We pulled off the side of the road, this had nothing to do with my small under oil leak recently found. I lifted up my car hood and there was NO OIL CAP. They Failed to do SIMPLE QUALITY CONTROL on a oil change!!! Do we had dinner plans to go to Portland for dinner, if I would have drove my car and that far it would have thrown a rod in my motor!!!! They made it right, but we lost out on Valentine's Day Dinner!! We could have totally thrown a rod in the motor and my car would have required a $6000+ motor replacement just not taking QC inspection on a simple F@cking oil change! They towed my car to the shop, offered a rental car, did a complete new oil change and had to buy me a new oil cap. QUALITY CONTROL, if you want my business. You almost costed me my car motor over a simple F@CKING OIL CHANGE!!! I am still , but at least they fixed it, but it shouldn't have been that stupid mistake in the first place!!!! Quality Control PEOPLE! I don't have money to replace a motor, that is why I was doing preventative maintenance. Your other business Esty's, which is owned by the same owner has been great, but you need to step it back up ARTs!!!!

There were children in both vehicle, a baby even. I left them a review on Facebook and my review was the newest one in YEARS and they blocked me so that says A LOT about the type of people and business they are. Even after paying for everything they still were trying to charge me an extra $500 for a hose that did NOT need replacing...turned out one of their employees spilled fluid and that was all. As for my brakes failing Im beyond disgusted with this business and their behavior towards the community they serve.

And let me tell you, the prices they are charging for parts alone are up to FIVE TIMES what the parts cost. And their "labor cost" is pretty outrageous for some of the simple things they say need done. I got my thousands of dollars quote and compared their parts costs to actual auto store quotes of the same exact parts and this place is charging triple to 5x the cost! For every single part needed. They never did complete the "free inspection" they offered me (I paid them $150ish for them to slap me with their outrageous quote so I wouldn't quite call the inspection free), even after keeping my car for multiple days and saying they would do it. Another disappointment. All in all a pretty bad experience.

Two very kind gentlemen stopped and helped us push it to the side of the road. Then one of them gave us a ride to Kalama Auto Supply. Troy, the owner, was exceptional. He was able to diagnose the problem, acquire the parts and install the new alternator by the next day and we picked it up the following morning. The price was extremely reasonable. He also helped us with getting a tow truck, directing us to an outstanding car rental and his bookkeeper was kind enough to drive us a fair distance to the agency! If we lived closer to Kalama, we would use this repair shop exclusively. They have certainly earned our trust and gratitude.

There, on the side of the road, we found coolant pouring out from the bottom of the radiator. Nearby we stopped at a truck stop/gas station to ask about a nearby repair shop before all the fluid was gone and we'd have to be towed. We were told about Kalama Auto Supply and Repair that was only a couple of miles away. We drove cautiously to the shop only to find them closed for the holiday. We decided to leave our vehicle at the shop, write them a note detailing our issues, leave the key in the drop slot and arrange for a ride share to pick us up to take us the rest of the way into Portland. There was a lot of uncertainty in this decision! However, the next morning (Tuesday), we received a call from the shop that put all of our fears at ease. We were told what the likely extent of the damages were, what the estimated cost of repairs would be, that the parts could be obtained and the repairs could likely be completed by end of business Thursday. This was fabulous news since our hotel reservations had us departing Portland on Thursday. True to their word, at about noon on Thursday, we were informed that the repairs were completed. This was very happy news for us! While the damage sustained was unfortunate, our experience with Kalama Auto Supply was the best! If you are in or near the area, and need your car serviced or repaired, these guys are awesome!
