Great place to take your dog. This park has a separate areas for smaller dogs. The trail and the creek down behind the park are great places to visit as well; be forewarned that there may be dogs off leash in that area. read more

The largest dog park I have found in frederick so far. Four dog parks in one.two all parks one medium dog park and one small dog park for those little guys 25 pounds or less. Not the best drainage. After it rains if it's not hot can take two to three days for the mud to dry up. Lots of dogs and a large area for dogs to go off leash. My little pup loves this dog park! There are 4 different sections, 2 for all dogs, 1 for dogs under 25lbs and 1 for dogs under 40lbs. All of the sections have their own water fountains, poop bags and trashcans. Our dog loves going to the park and has so much fun playing with the other dogs. We have never had an issue, most of the issues between dogs is easy to avoid especially if all owners are paying attention and watching their dogs play. Of course certain hours of the day is more crowded than other times but its a great place to get your dog out and socialized! read more

Best dog park I have ever been to with 4 different actual dog parks. There are woods, shade, benches, etc.. I would think one of the sections would fit the needs of all dogs that visit. There is also a creek and walking trail nearby and a playground so I'm sure the park could be a full family affair. read more

We, Ranger and Molly, rate this park 4 paws out of five. There were fresh water fountain dog bowls to drink from, sunny and shady spots to run and chase our new friends, and responsible and very friendly humans who watched to make sure we were all safe. Mom and Dad talked to the other parents as they all watched us play. We left the dog park area and headed for the creek. I loved it, but Molly, my sister was more interested in sniffing what was moving in the bushes. So we would dry off, Mom and Dad took us to walk on the mowed trails. Since we now know to come when called, Mom and Dad let us explore about twenty feet ahead. The trails were great for sniffing many new places. This was our first time at Ballenger Creek park. Mom and Dad said we will definitely be back. read more

I love this dog park. It is large and gives my dog plenty of space to run around and burn up all that energy. I read a few of the reviews, and what was said isn't entirely incorrect, but that's not on the dog park, that is on the dog OWNER. This is a beautiful park surrounded by town home communities that do not have yards. As you can imagine, it gets BUSY. Any time there is 15-20 dogs there you have to be on high alert. Use common sense, if things seems to be getting too hectic, leave. I have never been to this dog park and witness people "not paying attention" to their dogs. I follow my guy around like an over-protective parent. There are times when certain dogs that visit give me the "ut-oh" feeling... and every single time we just leave if that happens. 9/10 times we visit we'll spend an hour there and have a blast. It is awesome socialization for dogs and a true asset to our community. read more

Nice huge area and we like how they have separate areas for different size dogs but there are too many aggressive dogs there. Our dog was bit and injured by another dog during our second visit. The first visit was fine. I guess it's a crap shoot if it's safe there or not. We were told of another incident of another dog injury while we were trying to clean up our dogs bloody face. I suggest the smaller dog park by Baker Park. We've been there many times and have never had any issues. My suggestion for any dog park...if your dog has ANY aggression issues (toys, food/water bowls), DON'T TAKE HIM/HER TO A PUBLIC DOG PARK!!! read more

Been here two times- the first was okay, the second not so much. First, they normally only one side of the park open, not both small areas and not both large areas. My dog got lunged at by another dog while entering so we decided to walk the path. After someone yelled "your dog is too big to be in here" okay, he is a Great Dane but there is a "large" dog area for a reason. We went on about our business and walked the path, another dog came without a leash and nipped our dog. Had that dog been on a leash it wouldn't have happened. We might be back, might not read more

1st visit to the Ballenger Creek Dog Park this evening. My two 8 month old pups LOVED it! Great place for them to burn off some of that puppy energy. The park is very well maintained and all of the other dogs were very well behaved. It was so nice to be able to let my dogs run off leash for a change. I will definitely go back! read more

The dog park is large and it has one side for large dogs and a separate side for puppies which is nice. We like our dog to experience socialization however there are too many dogs out there at times and yes, there are dogs that attack other dogs and their owners do nothing to stop it. I gave 3 stars because there is a nice little scenic walking trail nearby you can take the edge off after visiting the overcrowded dog park (maybe because of several large nearby townhouse communities. Baker Park dog park is much smaller, however less dogs go there and we have not experienced any dog attacks... Yes! read more

Great park! Large and with various large, fenced separate areas. Nearby are walking trails and a playground if you want to bring children also. It's clear a lot of effort is placed in keeping this park clean. There's a water fountain for the dogs and plenty of disposal bags and cans ... so pick up your dog's poop! read more
