My first recollection of Karen at CS Wo & Sons was her elegance and kind demeanor on my first visit to the store. I was impressed when she walked up to us and her professionalism was self-evident. I went back several days later to see her and she was extremely patient with me and listened carefully to my needs. During my subsequent visits to the store, Karen showed me several design styles and educated me on how to find a comfortable spot on a sofa. Amazing! Best of all, on her day off, Karen came to my newly purchased condo and took measurements and provided great ideas and thoughtful suggestions for me to think about. Excellent delivery experience! The communication leading up to delivery was great. The day of we were given updates. Such details make the whole event so much more comfortable! CS Wo was THE PLACE to get furniture and get ideas. The company screwed up and downsized to a point they have lost their integrity.... I feel bad for the designers/sales agents as they have nothing to work with... and leaving we, the customers with no really good place to purchase good quality furniture. CS Wo also used to have a lot of Asian antiques in the store. Incidental items, artificial plants, trees, garden things, fountains, lighting, art work ... GONE! everything is gone! SAD. read more

My daughter bought a new bedroom dresser from them. Their prices were competitive to other places that she looked at. She has bought items from them in the past and was happy with them. They deliver the dresser earlier than promised, calling be to be sure I would take an earlier delivery. They also let you track the progress of their truck. The dresser was wrapped in a blanket that was taken off when it was ready to be placed in the spot in the bedroom. Very please with the customer service. read more

Delivery only! I scheduled delivery about four weeks ago for today (20 August 2021). On 16 August I received a text message with the date and a timeframe (a two hour window - 1030am to 1230pm) to confirm the delivery, which I did. I received another text message earlier this morning (at 0917 am) to notify me of that deliveries had started for the day and that my item would be delivered in the timeslot scheduled. At 1047am I received a call informing me that the delivery truck was about 10 minutes away. Shortly after the call, the delivery truck pulled up to my house. I was greeted by the driver who I asked which entrance would be best. There were two other workers, one of which the driver consulted with. They did a quick survey of both entrances then selected the best suited one. All three workers offloaded the item off the truck which was in two separate boxes. They wheeled the items inside on a dolly then carried them the rest of the way through the door. Once inside, they unboxed, assembled, and placed the couch where I asked them too. While two workers were doing the finishing touches, the other was hauling the boxes back to the truck. Once set up was complete, I signed a form indicating I did in fact receive my items. Delivery was prompt, within the timeframe reserved, and the workers were courteous. All workers wore masks for the duration of the delivery and they took their shoes off before entering without being asked. Afterwards, they cleaned up after themselves. BEWARE OF TERMITES!!! I bought a 3-piece, high end couch in 2020. Two years later while cleaning under the couches, there were large piles of termite droppings under all three. I spent the next 2 years trying, without success, to eradicate the infestation with various treatments. The wood framing was of very poor quality, untreated wood. I have numerous pieces of wood furniture and cabinets throughout my home, none of which have ever had termite issues. An inspector from C.S. Wo corroborated that there was a significant infestation in all three sections. Since my warranty was still in effect, I did not ask for a new couch. Instead, I asked that they take responsibility by having the couch professionally inspected and treated. They refused to take any responsibility and referred me to a pesticide company. I STRONGLY suggest that if you are purchasing furniture from C.S. Wo, make sure that your warranty covers termite damage and that you check under any couch for termite droppings periodically. read more

1-29-2021 We had purchased a creamish off-white colored sofa and upon delivery, while plastic was being removed during installation, a small darkish scuffed part on the Italian leather was noticed. One of the delivery men notated it and the next day I was contacted to either repair or replace the sofa. I chose to repair the slight blemish. It's been about 2 weeks and that new leather upholstery of a new car smell is still present on the sofa. I like how this company's follow up was timely and an appointment was set up by Aja to have a technician come out. Yesterday I got the 24 hour prior phone call for window of time to expect William. He said 9:30-11:30 a.m. will be there. Today at exactly 9:35 a.m. my cell sounds. William had pulled up into our driveway . He was friendly, took approximately half an hour to work on the spot. He went to work applying a few layers of his magic goods which he said wasn't for sale, had a heat gun, matched the color then sprayed on a sealant. He kept his mask on and we conversed about how his mask matched his maroon CS Wo uniform. The company is large: Home World, its affiliate Abode for delivery and Ashley repairs. Usually our fur baby is a frantic alarm sounding machine when a stranger enters but she was fine with William. He did such a professional repair job that it looks perfect now. read more

I have 2 gripes let me start with the 1st. I now call them CS WHOA! My friend and I just happened to buy leather couches delivered a day apart after putting 50% down on special order. We both paid for the balance over the phone and we unknowingly got billed for the Stain Service Plus -- my charge was $449.99 + tax or $471. We were both told about an extended warranty that we could decide later. In talking to Customer Service yesterday I was quite perplexed that you have to initial if you DO NOT want the extended warranty and it may be put on your invoice or something like a borderline deceptive business practice. I don't understand how they billed both of us for the extended warranty that we both did not intended to buy ADDED to our balance w/$169 Delivery. Since I paid over the phone I was not able to initial that I did NOT want the Stain Service Plus NOR was I asked or told I was being billed for it? Don't know how prevalent this billing practice is -- just that it happened to both me and a friend. Anyway HEADS UP if you don't want it you need to initial or you can get charged! It's referred to as 10 yr extended warranty by salespeople but read it is only 1 yr on remote & 5 yrs on mechanical -- not 10 yrs -- only on stains. It appears as Stain Service Plus on your invoice. I fixed that requested refund twice!! The 1st credit never went thru so they needed my card again -- after I asked why I had not received my refund hmmm? Now here is my real gripe! Natuzzi leather couch was delivered flawed w/headrest stuffing already starting to roll. Looked like a return or floor model -- but was told it is new. Received on Friday, March 3 & reported to Customer Service on same day. After waiting a week for a response I was losing my patience as nobody called me back in 7 days? Couch stuffing is so flawed on the left seat unit this is how it looks after 9 days of use with only my son ever sitting in it. My wife and I purchased a $3,000+ 5 piece sectional from Ashley Furniture. We have had the couch for less than two years and one of the frames is beginning to bow. We thought no big deal as it seems like a simple fix and we purchased an extended warranty along with Ashley Furniture's website stating a lifetime warranty. Come to find out CS WO is the franchisee for the stores in Hawaii and only cover any repairs for 1-year and the extended warranty they sold us for $300+ only covers stains from a 3rd party company in CANADA, who operates 6 hours ahead of HST and never returns your phone calls! Even their sales and customer service associates say its hard to get in touch with them... This company is ridiculous as they are charging a premium for their furniture and only cover 1-year of normal wear and tear on a piece of furniture that should last 5+ years. I could see if we had the couch for 7-years and they do not cover repairs but to say they can do nothing for a couch that we had for less than 2-years shows how much they actually care about customer service after they have your money. Let my mistake of buying from CS WO & Sons (Ashley Furniture, Red Knot, HomeWorld, Apt.) help you find a better company that will value you as a customer. read more

This review is for Karen Kitazaki. I was visiting my parents on island and stopped in since we were remodeling our home. Karen was awesome since she asked us what type of style we liked and then made great suggestions on which pieces would work for our different spaces. It was so nice to get a designer's perspective and experience. Although we could not get all the pieces due to pricing, we did take note of all her recommendations. Absolutely the worst customer service ever experienced. We purchased their top of the line furniture for our condominium building lounge with the price to match. They delivered the furniture several months later and it was totally different from their floor model. Luckily we had taken pictures of the showroom model to prove it wasn't what we purchased. They made us wait almost a year for the replacement and then the delivery workers damaged our new wood floors by dragging the heavy furniture across it. Disappointed in the lack of communication by this store. I purchased a dresser on July 18th and had a receipt for pickup on September 1st. On September 1st I reached out to the sale associate who told me he was "off and will check on it tomorrow." I called the store and was told "the manager is in a meeting and will call you back." The manager never called me back. Instead, the associate text messaged me that the new date was September 29th due to shipping. This is completely unacceptable. I do understand that shipping can be delayed. It's the lack of communication that is unacceptable. There is absolutely no way C.S. Wo found out on September 1st that the shipping was delayed. They either knew or should have known weeks ago and done their due diligence and notified me so that I could either cancel the order entirely or make other arrangements for my clothes knowing I would have to wait at least another month. This lack of communication shows complete lack of care for the customer after they've paid. They already have the money, so who cares, right? Well, I won't be coming back to this furniture store anymore, so you could say the lack of care is now reciprocated. read more

We're planning on moving into our new home soon and decided to do a bit of furniture shopping. When we sold our house last year, we did take our custom-made tropical furniture and Chinese antiques that I "inherited". Our interior design tastes range is an eclectic mix for sure. The other week, we wandered into C.S. Wo & Sons and was met by design consultant Juana Bacud. She was perky, professional and knowledgeable about the different brands that this store has in inventory. As we walked about the store, Juana inquired about our needs and got to understand our "style". We are going to blend some of what we have and purchase the rest. Being that we started on the 1st floor, most of the furnishings were tropical and even coastal. The furniture and furnishings are definitely high quality and built to last. I took pictures of some of the collections and started to make my "wish list" of textures and styles. She showed us the contemporary collections up on the second floor. These collections had clean but almost too rigid lines that appeared to be somewhat "cold" to us. Perhaps these lines may appeal to others but it wasn't our taste. We prefer to have wood, rattan or bamboo that will work in harmony with our Chinese antiques. Juana mentioned that C.S. Wo & Sons offers complimentary design services. We might just take her up on that offer. If you're looking for high quality, upscale and unique furniture, you should give this business a visit. SELLING DANGEROUS FURNITURE AT DOUBLE THE PRICE We bought a Sorrento Power recliner for my 87 year old mother this past December only to find out a few weeks after we brought it home that it is completely unstable when reclined, like a teeter totter, tipping over and catapulting the person in it forward. It's a miracle my mom wasn't injured after she was thrown to the floor simply after sitting up for a moment. I immediately reported this to CS Wo to make sure no one else is injured, to urge them to take this off their showroom floor and make this right. They tried to blame it on my mother, saying that it "wasn't the right chair to fit the needs of my mother". Then after asking for some kind of compensation their service rep reluctantly said she would "overlook" their meager 5 day return policy and take it back but that was about it. Really?? Googling this recliner online I also discovered that they totally gouged us, charging over DOUBLE the average price for this thing. $2538, and another $261 for a battery for it, for a model that retails at just $1200 everywhere else. So disgusted. The saleswoman who sold us the chair was really nice, and I doubt she had any idea it was this hazardous. CS Wo's response -- reprehensible. So irresponsible and greedy. They've cornered the market on most furniture on Oahu and think they can now charge whatever they want and get away with nearly killing a customer. Shame. read more

Karen is a very experienced designer who guided us through our decision-making, keeping in mind our style preferences and balancing that with our expressed needs (extra sleeping area, so pull out sofa; storage space, so large antique-style console). The pieces we purchased are durable, beautiful, and comfortable. Karen was patient and friendly. Recently my mom bought a bed from the company, and Karen made sure she was well taken care of too. I'll start with my gripe: I bought nearly $10k in household furniture for a small apartment which is not a lot. For the price I paid, the quality was lacking. My furniture has many chips in the stains & has broken now countless times. The Isanti bed I waited on for months didn't survive one month before breaking. I cannot blame this on the store, as it is definitely the manufacturer. As my grandfather would say, "They just don't make anything like they used to." During the week of Thanksgiving, two of our chairs had broke. On one, the back had snapped off entirely. With plans of hosting Thanksgiving in our new apartment, of course it had distressed us, however, Jeremy came to the rescue. It was obviously a very busy day & Jeremy quite literally sat aside his many tasks to take us on & made sure that we were provided with the utmost of superior care. I'm infuriated and disgusted with the service from C S Wo. I paid for a Dining table in March 2021 from the salesperson Karen who checked their inventory and said it was currently being shipped. I was told I could expect it in May. In May I checked back in for a status update and was told it was still on the ship and be here by the end of the month. After checking back in again, now Karen says it has been shipped yet and will now come in sometime in August. I'm guessing my table did come in in June and they sold it to someone else and now they had to reorder it. For a furniture store that prides itself in quality, they sure lack in integrity and service. They should have called me for updates and kept better tabs on their orders. Had our bed and bed frame delivered and the delivery guys asked if they could dash and not have to assemble the frame because they were "running late." We end up assembling it and there's a piece that doesn't fit correctly. They offer to come back the next day to assemble any time AFTER 4pm. I get a call at 2pm from them saying they're at my house. I say I'm working, they say "ok we'll hang around and wait.". Being paid to "hang around" for 2 hours. I bet if they worked as hard as they hung around, their jobs would get completed. The last time I set foot into this store was when I was shopping for furniture back in the late-90's for my place. At that time I was amazed by the furniture that came along with an amazing price tag. Good to look around but a little too much for me... I came here yesterday with a friend who was looking for some furniture for his spare bedroom after going to several places. Perhaps it was a weekday morning so the parking lot was quite empty as we pulled in shortly after 10am. As we walked into the store, I was overwhelmed with the nice decor which had Asian themes here and there. On the floor there were several sales associates who were friendly greeting us and made sure we were doing fine. Once again, this place is amazing with outstanding and exotic furniture with "amazing" price tags. I don't think this is a place for me to shop at this stage in life but something to consider should I reach there. Our sales associate was Helen and she was so accommodating and friendly. .Me and my husband came here to look around for bed platform and I saw a really majestic one for $5,000 It was really beautiful, it was a 4 post and has carvings on every corner of the post. Rating this store honestly I was a bit torn whether it's a 4 star of 5 star because they have a lot of nice furniture and most of them are Tommy Bahamas, and I think they are in family with Neiman Marcus that's why it's so expensive. But I give them a 5 because the atmosphere of the place is very nice; furniture are really fancy , and good quality, but I think it really just caters to the upper class people, or to those with deep pockets hehe... But over all I recommend that if you are the type that don't care about the price of furniture then I recommend this place, they really have unique stuff. read more

The Worst. Kept me waiting 10 months (promised five) for an expensive couch, and when it arrived it displayed shoddy construction, the two pieces didn't match or match up...and the delivery guys bashed up my walls and doors bringing it in. The repair guys they sent made everything worse. Finally agreed to take it back, and on the way out they damaged my front door and my building's elevator door. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
