People love to go on Yelp to complain, but when you have hundreds of people passing through a dealership and service department each week, it is clear from the interactions I have seen at Balise Ford that not enough of those more common than not excellent experiences are being recorded here. Balise Ford's sales team (in particular Jason Arruda) was fantastic when my wife and I were ready to get new cars. But what is really special about Balise is, once you buy a car, they treat you like family going forward. Particularly, Rick Diaz from the Service Department always goes out of his way to be thoughtful and helpful whenever our family needs anything. The work on our vehicles is always done efficiently and well, and Balise does a great job communicating with customers. When my wife unexpectedly had a baby a month early, we had left one of our cars for service at Balise a few days prior. Rick actually told us not to worry at all, held onto my car until we could come get it and checked in with us several times to just see how the baby was doing. Balise does not just have great service - Rick Diaz and the team at Balise treat their customers the right way from start to finish, turning the task of having to deal with vehicle maintenance into a very positive experience. I purchased a f150 lightning here last fall. I rely on my vehicle to make a living. The vehicle failed last week and wouldn't take a charge. I called Belise for help. They don't care. I begged them to let me bring the vehicle in for a quick check. They said no. I begged for a replacement vehicle since mine is still under warranty. They don't care. I am retired living on a minimal amount of social security. I want the money I make in August to make it through the winter. I would be reluctant to buy here again and I would recommend others to think twice before buying here. If you sell a product and you want to continue selling products you should stand behind you sales no matter the cost. To leave someone out in the cold because you have a "policy" is outrageous. read more

Courtesy, ignorance, arrogance. On Thursday, 25 Sept, I took my 2025 Mustang, still under warranty, in for service for tiny warning lights on my dash that were not covered in the Owner's Manual. The service advisor looked at them and said that they were not a problem. I asked him to find someone who knew more about that particular car. He did and his colleague said it was a problem with the proximity sensors and get a reading on the computer for a code. The service advisor ignored him and repeated "there is nothing wrong with your vehicle." and turned his back on me and walked away. I said "I guess I need to call Ford." He very insolently said, "Go ahead" and continued to walk away. So I called Ford in Dearborn and the confirmed that it was a problem with the sensors and suggested I go to another dealer and , if I wishes to pursue this, talk to the dealership manager first. On Friday, I tried calling the dealership, but they make it almost impossible to actually talk to someone, so I sent an email to the only address available which was available, their Internet Specialist. So far, no response. For my part, I will never have anything to do with this dealership and if anyone asks me, I will recommend the same to them. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I inquired about a brand new vehicle and even confirmed twice by phone with the sales rep that it was on-site and available for a test drive. I reiterated that I was only interested in that car. After driving over an hour to get there, I was told the car couldn't be sold due to a recall. It was a complete waste of time. What frustrated me most was how easily I was misled about the car's availability. Don't waste your time. This place is full of dishonest & misleading sales people. If they handled it better, they may have actually been able to get a future sale. I predict this place will go out of business. AI can do these peoples jobs. read more

Oil change at a price of a mortgage payment. Oil change package is priced at $79 with coupon and includes tire rotation. In my case they happily let me know that they cannot do tires rotation because lug nuts on my car were swollen. They gave me an option to buy 20 lug nuts from them for $200. I blame myself that I agreed. Turns out that they charge additional $55 for new lug nuts installation (or old lug nuts removal - Reception guy gave me some BS explanation). They will apply this charge although the oil change package includes tire rotation. So, I paid twice for the tire rotation. Amazon sells the same quality lug nuts for $30. Dealer's manager will swear that his lug nuts are superior. Cabin filter replacement- I blame myself that I agreed to change it after they told me that it is approximately $40. Turns out it is more than $70. They did not mention labor cost of $37. It took 5 minutes max to swap the cabin filter. $37*30=$1,110. Theoretically they charge hourly rate of $1,110 to replace a cabin filter. Even Harvard trained attorneys charge less. Valvoline will replace it for $40 including labor and a smile. Both reception guys on Monday were sleepy and unwelcoming. No surprise - in the waiting room they had only decaf coffee. read more

My 2010 Lincoln MKZ has been in the service department six times since 2022 for brakes. Each time I have had to pay for either pads, rotors, or calipers. Last time was May 2025. Lo and behold the front end is shimmying when the brakes are applied. I sent an email to Jeb Balise complaining about it. He never replied! Sad cause they have a car I am interested in by common sense keeps me from buying!! read more

4/3/25 dropped truck off, after all day "we cant hear any noise." Pick it up, standing with Rick svc advisor outside talking about his yard etc, truck idles down and begins making the noise. Rick hears it and brings someone else out, that person, an older man, also confirms noise. We make appt to bring it back in to diagnose noise. Truck brought back, I forget date, confirmed noise as intake manifold, advised will order part and call me when its in to make repair. Great! that was easy, so I thought....2 months later I call to check status of part. Rick states from what he can see, the repairs have been done, the invoice is closed out and marked complete. After telling Rick the work was never done, he kept saying that's what I see here. Rick states he will talk to his boss and see whats going on. Rick calls back, they found my intake manifold part in supply. We make appt to bring truck in for repair. 6/18/25: Truck goes in for intake manifold repair. Receive text from Rick 7:30ish on 6/19 that tech stayed late and finished repair night prior, truck is ready. I return loaner and pick up truck. Truck is making the same noise I originally brought it in for. I call Rick outside to document. He hears noise and advised the truck will need to be brought in again for diagnosis. Appt made 6/24/25 Truck is brought back for diagnostic (4th time back to Balise, no remedy) . After a full day Rick calls me near closing and advises me the noise is arcing from the plugs and coils, tech noticed arcing. I advise Rick its the same noise as originally heard and does not sound like arcing as I have had a 6.2 Ford before with arcing plugs/coils and the noises sound nothing alike. Rick states it needs a tune up, new plugs and coils to the tune of $2900. I ask Rick if they have diagnosed and believe the noise is caused by arcing if they would not charge me post tune up if noise remains. Rick states he will talk to his boss and get back to me. Multiple days go by with no call from Rick. 6/30/25; I call Service dep and speak to Madison, she asks for brief detail on issue, states Rick is with a customer and if he doesnt call me back then she will speak to svc manager about not charging me if tune up does not fix noise and call me back. Rick calls back and leave voicemail and states that his boss says they will not guarantee that performing the tune up for the coils and plugs will fix the noise in question even though they diagnosed the noise as such. I advised him the noises are nothing alike and I would like to meet with Rick, his boss or another service advisor, the tech who diagnosed the arcing and perhaps another tech for another point of view. Review is for service area. When I previously brought my car into a different dealership, they rotated my tires incorrectly. Not the end of the world, but the manual says to rotate them a certain way. They were very kind and fixed it. This time when I mentioned it upon dropping it off to save them some time, my comment was dismissed as though the manual is incorrect. I was then made to feel as though my request was inappropriate or unwarranted since "no other clients had asked for that in a year." The funny thing is, my company is expanding, and I was also there to discuss with them purchasing three additional trucks immediately, in addition to the truck I'm currently in that I just bought for my business. We will need 10 additional trucks this year, and although this was a service related issue, I will not be returning to Balise. The conversation went like this: - could you please make sure that they rotate them per the requirements of the service manual, I just had a occasion once before where they did it in properly and had to redo it. - I've never had anyone asked that in a year - technician - OK I just feel like since it's in the service manual. That's the way they should do it. I'm just trying to save them some time of having to redo it. -"like I said no one requests that but I can mention it to the foreman." - technician - OK yeah thanks (I'm starting to get slightly annoyed, like just agree to it man - it's what the manual says!) can we confirm he's going to do it that way? - "no one really asks I'll mention it to them" - technician - ok I'd like to speak with your manager. Honestly, this is listed in your manual. If it's not important, it shouldn't be in the manual. at the very least, when someone requests to have service done per the manual, just agree to it. I did give them one additional star, only because their sales and finance department were so great to work with. read more

I am a loyal Ford Customer with over 15 Ford vehicles purchased over the past 10 years. I recently had need for a right rear tail light lens as mine was cracked. I did not need the blind spot detector, only the plastic lens. I went on line looking to buy a lens. I found 3rd party sources that had lens ranging from $240 - $500, but was directed to call Ford Service directly to get pricing from them. When I called Balise Ford, i was shocked when i was quoted a price of $2,400. I explained i only needed the lens, but they said, that was the price. I then called Herb Chambers Ford and was quoted a price of $2,100. I then called Frederick Ford and was quoted $1,840. As a business leader, i understand that they are there to make money, but Ford should be ashamed of themselves for this high a markup. I bought the part from a 3rd party for $265 including shipping and it took me 15 minutes to change out the light. The only difference between the 3rd party lens and Ford Lens is the word "Ranger" is not molded into the plastic under the top cover and that can only be seen when you closely look at part and does not show up when lights are on. So you need to do your homework if you are buying parts from Ford. In talking with others about this, they also expressed what the found to be these excessive markups for basic parts. read more

Service Department is incredibly misleading, unable to fix what they were already supposed to have fixed and charged a lot for, and basically told me I have nothing to worry about - no problems (I keep breaking down due to the supposedly fixed issue). Nobody knows what tf is going on and you have to speak to 17 different people to find one with a brain cell that can answer your question. I have had numerous appointments scheduled for a recall for the last 8 months that they continue to cancel on me. I finally get the appointment, drive the 45 minutes to get it done and they tell me they can't do it today and then argue with me. This place is beyond unprofessional and ridiculous. During these unforeseen times, it's nice to be treated right and feel special when buying-ordering a new car (big investment these days). We reached out to the dealership and got greeted by a friendly voice, after being asked what were looking for (F350-commerical truck) they transferred me to Richard Robbie. I made an appointment with Richard and was welcomed right away. Long and short, knowing what I wanted after doing a good amount of research...I still had a couple questions and got the answers...nice to deal with someone who knows their product, real confidence builder...there for less and than hour with no rush feeling and had a great time...most of that hour was just talking about life and the Maverick...it was almost like the good old days where you felt appreciated and thanked for buying any product never mind a car-truck. As you know you have many choices where to buy your next Ford, but if you want amazing communication, follow up, knowledgeable team and very very very fair deal...Richard Robbie, Commercial Truck Manager or any other of the Balise Ford Team, (doesn't feel like a large chain dealership)...thank you Richard and team and see you in an few months or less and see you in the spring for more trucks. Less than optimal customer service. Went there for an oil change in their "quick lane". Website advertises quick lane. When I arrived Service said quick lane is closed. Was told our website says it's by appointment only. When I said the website said quick lane was open, he said it said website has it at the bottom by appointment only as if I was wrong. I went back to the webpage nothing states "by appointment only" and quick Lane is fully advertised as an option for oil changes and Open. Fix your website to reflect your service and there are more courteous ways of communicating service should be scheduled. read more

Service manager Chris is very unprofessional he talked about how old our truck was and why would we come to them in the first place for repairs knowing our truck was old on speaker phone to the tow truck owner Dean for Capeway towing service who they recommended to us to have our truck towed there for repair, after we found out that our driveshaft was damaged during the transport between the two companies and now no one is responsible for the damages when our truck left our home without this damage. The treatment we received from both parties as a 7 month pregnant women standing with my husband who is a honest hardworking person who was just going there for repairs to his engine and ended up with a broken driveshaft and neither party wanting to take responsibility was very hurtful, unprofessional, and disappointing. Just imagine paying another tow truck company to tow your work truck that provides for your family back home without any of the repairs being fixed at all and another repair added that was not there before they received you property. The store manager called our complaint a kindergartner conversation in front of the store staff and told us we had to leave because we were disturbing other customers. We received a call from the service advisor Rick the day he saw the damage after Dean the owner for Capeway towing services son Connor delivered our truck damaged to Balise ford and his son also received a call about the damage but we never received a call from Connor or his dad Dean the tow truck owner to clarify what had happened to our truck. read more

Beware: I had to bring my car to another mechanic shop to stop the gushing of gas from a botched fuel filter job. I just had my brakes inspected and they told me that the lug nuts were on backward on my tire. This is the second time that a repair shop found something that Balise Ford did that could have led to a fatality for me, my wife or others. I have contacted the consumer complaint division of the State Attorney General's office. Balise Ford has not given me a refund per my request. read more

Balise Ford never rectified the complaint I had about their service. I sent them a letter with the documentation that the work that they did furthered the problem that they said they had fixed. They rotated my tires and put the lug nuts on backwards. Gas streamed out of the fuel line where they said they had replaced the fuel filter. A simple oil change turned into a life threatening nightmare. I paid Balise over three hundred dollars and then paid a reputable mechanic, to fix the damage that they had done. I have no trust in Balise Ford and would caution anyone who is thinking about going there to reconsider. read more

I paid thousands of dollars to repair my truck and when I went to get an inspection sticker my truck failed because all the work that I paid for and that was written one my invoice as completed was not done! Worst dealer experience ever. Went here with my girlfriend who was interested in a lease and was looking to test drive an Escape. The guy we were dealing with said she needed to fill out a credit check before we could test drive. This should have been a red flag but this was my first car shopping experience so I let it slide. After she filled out the credit form we were ready to test drive, but the guy came back and gave a whole spiel about a used Escape they had for sale and was a great deal. We decided to test drive that because it was the same car anyway. After the drive, she was actually fairly interested in purchasing, but we had more cars to see, so Balise said she could put down a refundable deposit and make a decision in a day or two. This seemed like a good idea at the time, since we were assured it was fully refundable. Afterwards we went to Primier and had a COMPLETELY different experience. She was able to get behind the wheel of a car within MINUTES and it was a completely transparent process with all the numbers clearly laid out. After this, she decided to go with a Jeep, largely because of the shopping experience - and we figured that was the end of the ordeal. However, during multiple calls to Balise Ford about the refundable deposit they kept giving her the run around and tried to say she had to come in a see a manager. Everything they agreed to refund it over the phone. However, after THREE WEEKS she checked and the refund was never issued. She called again and they brushed her off and said she has to talk to the manager. All for what we were told was a simple, totally refundable deposit. Long story short she ended up having to dispute the charge with her credit card company after over a MONTH. Balise Ford basically tried to steal $500 for her after just coming in for a test drive. Complete unprofessional, rude, sleazy crooks. Amazing they manage to stay in business. Avoid at all costs. read more

If I could give one star I would. My Escape is still under warranty, but even though I bought the extended warranty, I can't get a rental or my car fixed. In fact, I can't even get anyone to answer the phone. My car was "supposed" to be done 2 days ago, I have not heard anything and can't get anyone on the phone. Is my car fixed? Who knows! All while I continue to pay out of pocket for a rental since the service manager told me despite my purchase of a warranty for this, they are no longer doing rentals. On Wednesday March 18, 2023 I dropped my 2019 F150 Rocky Ridge edition to Balise Ford of Hyannis Ma. I was told it would be about an hour for the Oil change and rotation of my Custom wheels. After an hour the Service Advisor tells me I'm all set except one issue we had with your Truck. I asked what could be wrong with it?? Mind you this Truck only has 19,628 miles on it still brand new. He says can I ask you who did your last oil change?? I said Empire Ford in New Bedford Ma. Why is that I ask? He then brings me to my Truck and shows me the Mechanic had broken a lug nut in half when he was supposably loosening it and it can't be removed unless we torch it and ruin your rim. The Service Advisor states that it wasn't their fault. Empire Ford over tightened every one of these and it's probably going to happen to more of them if he continues. I said so what now? He said your all set and handed me back my keys to the truck. I said you're not going to try to rectify this situation. He said it's not our fault and handed me the Bill for $99.94 and he didn't take off rotating the Tires. I was very upset and went to speak to the General Manager. I explained the situation and he looked into it only to tell me they can fix the broken lug nut by cutting them off my truck, but it will be costly and will damage your rims. most likely will need new rims and tires even gives me quote for new ones. I said why can't you just drill it out and he says this isn't our problem you need to take it up with Empire Ford. I was never so mad about the way I was treated. Knowing I was leaving Balise Ford and if I got a flat tire, I wouldn't be able to change it. I then called Empire Ford and spoke with the Service Department and was told to bring my truck to them ASAP. The service department took my truck and fixed it without any issues. Ordered parts for a recall (that I was never notified about) 6 weeks prior to appointment. Got a call saying the parts were in, and then scheduled the work to be done. When I arrived (20 min early) for my appointment I was told the parts were never ordered, and they had no idea when they would be in. They then proceeded to take OVER TWO HOURS to make me a $300 key. when I asked to speak with the general manager I was told "he's not in" - and I silently thought to myself "looks like there has been no management here for quite some time" UPDATE: the service staff who handled my case (Danny Mathews) and the Service manager (David Pacheco) did an excellent job of accommodating the entire situation. I truly believe they did their best with a system that is systematically broken. Apparently there is a central call/scheduling center that essentially has no affiliation and apparently ZERO communication with the actual dealership. This call center took my VIN number, arranged the parts to be ordered, (so they said) and scheduled the appointment when the parts "arrived." The service manager reports that he cannot order parts for a recall, before the vehicle is actually on site at the dealership. Meanwhile the centralized call center is telling customers that the parts have been ordered, then calling them back telling them the parts have arrived, and schedule the service. [when in reality the parts are still not ordered from the dealership]. Then I was told I needed back brakes on my 2015 Ford Transit van. I'm thinking: "$99 special or $199 per axel" maybe... Nope. Try OVER $1000.00 FOR BACK BREAKS!!! He explained that the way the vehicle is designed they have to remove the hub to change the breaks on this thing. So essentially the engineers never even considered changing the pads or calipers because it is a huge pain in the ass apparently to do these breaks. So essentially the system that Belise Ford is currently using is systematically broken. The right hand has no idea what the left is doing, and the customer has no idea which hand they're talking to. Complete nightmare. That being said, this obviously dysfunctional system is somehow able to get hard working, dedicated, tactful, respectful, polite, and helpful staff. My suggestion to the staff was that if they're making less than six figures they should get another job. Unfortunately these guys are stuck in a position of bearing the brunt of the anger and dissatisfaction from the customers. I'm very glad that all of our conversations were respectful. Finally they reported that they did have the parts for the same recall for another customer that "no showed." They gave me a loaner car while the repairs were being done. They also offered me a 10% discount and asked if I would consider updating my review. I am a reasonable man, so I am more than happy to update my review reciprocally with a 10% increase in stars. I will generously go even further since fractions of stars aren't allowed, I will even round up to two stars due to the hard work of select staff inside this broken system. read more

Beyond disappointed with our experience. 3 times my husband spoke to someone regarding a truck he saw online, 3 times he mentioned we would be coming from Providence, RI to look at the vehicle. Today he took the 90 minute drive only to be back in his vehicle heading home less than 10 minutes later. It was once they had him in the door did they feel the need to disclose that the truck he was interested in (a recent trade-in) needed $15,000 worth or work. I have never dealt with salespeople who worked so hard NOT to be helpful and really "sold" me on dealing with another company. From the jump I knew this dealership was going to be less than helpful. I went in mind with a very specific car and package, so really it was just a matter of getting me what I wanted. Easy right? Not so much I guess. After explaining what I want and letting them know I would be trading in two cars and paying for the entire car It was suggested I "walk the lot" to see if there was anything I liked.....Pretty sure I just told them EXACTLY what I wanted...Anywho, after walking around in twenty degree weather and (surprise!) NOT finding the exact car I wanted I had to go back in and just kinda sit around until they "got some numbers together." Once they brought back the estimate that was calculated on the assumption that I didn't own the car I wanted to trade in and they had to start that all over I was invited to watch the F-150 torture test on youtube at full volume alone..For twenty minutes!! In a cavernous, quiet showroom. It was a little weird. (I was bashed over the head about this video until I was forced to watch it...literally forced.) There were two other visits that had a very similar story-line but retelling them tries my patience mightily. But I must share the one thing that really decided me on going to another dealership. (Chatham Ford by the way...first rate dealers.) After doing the back and forth for a long time they said "oh we have a blahblah that matches what you want but it is in New Jersey....Great right? Lets see the car..I asked for pictures of the vehicle...Odometer, tires, interior, exterior..etc. Now, I am no car dealer but I would never try to get someone to sign a contract without SEEING THE CAR FIRST. Seems like bad business to me. Not one but two people at this dealership told me they couldn't get picture of the car before they had it shipped from Jersey...It's in Jersey! No one in Jersey could take a walk outside to snap a few pics of a car they want to sell? You get the idea, nobody should have to fight to give money away. I couldn't fathom why they wouldn't accommodate such a simple request...Still got my car just not from these jokers. read more
