At first everything was great. We found a truck we liked. Price was reasonable. The paperwork to purchase was all online. Shame on me for assuming everything was in order. Months later when I was looking into the warranty we purchased I could not get a copy outlining the whole sale. I received photo copies of a receipt for a down payment, a written number on a piece of paper for the warranty price, and a written number for rmv fees. bought a truck from them about 6 months ago and first it was the starter, then it was the air conditioner pump or what ever its called and then the truck died for a 3rd time so I sent it in after being made wait over a week to bring it in and after keeping it for two weeks and charging me 375 bucks they said... nothing was wrong with it... they changed the transmission fluid and that was it because I thought I blew the tranny when it died the last time but nope it was FINE!!! Three days later guess whatttt... it dies again... this time costing me anotherrr 370 bucks to get it towed because i wasnt in a "safe area" according to the cop so it was towed on my expense... so now a month later I'm picking it up from a real reputable mechanic shop 1400 more dollars later because the brain box was dead!!!!! bought a car 1 month ago, it has been in and out of their shop multiple time for the same issue, no staff will return my calls aside from the mechanic (Jim) who went above and beyond to help me out. I cannot say enough good things about the mechanic. However the rest of the staff there is pretty awful. on top of this I traded in a vehicle that was then posted online having over 5,000 less miles than it had one month before I traded it in, so do be careful of working with these unhelpful and incompetent staff. read more

I needed a second car and went to The Car Guys. I have never purchased a used car and was some what apprehensive. That is until I spoke with Ryan. I saw a car that I liked and it was fairly price. I asked Ryan if I could test drive it and take it to my mechanic. He said yes and filled the gas tank for me. My mechanic put it on his lift and found it to be in mint condition. I purchased a 2010 Silverado The lady was super nice the guys were nice . That's where it ends I bought it last August 29th . I brought it back several time once for the door handle broken The second time was a drive shaft issue The third was a sensor I had my own mechanic repair . Six month warranty over now . The most recent problem is a low speed sensor . I have take it to a transmission place because the sensor is inside the transmission . This is now going to cost me $1,400 for that . They told me I need new brake pads and rotars . That's on top of the $1,400 I do not recommend ever buy a vehicle from them I went against my own better judgment. Worst dealer ship ever huge SCAM waited almost 2 weeks for my truck to get registered they are so stupid that they wrote that the sales tax would be included on the loan and some how messed that up and charged me for that now the lady who works there said they would over night me a $812 check and she said she was doing it right away through fedex called again today the son said that never happend nothing was sent out so now I have to drive up an hour to go personally get the check myself becasue I can't trust that they will actually send it do not recommend this company at all huge scam artists read more

They offer a no pressure environment, with no gimmicks like you deal with at the other dealerships. If you see a car advertised on their site, or Facebook page, it's actually, really, truly there! These folks take pride in their dealership and the vehicles they sell. They all go out of their way to make sure you are happy and well taken care of. I bought a used van here several weeks ago. When they showed me the van the salesperson said if there's any problem, just call us and we'll take care of it. I thought, right, I've heard that before. So when the van failed inspection I called. Bring it right in they said, so I did. They called me that evening at 7PM to tell me the failed part was replaced and I could come pick it up. Very prompt. So last week I went out to use it and none of the lights worked. Probably partly my fault for fooling around on the dashboard. but when I called, again, no questions, just bring it in.. They have their own mechanics, so I was there in half an hour, and they were expecting me. An hour later and a new light switch, and I was back on the road. Truly awesome. Both times no questions, no excuses, no hesitation. Just great service! And I do like the van and felt I got a good deal on it. read more

My husband drove two hours with our vehicle to trade in for the truck he purchased. They didn't want the trade so it came back. Had I been there he wouldn't have bought the truck. They sold it to him without giving him the title which took days to get to us. So we couldn't register and insure it. On top of that there were front end issues that cost us $500 in parts to fix just to get a sticker. My husband couldn't get a call back from the guy he delt with and was promised a call back numerous times from the office lady. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. CONSUMER BEWARE! This is a VERY shady operation. We found a truck listed for sale that we were very interested in. We rearranged schedules, enlisted family help, and drove 30 minutes to Hyannis (closer to 40 minutes with summer traffic). When we arrived, we were told that yes the truck was still for sale, but the owners had taken it to Boston. Huh? And they didn't drive their OWN vehicle because .... ??? This was relatively early in the day. We were told they were expected back, with the truck, around 3 and that we would be given a call when they confirmed their arrival. We waited. And waited. Finally around 2:30 we called and were told they weren't back yet, but we're still expected by 3. We spoke with our family member & we decided to take a ride back up. We get there around 3:30 and they aren't there. We are told "traffic is really bad." So, we go look at another vehicle and then come back. Finally around 4:30, they come back. They fly into the exit. We get out and go over to the truck. Two guys who are dressed like they've spent the day at the beach or an amusement park hop out and start pulling out all their GARBAGE out of the truck. Fast food bags. Wrappers. Trash. The floor is COVERED in sand and smashed up potato chips. I mean FILTHY. The driver has a fast food soda cup ON ITS SIDE on the SEAT just spilling out. There is a huge dent that isn't easily visible in the pictures in the ad unless you know to look for it - and it was NOT disclosed in the ad. We are DISGUSTED and walk away. As we're driving out, we see them pulling a BLUE RHINO GAS TANK from the back. CLEARLY they were NOT using the vehicle for a business trip to Boston as we were led to believe (which is shady enough!!), but rather, they were using a car they have listed for sale for camping or beaching or some other recreational activity! Completely disreputable!!! We are absolutely DISGUSTED by the lack of professionalism. Stay away!! CLEARLY you are NOT going to get what you THINK you're paying for at The Car Guys in Hyannis!! read more

Long story short, do not buy from The Car Guys Cape Cod. I drove 80+ miles and paid 5K in cash to get what I thought was a solid deal on a Volvo S80. The car failed and would not start within days of purchasing it. I thought their "so called" warranty would act as a safeguard for my purchase. I did not anticipate the car being unable to start less than a week after buying it. I was not near the dealer so per Ryan's suggestion I had the car towed to a mechanic near me. The mechanics attempted to diagnose the issues but were not able to get the Volvo running properly. As a result Ryan and I agreed that taking the Volvo to my local Volvo dealer Steingold Volvo would be the best solution at this point as neither of us wanted to have to pay an 80+ mile tow back to Cape Cod. The Volvo dealer in Pawtucket R.I. diagnosed the issues with the car and unequivocally stated that the issues with the car would have be clearly apparent to the dealer who just sold me the car two weeks ago. The car needed a new battery, a power steering pump, a map sensor, and two additional repairs, among other things. I needed a car asap so I had this car repaired and paid the invoices myself with the understanding that per Ryan once I forwarded the invoices the "warranty" company he uses would likely be able to help pay for some of the the repair cost and parts. Its been a month since I sent those invoices via email to the owners Ryan and Casey. I've call and called and Ryan has NEVER called me back, and of course I still have yet to be reimbursed for the payments I made. I decided to report this to the BBB today when I called twice and was forwarded to voicemail, but when I called on a different number the receptionist answered the phone right away. The only thing worse than the car when I bought it was the customer service and the owner Ryan DeVincent's repeated arrogant, condescending, deceitful conversation after conversation regarding what it would take to get it fixed, how he has a A+ BBB rating, and how I could get money returned to me from a mystery warranty that a month later he won't even take my calls or call me back to discuss. I would never recommend The Car Guys to anyone! My son bought his first truck there a few months ago and it was a lemon! It didn't even pass inspection 4 days after he bought it. In one month, he had to go back there 6 times to get things fixed. One of the times, it was on the verge of being towed from Falmouth to Hyannis because of a bad axel. On there behalf, they did fix the problems immediately but I guess its because they had to? I should've stuck to my instinct and talked him into giving it back when he had the chance. It was things like the check engine light on, two seat belts wouldn't work, the window wouldn't go up, a bad axel, the speakers were blown and they kept telling him it was all little things that could easily be fixed. Even if that is the case, when you buy a truck for that amount of money you shouldn't have to keep coming back to get it fixed within the first month!! It has since been 3 months and he has been away at school. He came home for a weekend and yet another thing is wrong with it. I called them hoping they could rectify the situation and get it in there to be fixed before he had to head back to school. I guess since it was after the "30 day" warranty, we were not their problem anymore and we didn't matter. I called first thing in the morning and was asked my name and number and was told someone would call me right back. I called back in the middle of the day and spoke with someone else who asked for my name and phone number and was told they would call me right back. I called once again right before they closed and yet again, the same thing. Three calls, 3 different people, 3 times of hearing we'll call you right back. It's two days later and still no call from any of them. Very unprofessional!!!! They got over on us with this truck, but I will never let it happen again with them!! I will make sure my family and friends know to shop elsewhere!!!! read more

As soon as I walked in the door and spoke with Janet I decided my car searching ends here with The Car Guys. They listened to what I wanted and needed and fulfilled it all. They found me the perfect car for my style, my commute to work and for my 3 kids to have enough personal space for a nice quiet and peaceful drive, "Mom's you know the headache of kids in a cramped car!" They made me feel at home and that I was just doing business with family! And the car buying process was so fast and uncomplicated because they did everything for me. They explained the entire process and were on point with dollar amounts discussed and there weren't any pop up fees or surprises at the end! I had an unforeseen issue at the DMV and they went above and beyond to get my issue taken care of for me, to me that shows a lot of integrity and heart. with that being said, I implore you to go see The Car Guys if you want honest service with an easy and memorable car buying experience, but if you like doing all the running around yourself, being looked at as a commission with mediocre service and not so good surprises with added fees, go elsewhere because you will not find that at The Car Guys! So I went to try and trade my truck to them and buy one of there trucks with cash on top of my trade. The lady was very nice and helpful but I had to wait for the owner to call me so I left my name and number. No call within a week (she said they would call tomorrow) I go back two weeks later and same deal. I call again and they say come by at a certain time so they know they will be there go look at it. I leave work early to show them and he is not there. So I call again the next day to ask what the issue was and he says he was there which is bull. Then finally I was in my way to hyannis and figured I would stop by. They look at it and tell me to sell it on my own and the reason they didn't call back was because they couldn't offer me what I wanted. Why wouldn't you just tell me that a month ago. Why waist my time and not tell me how it is. I ended up not buying one of there shitty trucks and got a newer one instead. My girlfriend bought an SUV from them and a month after the engine went due to there poor mechanic installing parts on the engine in a lazy way and doing it wrong. There was a huge hole in the manifold and they ghetto filled it and it flew out. Car was very dirty and the air filter had a large nest in it. Why not check that before you sell the car it takes 10 seconds? She went in to see if they could do anything and they said they would call back. But as any shady bad business they didn't even call back and say I'm sorry to hear that but we can't help instead they refuse to even call back even if they can't do anything. If you spend 6k on a car don't you hope that it'll last for more then a month? Car also had 2 blown shocks and all bald tires. And a cracked windshield but they said your insurance will cover it its not worth us replacing it. Fuck these guys and there shady typical willow street crap vehicles. Very classy working out of a trailer and a car wash. If you plan on buying something here I hope you think twice before you do unless you want a crappy experience and an expensive piece of lawn furniture. I'm sure not every vehical is this bad but they clearly don't check them and will sell anything that they can make $5 on so it's not worth the headache. read more
