This was my first time coming to Ballast Point, and I had a blast. I went with my wife to watch some of the World Cup games, and the vibe was amazing! TVs in every corner, great views, and tasty food. The ordering setup was very unique. The whole place is open seating, and once you find a table, you scan the QR code located on it to start ordering your food and drinks. Food and beverages arrived within minutes of ordering. Overall, we had an excellent time, and I will definitely be coming back soon.

It was my first time at Ballast and the beer was excellent but after a couple of beers, these fries and wings hit so different. They were crispy but not dry. Love this place!

This Ballast Point in Long Beach has a great view of the waters and great food. I came for a Saturday lunch and it was extremely packed. Although the parking lot is big, it was difficult finding a spot. Inside is huge. There's outdoor seating, upstairs, in doors in the first floor. However, because of how crowded it was, finding a good spot was also tricky. Patients is virtue! For food, I tried the pastrami fries, flatbread pizza, and Cobb salad. They did a great job on these items and the portions were notable. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Ballast Point. I hope they accept reservations for smaller parties in the future. I'd come back.

came here for a friend's birthday and they have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, but parking can get scarce, especially in the evening! i have to say their patio is definitely a whole vibe though with the views of the water and fireplaces. they even had a dj playing on the top floor on saturday when we went. even with our large party, service was always nice and welcoming. drinks were good and they have a wide variety. the food we ordered were pretty good as well. everything came out fresh in about 15-20 minutes. it's a great, casual place to hang with friends.

Good views Sh*tty IPA Personally I didn't like the bitterness from the Pineapple IPA I approve of the watermelon Dorado...but just a tad bit

Vibes: Chill, classy, great views Crowd: Surprisingly reasonable on a Friday evening Menu: lots of brew/bar food options Value for price: 5/5, good food flavors and nice beer prices Service: 5/5, friendly and quick Parking: plenty, private lot My friend and I met up at Ballast Point on a Friday afternoon for drinks/food. For such a lovely day, there was a surprisingly small crowd, and we had open pick of indoor seating (which has a view of the lake/sunset) and two levels of outdoor seating. We sat up top at a 2-person tall table with a spectacular sunset view. Lots of people were here on dates- great casual place to chat for extended periods of time. I had an IPA (I'm sorry I forgot which brew, but it was delicious) and my friend had a wine. Although there were water drops in her glass for some odd reason, both of us enjoyed our drinks. We shared the loaded pastrami fries (DELICIOUS, decadent treat with cubed flavorful pastrami), and each had the ahi poke bowl (generously portioned, lots of fish, sriracha mayo drizzle). They brought out heaters when it got cold. Highly recommend!

Great place to watch the sunset. Wall of glass is great. Views are so relaxing. Fantastic beer selections my go to is always a Hazy IPA also love a Black Marlin. Food is decent we live the Cauliflower tacos always on point. When ever the craving hits this is our go to place QR codes on the table make ordering fast and simple. Staff is friendly and the vibe is pretty cool. Music is current and a mix of styles. Young old all types of folks here.

Such a beautiful sight to see while drinking. They offer an outside patio, inside seating, and it's two stories. The food and drinks are all ordered from a QR code taking a little away from the service opportunity however our time there was beautiful. They had tvs to watch games and the location was clean. The only sad part was that 75% of the drinks were sold out come mid week.

Bring your out of town ppl here! The views are spectacular! We visited on a Friday around 5pm and it wasn't super crowded. Walk in, find a spot, scan the code, and start your order online and they bring your food to you. Hubby had the pastrami burger and I had the poke bowl. He had their beer on tap and I had a Hawaiian Mai tai. We were celebrating an early Mother's Day. I had such a great time! The servers were friendly and quick. I highly recommend!

Visited Ballast Point Brewing Long Beach on a Saturday afternoon with a party of 10 and had a really good experience overall. The view is beautiful and even with a larger group, finding self-seating was surprisingly easy. I also liked how simple it was to pay individually through the QR code system, which made splitting the bill hassle-free for everyone. I spent around $80 for 3 drinks, an appetizer, and an entree, which felt pretty reasonable for the location and atmosphere. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food I ordered just wasn't really for my liking. I'd still come back though because the vibe, service setup, and scenery made it worth visiting, and I'd like to try different menu items next time.

The waterfront view is spectacular and is honestly the main reason to come here. We took a short stroll on the dock after dining here to take it all in. You can seat yourself wherever. Of course, most people go to the outdoor area with the nice view of the marina, so it can fill up quickly. Ordering is done via QR code. They have a good variety of craft beer to try. I'm not a big beer drinker, but I thought they were all good for what it's worth. As for the food, don't expect too much other than munchies to compliment the drinks. We shared the Ballast Point Wings and I ordered the Ballast Point Burger. The wings weren't the best and it really needed the sauces for added flavor. The burger was decent, but nothing special to justify the price. Overall, it's a fun environment to hang out with friends and have some drinks. Come for the drinks and view, just don't expect much from the food.

Amazing view. We get to find a table ourselves and we chose oceanview of course. Would have loved to sit either rooftop or outdoor, but forgot to bring a jacket. BUMMER... next time for sure since it is totally happening outside. The food was very tasty. I loved the steak nacho, it was fully loaded with everything. The fish n chips was not shabby at all. The fries were one of the better fries i have had. Service was great. Super attentive, super friendly. Highly recommend.

Training can be a little hectic some times when you're in the service industry and sometimes it can slow service down. Our server Ben was on it. We had the grilled artichoke, chicken piccata, and the cioppino. All very very delightful. During our dining experience I needed to use the restroom. The smell in their bathroom was amazing. Probably one of the best smelling restrooms I had ever. When I was leaving, I politely ask the hostess if she knew what the name of the smell was bc it was so awesome. She wasn't telling me the exact name. She essentially told me the essence. While in the middle of her talking, a female manager aggressively told us that they were not aloud to tell patrons the scent. Hey, I get it, but as a person who was a manager for one of the highest ranking upscale casual dining restaurants, who has worked in 5 star resorts, knowing how to provide kindness to both guests and staff, this manager did not present those skills. This manager was quite frankly disrespectful not only to her staff, but to me. There is a way to handle situations without embarrassing your staff member and making them feel small and showcasing your flex of power to a diner who was about to drop hundreds for a dinner in our volatile economy. This manager did NOT handle this appropriately. Like i said, she was rude, extremely aggressive to respond, and not once smiled and said, "I'm so glad you love it. It's our secret to get you to come back." She did try to say it was a secret, but seriously... with the way she treated her staff.... I think she better focus on hospitality rather than the scent in the bathroom. After this interaction, I actually watched and observed the manager during the remaining time of our dinner. I wanted to see how she interacted with her staff. I wanted to see if she knew how to manage without flexing on her staff bc obviously she doesn't know that words matter and what you say and how you say it can make or break your staff's entire night which can reflect on how they treat their guests. I get this is lengthy over a restroom scent, but as a person who thrives on seeing the beauty in how a management team can make a huge impact on the success of a company, if she's openly rude and aggressive to me and her hostess, how is she with the rest of the staff and guests? Just a little food for thought. I will say, that interaction totally changed my view for the remaining time of our dinner. I truly hope that the female manager who was working last night June 1 reads this and changes the way she handles situations. From what I saw and experienced, she needs to take a step back and regroup. She needs to be retrained on how to treat her staff, how to smile with kindness, and how to kindly make a joke about the scent kindly with laughter rather than an attack on her staff. To the hostess: I'm sorry you had to be treated that way. You were incredibly kind from upon greeting us even to the very end. You're awesome. I'll return back, but I do hope next time, the manager from last night is on a better wave length as the people who help create her position. There are a lot of great managers out there willing to take that place.

We overtipped, to probably compensate for our last visit. However, the new kitchen manager has clearly changed the calamari (10/10 before, 3/10 now, to the point I felt embarrassed that I'd waxed poetic about it to my out of town guests, who didn't have more than a few pieces, and the ones I ate were just to kind of toe a line), and this is pedantic, but sesame buns for the sliders was a weird choice. So they're no longer on my shitlist, but I do think I'm going to need to try different go-tos. I'm almost scared to try the tuna tartare (my other go to) after the change in the calamari and sliders. I really so desperately urge management to bring back the former chef, because the current one really seems to expending the least effort possible. And for the record, there was a "specials" slip left on our table, with one of the items noted as "sold out." On a Monday, by 5p. Something is going wrong here. I'm going to try yet again, but the changes that have thus far been made absolutely suck. Ambiance still a 10/10.
