What a beautiful and quaint venue with both inside and outside space. Located inside the Rancho San Rafael Park and bordering the Ranch House grounds is the Wilbur D. May Arboretum. There are multiple rooms with a kitchen and bar area. I noticed there was an upstairs available too. I was informed that the venue was inexpensive. If you want to have a sit-down meal the space is limited. The weather was nice which meant a lot of people took advantage and were seated outside in the courtyard. The full house not including the kitchen is $90.00 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a maximum of 150 people along with a $500 cleaning deposit which is refundable. There are multiple rooms inside along with a bar and a kitchen area. They have big refrigerators and a fair amount of space inside the kitchen. The courtyard is shaded and very comfortable, even in the summer. The best part I think is the access to the park. If you guests need to take a breather they can walk a couple of steps and be in the trees. Thumbs Up!

Both of them showed up (right on time!) and were so friendly and professional. They carried everything to the back yard. The equipement was all in good condition and attractive. They both came back the next day on time (texting me first), picked everything up and away they went. Great experience. I will rent with them again and keep watching their website for the further development of their venue, conveniently located next to the Atlantis.

I'm not big on the club scenes but I would say this is a good place for dancing because it has so much space. They only take cash on their cover charge and they do have access to an ATM. There is only street parking that I myself could find. The only think I didn't like was the MJ groups. But overall I enjoyed the experience. This museum is a hidden gem. They're constantly bringing new and exciting exhibitions to our…read morecommunity, specifically those that are geared towards our elementary aged kiddos, which I sincerely appreciate. Most recently we visited Toytopia. This exhibit offers the chance to explore a hands-on history of toys from the past and into the future. My kids loved the oversized robotic claw, reminiscent of an amped up arcade machine. It was a blast trying to get the individually articulating fingers to close around the ball in order to lift it into the basket for the big reward. We also enjoyed the oversized battleship game. So fun to play and we spent 20-30 min there. Mr Potato Head was old school fun too. We made a competition out of it to see who could make the wackiest example. I think I won... or maybe my kids let me win. But the favorite had to be the mini arcade they had setup with some of the best old school cabinets. Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Dig Dug and so many more are all here as part of the exhibit and you could spend a long time here without realizing it! Oh and there's even a Zoltar fortune teller too! When you're done at toytopia you can go learn the history of Wilbur D May on the other side of the museum. I might need to go back and make myself a full set! The staff was really nice and walked us through the whole process. Despite being a large party, the staff never rushed us, which was much appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience at The Hot Spot. Pricing was fair for what you get and there aren't any sitting fees, which was nice. If you plan on going, call ahead to reserve a table. I can't wait to go back!

The venue is beautiful! But the owner is a nightmare to deal with!! We met with her multiple times…read moreover 6 months and she took notes of everything we needed. 2 days before our wedding she decided she didnt want us to set up the night before as we previously agreed, she expected us to set up our wedding the morning of. After some arguing she let us. During the setting up of our wedding she didn't wanna give us the correct amount of chairs until my wife screamed at her an she finally got us what we needed! The night of the wedding we pretty much had the entire venue cleaned and when we returned in the morning she texted us that we broke the skirt off her door and it was making it very hard to open & close the door, but if you look at the door there was so much rust on the bottom which meant it was previously damaged. We knew she was gonna find some reason to keep our deposit.
