection is massive and all solid wood. You could visit weekly and still find new stuff. We picked up some wall deco, a dining room glass cabinet/hutch, and a teal desk. They also have the Koa room that features higher end/hand carved furniture but that was way beyond our price range. Overall an amazing store with high quality pieces. read more

Surprise! There is a world class furniture store in Kailua on Oahu. The Bali Boo has several large showrooms filled with the finest teak furniture and art from Indonesia. Everything looks beefy and ancient. We will visit Bali Boo just to browse as we would at an art museum. Anything you buy here will last longer than civilization. And Debra, who is responsible for selecting 80% of their inventory, will make the transactions easy. She offered us free delivery for two large pieces and agreed to hold them for a couple months until we could resurface our lanai. Three other pieces that we admired we sold within 24 hours of us discovering them. No problem. Debra ordered some more without requiring a deposit. We weren't sure that the mirror would work in our lanai. Debra allowed us take it home and try it for one night before we bought it. We discovered a defect in one of the first pieces we bought and Debra discounted it accordingly. read more

I love Bali Boo. I have purchased things from them before. What sucks on this island is furniture shopping. Not many stores have descent furniture. This place has some nice stuff. However, I had the worst experience there today that no one should ever have to have. I purchased a day bed with a beautiful pillow. When it arrived, somehow it's too big (I think we tested it without the side pillows since they are sealed in plastic- and once they are on the bed the pillow was too long) . The manager and me actually put it on the bed so I'm not sure what happened. But in any event, we texted each other and I came today to get a refund as I didn't like the other pillow she had pulled for me. The woman working there said she couldn't issue me a credit beacause she wasn't aware of the discussion between the manager and me. No problem, just call her. Well that didn't happen. I'm texting for a half hour while there. I call her. No answer. Nothing is getting done. Then I'm told only store credit. Well that blows. The pillow sold is too big for the day bed so how does that mean I get stuck with store credit instead of a refund. Total BS- total bad customer service - makin me sit there texting for 1/2 hour for nothing. I drove 40 minutes to get this transaction done. I'm not leaving the pillow behind, because the worker refused to write a receipt for me leaving it. Seriously! The whole production was just insane. And there was no one in the store, so it's not like she was busy. So now I'm home with my too large pillow and I'm going to have to hire someone to make it smaller. I'm not driving another 40 min. for another round of poor customer service. A big fat zero for customer service! And I was looking forward to the next container coming with more pillows. Well I think I'll just go find pillows elsewhere. You have lost my business. I should be refunded the money for the pillow. read more

This huge warehouse is chock-a-block with handcrafted home furnishings straight out of the shipping container from Indonesia, along with locally sourced items. Three floors offer everything from inlaid wood dining sets to intricately carved wooden frames, decorative bowls, vases, pillows, statuary, and much more. This place is so much fun to browse! Were it not for Groupon, I might never have become acquainted with this little jewel. Shop manager Debbie is as genuine, helpful, and friendly as can be. If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask. They might have the item in storage, or it may come in with one of the quarterly shipping containers full of merchandise. The warehouse is located off the Kailua dump road about halfway between Mokapu Saddle Rd. and Pali Hwy. Turn mauka on Kapa'a Quarry Place and into the second driveway, then take the narrow lane all the way to the back, past All Pool. It's definitely off the beaten path but well worth the drive. We walked in this weekend and the tall Caucasian lady just ignored us and didn't give the time of day when we asked a question. After visiting every furniture store on Oahu and coming away empty handed, I remembered that I had purchased two pieces many years ago at Bali Boo. The minute I walked in I recalled why I loved this place. I was looking for just a dresser but ended up with three chairs, a dresser, a coffee table and a bed frame with carved pineapples on each corner. The store is so unique and the items are of such good quality...I'm ready to go back for the two-door cabinet with the puppet figures and a teak bookcase. BOO on Baliboo!!! I spent $375.00 on what I thought was a nice dark tropical hardwood kitchen table at Baliboo (plus more for chairs). I took good care of the table and always used place mats under plates. However, within 2 months of purchase it started developing hazy white discolorations in the table top's finish. This clearly was a case of shoddy materials and/or workmanship. I brought the table back to Baliboo and was told that they "are not responsible for any furniture after it leaves the shop." I want a refund, or an exchange for a comparable non-defective table. You're AT YOUR OWN RISK if you do business with Baliboo! read more

We were looking for beautiful, unique real wood pieces for our new home, and Bali Boo was fantastic. There is a very large inventory across a wide price range. The pieces are high quality, and look great in our house. The owner was friendly and the prices reasonable for what we were getting.
