The view is beautiful and even with a larger group, finding self-seating was surprisingly easy. I also liked how simple it was to pay individually through the QR code system, which made splitting the bill hassle-free for everyone. I spent around $80 for 3 drinks, an appetizer, and an entree, which felt pretty reasonable for the location and atmosphere. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food I ordered just wasn't really for my liking. I'd still come back though because the vibe, service setup, and scenery made it worth visiting, and I'd like to try different menu items next time. read more

This Ballast Point in Long Beach has a great view of the waters and great food. I came for a Saturday lunch and it was extremely packed. Although the parking lot is big, it was difficult finding a spot. Inside is huge. There's outdoor seating, upstairs, in doors in the first floor. However, because of how crowded it was, finding a good spot was also tricky. Patients is virtue! For food, I tried the pastrami fries, flatbread pizza, and Cobb salad. They did a great job on these items and the portions were notable. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Ballast Point. I hope they accept reservations for smaller parties in the future. One of my favorite breweries because this one has food!!!! I will admit that the wait to get a table is LONG; you do want to come in expect to wait about 30 minutes or sit at the bar until a table opens. I always sit at the bar and then switch to a table by the windows. It's open seating so if you're waiting at the bar close out as you go so you can leave when you see an open table. They have a good selection of beers; sours, IPA, fruity beers, stouts, and light beers. You will find something and if you don't like beer, they have cocktails too! I believe they're rice wine but honestly they taste great (last visit I had the horchata cocktail and it was splendid and delicious). I absolutely love coming here because the windows show the shore and the boats are riding around; this time we got to see all the Christmas boats with their lights it was a beautiful little Christmas water parade! You have to order through a QR code so not the best for people who prefer menus but I'm a millennial so I'm on my phone regardless, so I don't mind. We got the nachos and wings which were both delicious; they come with a cheese sauce which is way better in my opinion than a little sprinkled cheese ontop, since you can scoop the sauce with your chip making it extra creamy and flavorful for every bite rather than dry cheese ontop. Breweries are known for being pet friendly and I have never encountered ANY establishment with an outdoor patio that doesn't allow pets so this is definite hell nah for us. We came here while we waited for our hydrobike time slot. They have lots of seating indoors and outdoors. they also have a second floor with additional seating. It is right next to the water so you can enjoy a view. I only had time to order their fries, which were super thick, yummy, and oily!! This time I tried a blackberry cider. I ordered a lettuce wrapped burger and a side salad. The cider was a strong one, so served in a goblet instead of a pint. Very refreshing, and I appreciate having a non-beer choice on draft. Burgers! Looking good! However, looks can be deceiving. This was the blandest most unseasoned and boring cheeseburger I have ever encountered. I appreciate they included the burger sauce on the side, which often isn't provided at all on a lettuce wrap. But frankly it didn't help, and I found the meat itself to be packed densely and pretty chewy. Left much of the meat behind. Husband didn't finish his either. At least the fries were good (battered and seasoned maybe?) and the side salad was fresh and large. And there was a really good pickle wedge. Okay I had the watermelon drink that's made with wine. I wasn't in the mood for a beer. Oh my gosh - it was so tasty!!! This will be my go to every time I come. It tasted like a refreshing watermelon jolly rancher but not too sweet. Also they reallyyyy have stepped up their food here. I remember when the food was pretty lacking but we got quite a few things and they were all good. I really liked the Caesar salad! It had the right crunch, right amount of cheese and the dressing was good. We also got the fish and chips and the fries were perfect. They were crispy on the outside and soft potato-y inside with the garlic and Parmesan. My company reserved the Dorado deck for our Christmas party on 12/10/25 and I was shocked at how great everything turned out. The service was outstanding, the food options were so good every item ran out in mins which forced the chefs in the kitchen to make more food quicker than expected. From beef & chicken skewers, veggie cups with delicious ranch, to flat breads with a great balsamic drizzle, cheeseburger sliders, taquitos with tasty mango salsa, and awesome giant wings, our whole staff was happy. Fish and chips: Solid Lobster roll: too heavy on the dressing Extensive beer menu and you can get 16oz, 8oz or 4 oz pour. They don't have a flight option so this is the closest you can do. Overall, typical brewery food, but because of the combination of poor service and lack of beer flights, I would check out another brewery before returning. read more

After doing some waterbiking I could not wait to have a cold beer and some grub and Ballast point was right there so how could I not? Things just got worse and worse the longer I was there and each time I asked for anything and it was frustrating. So they have a hellova lot of beer but rhe one beer I asked for they didn't have. Ok I guess ill settle for something else. Then I asked for some wings, I was told they didnt have any. In my mind I could taste wings but I settled for a burger which was actually delicious. The fries.... meh. Then there was another drink I asked for and they didn't have that so I had to choose another. Thank you to the waiting/bartender cuz she was dealing with the hand she was dealt and was really nice. So almost every brewery I go to I love it when they have merch but I hate it when they dont have my size. One of my first sit downs I went to arriving in Cali! My boyfriend told me a bit about it (while my other friends told me of the one in San Diego..!). We went on a weekend evening and it was packed, from the parking lot to inside, as anyone would expect. The outside views and amenities make it worth spending time there, while the ambiance inside is bustling yet casual, with all the patrons doing their own thing. Theres a host in the front who lets us know we can seat ourselves when we find a table and to scan codes and make our order. Once completed, the servers will come out with your drinks and food. Although it took a long while (as expected), the food was phenomenal. Although there were huge quantities of people, the flavor & quality of our dinners didnt seem to be affected by the slightest. Upon arrival you can choose a table of your liking scan the QR code, order from the app, pay and just await 'till all the good stuff is promptly delivered to your table. So convenient no waiting times, no delays, just straight forward and with a view. We ordered calamari and fish and chips. We loved the calamari so much but would skip on the Fish & Chips next time. Would love to come back and have lunch on the upper deck with some shade.
