Here is my experience at Ballarrinas --- and yes that's how it's spelled. They don't serve alcohol, so dancers don't have to be 21, but few are actually younger than that. No filming with cell phones allowed either. Thank God. The ladies are gorgeous, except now and then one or two show up who seem out of place. They speak flawless English, move in elegant ways, and know how to carry a conversation. I'd say about half are local and half are recent imports from the mainland. The main stage usually has two dancers at any time of the night. Customers sit so close to the stage they have no choice but to watch and tip, while music is blaring down on them. On a regular night, the club has about ten dancers working. You'll see amazing bodies ('Foreign' and her friend Emily come to mind), tattoos that are pure art ('Asian Doll'), smiles and looks that you will remember (Lia and Jinx), and the rest I leave to your imagination. Some of the girls will incorporate a few pole dancing moves, but the room isn't really high enough for major acrobatics. I don't think all of them can actually dance, but no matter how gorgeous, they bare it all in front of strangers. Some dance enthusiastically, others seem rather bored. In my humble opinion, Jinx delivers the best striptease. But, hey, feel free to nominate others. In between sets of songs, the girls go around for 1-minute conversations asking for lap dances. Unfortunately sometimes the music is so freaking loud it's difficult to understand much. The lap dances are pricey. Plan on spending $100. Some will give you a go for less, but you also get less. Don't use the ATMs in the club. They are crappy and add a transaction fee. The booths are also quieter than the main stage, so one can actually have a conversation, sort of. What you get during a lap dance varies greatly. Most are awesome. One involved a hand stand. Another ended with her saying: "I know. I'm such a freak." The best lap dances I've had are from Mia, Indigo, and Kiko. The worst was from an absolutely stunning young caucasian lady named Myra. The ladies spend most of their time on the fringes of the room waiting for their turn to dance, which seems like a waste of their time. I'd love to talk to them over a cup of kava. If I could change one thing about this club it's to create more opportunities for conversation. As with most local small businesses, the impact of compliance with haphazardly issued State and Local government Covid-19 restrictions in Hawaii has been devastating. Glad the doors to this place reopened in time for me to celebrate my birthday. I went solo, as usual, and after showing my vaccination card, ID, having my temperature checked and paying my entry fee, I was wanded by Security, then an escort came down to usher me upstairs to the entertainment.
