5 January 2021 In search of a chest of drawers, I Googled 'furniture stores' and found ABC Furniture. When I looked at it's location on the map I was a bit puzzled. I was puzzled because I go to a gym in the area an never noticed a furniture store. I was wrong. It is right next to the gym I go and I noticed the building ever time except, based on the sign, I always thought it was a mattress warehouse only. The parking lot is shared with the other businesses. It looks like it would be challenging to navigate if it were full, especially since there were two large delivery trucks parked outside. There is also street parking available too. The exterior of the building isn't too appealing. It is a warehouse style building crammed between a church and what looks like a woodworking shop (maybe that's where they repair furniture?). That made it a bit confusing to find the entrance. Once we found a door, we poked our heads inside to verify we were in the right place. An employee at the desk (she looked like the owner/manager by he demeanor) was on the phone but welcomed us in. After walking past the desk, we noticed all the furniture. It is a big facility but all the furniture was packed in there. The showroom had furniture for ever room in the house. I even noticed a sleeper (I have been thinking of getting one) but it was a floral colour and I want something plain with a solid colour. We saw three chest of drawers that we liked. They were simple and each was a different shade of brown. Each were approximately $900. I think the price is on par for Hawaii. Delivery to Ewa Beach would be $95. Another female employee was helpful with showing us all the different pieces and answering any questions we had. We were not committed yet so we took a business card and left. Needed some new cushion covers for my Hawaiian sofa. Was told to go Walmart, but decided to give a local company my business. So headed to Waipahu to ABC Furniture and met Patricia. She was very helpful, but I got to admit not too many cushion covers were available for sale, or in the material pattern that I liked. But with the owners help and Patricia, I was sold the display model. All in all I'm happy with what I got. read more

First time here. My friend recommended this place. I didn't realize Waipahu had a Furniture Store in the industrial area. I was looking for a dining table. I'm glad I went there. The prices are half from other furniture stores around Oahu. Example: $5000 vs $2000 if you're looking for a leather couch. They have everything here...beds, recliners, dining sets, etc. The owner, Jane Chong, does everything from sales to cashier and also showing you around the warehouse. Excellent customer service. This was 1 of 4 furniture stores we stopped by while looking for a new king bed (mattress and frame). And we made it a point to stop here because we actually bought our current bed frame from here about 5 years ago--- a beautiful dark-colored solid bamboo platform queen bed that we got for about $1K. It wasn't a display bed but was one we ordered from a catalog they had. We love our current bed and it is very durable but we wanted a wider bed. ABC is not a higher-quality furniture store like INspiration, Red Knot, etc. It's like a mom and pop's furniture store. Selection is a bit dated and we never found anything this time. And unfortunately they indicated that they no longer allow ordering from a catalog. I still give them this rating based off our previous purchase and because their sales reps are the best of any furniture store we've been too. Genuine, nice, and easy to talk to. read more

Took our couch and 2 chairs in to be reupolstered and took 4 months more than promised. Very unprofessional, they don't check on material being ordered. Where it's at in the process, if we didn't go in to check the progress of the reupolstering we would never get them back. They didn't know the fabric was back ordered. My husband and I were looking for a new sofa and we needed it before our Christmas Eve party. The first place we looked was ABC Furniture and they had a nice selection of all types of furniture at very reasonable prices. The sales lady and manager were also very friendly and offered us assistance from the start. We ended up finding a sectional and ottoman set that we really liked for a total of $1,500. Unfortunately they didn't have any in stock and they wouldn't get them in until the end of December, which was cutting it close for us. We offered to buy the floor model, but the manager said she couldn't sell it to us, which was very disappointing so regretfully we had to leave and continue our search elsewhere. We ended up going to two other stores in the area, but we didn't find anything we really liked and the prices were a lot higher. The prices for a sectional at these stores started at $2,000 and above. So we decided to go back to ABC Furniture and see if we could get the sectional before 12/24. When we returned, the ladies were just as warm and welcoming as before. After checking the shipment dates, they were able to ensure us that the sectional would be delivered by 12/23 and they even waived the delivery cost since we came back, which was awesome! And as promised, the sectional and ottoman arrived right on time without any issues. We love our new set and we're really happy we went back and trusted ABC Furniture to get us our order in time. Do not allow appearances to deceive you. The rough exterior of their building fails to show the quality product this establishment produces. In our case we had five couch cushions and six throw pillows gutted and re-stuffed. So glad I called ABC to ask about fixing my sofa cushions on my 15 yr old couch. The cushions were sagging and the past year I even tried using corrugated cardboard under the cushions for support. But after awhile that wasn't working any more and happy to find them. We brought our cushions to ABC. We tried out the firmness in their showroom couches and chose the firmness that we liked. This really helped to choose how our couch would feel at home. My sofa now feels like a new piece of furniture with the replaced styrofoam and it feels just right to our family. We searched... and searched... and searched for a sofa and coffee table when we first got out apartment and everyplace we went said it would take 3-4 months to get any sofa we picked out. We didn't want to rent one from Colortyme (besides the fact that we didn't like any of their selection)... we want to buy one... we had some things in mind, and everytime we found SOMETHING even close it just wouldn't work. One day out on our search, a truck drove by for ABC Furniture.... so I googled it on my blackberry - got the address and we went. It is down a random street/alley that looks like mostly industrial space... we had no idea what to expect! When we walked in we met David - who told us to look around and to let him know if we had any questions at all. We walked around and there she was... the perfect sofa for us. Right size, Right Color, Right Material... and Comfy! So we told David we liked the sofa - he said great, let me check upstairs to see if we have it in stock - and said he would even help us otu a bit on the price! After checking, the sofa was in stock and ready for purchase! David took off some money for us, and gave us a good price on delivery - and our sofa was to be delivered just two days later! David was pleasure to work with - and the delivery guys were VERY Nice and helpful! They left their shoes in the hallway, without me even asking! A couple of years ago my husband and I decided to buy our first "real" set of brand new furniture from ABC furniture. The buying process was easy and the staff helpful. We bought am real black leather set of couches. What really sold me was that they had smaller furniture; i have a condo and didn't want to fill it up with gigantic pieces. My only concern with the couches were the ugly cheap looking legs. I was assured that they would be replaced before i got the couches delivered. Well deliver day came and of course no new legs. Finally after haggling more than one sales person and the manager my husband made beautiful dark cherry wooden legs. I gave up i just wanted my living-room to look nice :) -Two years goes by- My couches, that i have taken excellent care of, conditioned, i don't have children or pets, they are not in direct sunlight. The leather starts peeling off or i should say the FAKE leather started peeling off. I called and spoke to numerous people, emailed pictures, battled for months and still cant get any help. Bad business...i will never buy furniture from them again. read more

We've purchased a bed and a dining table here over the course of one year. The bed was fairly priced and has been very comfortable for the past year. They delivered the bed, and the awesome movers brought it up two flights of stairs! I apologized about the lack of elevators at our old apartment. The dining table we bought was also very fairly priced that came with two chairs. The table was available on the spot for us, neatly packed in a box. I would highly recommend buying furniture from here as you could find some better deals and some gems as opposed to the Ashley Home Furniture stores and Red Knot, which charge way too much. Took our vintage wingback chair to ABC Furniture for reupholster. First off, Regina is great, she was very patient with us picking out the perfect fabric. When I saw a fabric that I liked, that they didn't have in stock, they allowed us to find it ourselves and supply our own fabric. Next, the workman ship. I must say our wingback chair was falling apart, tears all over the cushions. However, it has been in the family for decades and we wanted to give it a new look. The results, spectacular! Final update: I guess the expression "all's well that ends well" applies here. The chairs turned out beautiful. The cushioning is now firm yet comfortable. We had a 200,000 double rub velvet fabric and high-density foam used. The webbing was also replaced. The chairs should now look great for a long time. Better than new! $700 well spent. We took off a star because the process took so long. But the overall experience has been positive. read more

I have no choice to give 1 star, but if I had a choice I'd give it -5 star. The salesperson Lita at ABC furniture is very conniving. She is a good what she does, but not very honest and trustworthy. She will do whatever for you to buy from her and tell you that they are the cheapest in the island which is a lie because I had bought the same furniture at Ashley's furniture and is way cheaper and more chairs for the dining table. And she also lied that if we come back for more furniture then a discount on delivery. Don't ever go there! Very bad experience and will empty your wallet read more

Deals and service aren't bad, but it seems this place is poorly managed. Tried to use the advertised 10% off Yelp check in offer, but nobody would honor it. They were going to give us a just because 5% off on a cheap mattress, but they could not get to their stock because the manager had the key and was away. I could have let the false advertising of 10% discount, or the "can't get into our warehouse" issue slip, but together it turned into a bad experience and a huge waste of time. Too bad. read more

Our experience at ABC Furniture Store started very positive and pleasant. The ladies were very nice and helpful. However when our furniture was delivered, the bed platform was the wrong size for our mattress. As well, the dining table we thought we ordered was not on the truck. I contacted the store and they told me I for sure ordered the size they sent, even though I already had the mattress and knew quite well what size it was. As for the table, they told us we said we didn't want it and took it off the order. I assure you this didn't happen. What bothers me the most is they told me the whole thing was my fault and wouldn't do anything for us. Now I'm stuck with a bed platform that doesn't fit my mattress, and no dining table. read more

Purchased 3 twin loft bunk bed.. aside from the 10% Labor Day special, the owner gave us discount on delivery and set up. Staff was really helpful, delivery days was set up fast... two guys came and deliver our kids beds, with 10 steps up, they did it pretty quick and assemble the beds on a timely manner. Overall I would recommend this place to people, good friendly staff from start to finish!!! read more

They do not honor the 10 percent off when you check in. It is okay furniture, cheap and they deliver really fast. The staff is pretty friendly as well and that is the only reason it got 3 stars. I'd give it more but I wasn't really that impressed. We did buy a bed from here and we have had no problems. So maybe they deserve 4 actually. It had been three years since the manager of this store had came to my house. We spend a few thousand on a bedroom set as a gift for Mother's Day. We had it delivered and there deliver guys scratched our wooden staircase bringing it up. They said they'll send someone to touch up our stairs but nothing has been done since there manager came down. If I'm not so busy I would bring this company to court. Not only did they ruin our staircase but their furniture got scratches on them. We felt that we end up with second hand quality!!! Purchased a dinning room table with six chairs from Gina. The floor model was white cloth chair seat, I got black vinyl seats. No big deal but was not informed before it was delivered. Was also not informed about assembly charge until after the sale was written up Additional $50.00 to screw legs unto table. Now the fun part my invoice showed on the upper right corner that delivery was to be Friday April 8th. No one called the night before or on that day. I called only to find out that the sales person (Gina) forgot to log it into the delivery book. Was told I would have to wait till the following week and they would schedule it and call me back. I said to cancel the sale and refund my money but they did not want that. It took me over 30 minutes to get them to delivery it that day. 900am was told between 1030 and 1100 am. Showed up 1120. Not a big deal knowing all the traffic problems we have. The boss shows up with the delivery truck and said nothing. No I am sorry or appreciation for the business no compensation for the sales person and their mistakes. I have purchased there before and had no problems but with the best sales person (george) gone it is not the same. Beware when shopping there. I for one will never go back read more

It's not Home World, so don't expect it to be when you get there. It's more of a warehouse with a showroom if anything. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We saw some furniture that we had seen at other stores, but the price was much cheaper. We bought 2 beds and some bedroom furniture and it was delivered a couple days later. Buyer beware...We bought an entire bedroom set to include three beds and a dresser. This particular $700 dresser was made by night and day furniture and reputed to be an excellent choice for children's furniture with a 10 year warranty. When the dresser arrived the first drawer was coming apart at the dove tailing. We were concerned, but the delivery person said just put some glue on it and it'll be fine. He said that's how they would handle it if we returned it. Over time the other drawers began to show the same weakness. As we were moving we decided to take the dresser back to the store and request a replacement. They took the dresser and assured us that the manufacturer was exceptional and would replace the dresser in our new state. We arrived in the new state and after several months of correspondence we were told that the dresser would not be replaced by the manufacturer and that we would have to work with ABC furniture to resolve the matter. We have now asked for a refund but manager has refused and insists that we wait for him to replace the dresser from a company in our new state. This will require us to transport the dresser or pay an additional delivery charge. We still have no idea when/if the dresser will be replaced. I would not buy from this company again. read more

I was looking for a couch with chase that can be transformed into a bed and found a model that I wanted via ABC furniture website. I called them up the next day, the lady on the phone was very helpful, she verified that the model I wanted was in stock and that I could come and see it that same day. She told me to speak to Patricia when I came, which I did. Patricia was super nice. Note that they have prices on line that they may or may not give you when you are in the store. In my case they honored the online price. Also, I mentioned that online they advertised free shipping, which they also honored (savings of $95). Surprisingly, they delivered the next day and the delivery guys went out of their way to get the sofa into my house, given that their truck could not get up my steep driveway. They were really courteous too. and the prices were very reasonable. Their show room is really worth a visit, although it is way out of the way. read more

Our purchase of a sofa and love seat started out positive. The love seat was on the floor so it was sold 'as is.' Knowing that we carefully looked it over and didn't see anything wrong. When it was delivered there was damage in about 7 different areas. The worst was a puncture in the leather in the front. The others were abrasions. After many phone calls and emails, they finally said they would repair it. After about 4 weeks we got it back but the repairs are almost as bad as the damage. The epoxy or whatever the used was still tacky. Very disappointed and frustrated. read more
