Great location to catch some savory food and a nice ocean breeze. Our main server was very friendly and helpful. We tried the volcano momo, butter chicken, ctm chicken, veggie samosas, and the tandoori chicken. All were soo delicious. You can literally smell the food from the parking lot. Drink selection is nice. You can choose from lager, pilsner, ipa....or simply a classic mango lassi. Parking is ample as this is a private court area right of PCH. My only suggestion is that the volcano momo should be redesigned. The flame is too big for the silver platter and it can cause things/people to get burned if not careful. read more

Delicious food. Everything was good, but favorites that really stood out were the chicken lollipop and lamb masala. The sauce that came with the lollipop chicken really complimented it well. First time here last night and the food was so unbelievably good! I was excited to try it after having just visited Nepal a few months ago. The food here is VERY authentic compared to what I ate in Nepal, and even possibly better! They have some great super authentic Nepali options on the menu that I have not seen offered in other Nepali restaurants. The veggie momos are probably the best ones I've ever had in the US! Texture and flavor of the filling was 10/10. Also served with an unbelievably tasty dipping sauce. My Chana masala was also outstanding; the sauce had the perfect rich flavor, creamy texture, and amount of spice. Even the rice was flavorful, delicious, and had a perfect fluffy fresh consistency. If I'm eating basmati rice straight out of the bowl you know this place is legit. Service was great and friendly, and loved the cute boat shaped dishes as well. We will definitely be back. read more

November 2025: Nice changes since my last visit nearly 2 years ago. Updated sturdy tables with an upgraded table setup to cloth napkins, etc. Note, if coming from the main parking lot, the restaurant might appear closed at night as one can barely see any lights. The entrance is down a hallway. We checked out the Chicken Vindaloo with a spice level of 7 out of 9. Will have to take that down a notch as it just made us instantly sweat. Very tasty but could use more protein. My dining companion felt like we got more potatoes than chicken. We also check out the Lamb Chau Chau which didn't make us sweat and I like the dry noodles. Lamb pieces tasty but again, not plentiful. I'll be back. Decent prices. Great location, plenty of parking, good service. read more

This has become my new Go-To restaurant if I want to impress someone, or don't want to risk trying somewhere new and want to KNOW I'm going to have an amazing meal. They have the trio of flavorings on the table already out- The mint, the pickled items, and the tamarind-esque sauce. They give you papadams for the table once you get settled which is SO nice, I've never been anywhere else that does it. Order anything, it doesn't matter you will enjoy it. But some of our favorites are the lamb korma, butter chicken, and the palak paneer. Additionally, their mango lassi is great, and they serve ICED chai which I've also never had except here. One of my top 5 favorite restaurants. Everything you can order here is delicious and made with so much love. Order a coconut water? It comes out IN a coconut! Want some naan to go with your meal? Not only are there lots of flavors, it'll come out fresh out the oven and practically melt in your mouth. Even the kids meal fries are phenomenal!! Most restaurants focus mostly on the entrees (which are also fantastic btw), but no detail goes without being treated with the utmost care at this place. (As a side tangent, do yourself a favor and try one of their Indian beers. It pairs SO well with the food and I had no idea Indian beer was so delicious before coming to this restaurant. My favorite is the Old Monk). The service is also amazing, everyone is so friendly and it seems like everyone who works the front end checks in on you, not just your waiter. You can tell they all have a lot of pride in this establishment and we as the customers get treated like royalty because of it! The restaurant itself is very nice, but we always eat outside, you can't beat the ocean breeze and the view of the marina. All-in-all this place is just so so so good. Great Indian Food and the waterside view is a bonus! We started with the vegetable samosas and the pastry was crispy without being tough and the filling was very flavorful. For our mains, we selected the Tibetan Lamb platter and Nervana Chicken with Pilau rice and 2 types of naan. The lamb platter came sizzling to the table over a bed of roasted onions, cauliflower and broccoli. It was so delicious and the lamb was really tender. The chicken Nervana was excellent as well and the creamy sauce had coconut and a delightful flavor profile. The Naan was very hot and the perfect texture to pick up that wonderful sauce. For a nightcap we ended our meal with a cup of chai tea and it tasted so good in a cold, rainy day. I could taste the orange water and other spices. This place is top notch for flavor, service, and ambiance. Frank was amazing at explaining the dishes as we are somewhat new to the flavors of Nepali cuisine. My husband said the lobster was the most flavorful he's ever had. My 8yr old son said the chicken tikka masala was so delicious. We also had the chicken chau chau, butter chicken, chicken lollipops, and chicken biriyani and ate it with the garlic naan. There was nothing we didn't like. It was all delicious and these days, it's rare when you go to a restaurant and everything is delicious. Don't skip out on this place! You won't regret it! read more

It's been fairly hard to find good momos in Orange County and then we discovered Himalayan Grill. This was our second visit this month. Okay, so! What did we order. I love the vegetarian combo for two as a base layer. You get samosas, naan, dal, korma and saag paneer. Plus this rich luscious ice cold kheer for dessert. Then you have to add on momos. Obviously. We have been really enjoying the chicken ones but there's about a dozen varieties. The butter chicken here is also excellent. The star tho, other than the momos, is their tandoori. The hot plates come out sizzling and absolutely drenching the place of delicious smells and spices. We also enjoy the ambiance. It's lovely to have some outside seating on the water. A gorgeous spot for date night. The icing on this cake is the friendly helpful staff. Our server, Amrita who moved here a year ago from Nepal, is a shining star. Still the best Indian food around. Bengan Barta and Tikka Masala are awesome (for me, that's kinda like testing a pepperoni pizza at a pizza place) Vindaloo is also awesome. It's spicy but the other spices and ginger still shine. I've never been impressed by vindaloo before here (Other places were just whatever meat hidden under hot peppers and potatoes) Chau chau is all good Samosas are excellent (maybe the make them here) Madras curry is good Maybe there is a better Indian Restaurant in Tustin or in Cerritos, but I haven't found any that are still open. My weekly lunch buddy and I landed here this lunchtime. I had noticed it in Peter's Landing on my way up to Seal Beach. I was intrigued by the name and when I mentioned it to JP he said "it is one of our favorites ". I love the location, right in the Marina, looking out on the moored pleasure craft. The restaurant itself is light and bright and high-ceilings. The menu was fairly typical for South Asian food, and I was looking forward to having my sinuses cleaned out by powerful curries and spice. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful and we selected the lamb curry for me, and the beef for JP. The platters were visually beautiful, but totally lacking in heat or spice. The lamb was delicious and perfectly stewed but I tasted no curry at all. I am still giving this restaurant 5 stars. The view, the service, the ambiance, the beauty of the presentation. It is not as though there are plenty of actual Himalayans looking for the taste of their homeland to keep the shop afloat, when most of their customers in Sunset Beach are plenty white! read more

Came here on a Friday night date night with my husband and left feeling like I was lied to. First, the service was extremely slow. While the waiter was nice, the pacing of the food was terrible. We waited almost 45 minutes between the appetizer and 1 of our main courses arriving. The first main course was the chicken tikka masala, which was actually delicious. However, they forgot our garlic naan and it didn't come for almost 20 more minutes -- at which point we were done with the masala. They also brought out our second main, the "shrimp special" with the garlic naan. The shrimp special is supposed to be served on a sizzling plate with sizzling veggies. It was NOT served on a sizzling plate, and the shrimp and veggies were cold. This was $25 before taxes btw. I asked the waiter what happened and he gaslit me by saying they ran out of sizzling plates. This wasn't true because I saw them bring sizzling plates out to other people right after our plate. I told him he should've told me they couldn't do it because I would've ordered something else. He gave us a free dessert to apologize, but tbh I felt they should've taken the shrimp off the bill which they did not do. My husband also had a Diet Coke that was warm and flat. It seemed to have been sitting out for a long time. Very bad experience for not so cheap prices. The plates that are at the table when you first sit were not clean, and I had to switch it with the one on the empty table next to me. I would not come back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place has been around for nearly 20 years, and we hope they remain for so many more! In fact, it's so delicious, Mike Tyson's visited this place, and his picture's on the wall! Enough about Mike, let's get onto the restaurant itself. They moved to a new location a few years ago, and it's in a nice plaza with great decor on the walls! Very mindful, and even more demure! The restaurant rests on the marina, so you can stare out at the water while you're eating! Kathryn's back for some wacky culinary shenanigans! They give you these little dough chips with assorted chutneys to whet your appetite! Salty, sweet, spicy, all of the food groups! (awkward pause) Now, we ordered quite a bit of food. First, the chicken chili momo, which are dumplings, but fried and mixed with a chili sauce! Mm-mmm! Crispy, juicy, nummy, and yummy! Of course, we got some amazing mains too! Something non-negotiable is the butter chicken! Silky smooth gravy and chicken chunks. Wow wow wow. Please give this a try, guys. The shahi paneer was next, which is an onion-based curry with cubes of cheese. The texture is so bouncy and has a great satisfying bite! Eat it with some garlic naan instead of rice to change it up a little! Well...the garlic naan is also kind of non-negotiable, so get it too! Our last dish was the saag aloo: Potatoes in shredded spinach. This stuff is so earthy and flavorful. Who doesn't like potatoes?
