Word on the street was that Balloons By Court was an All Star of her trade. I reached out to Courtney to talk ideas. I really loved that Courtney would schedule time for me to call her and speak to her over the phone like people did decades ago. With our current digital way of life I wasn't willing to organize this difficult event over text or email. Speaking with Courtney allowed me the opportunity to trust her abilities and for me to explain what I was trying to create. The night of the surprise party we rolled into the restaurant a little after 6. The curtain was pulled and wow! Brought tears to my wife's eyes. Balloons By Court did an amazing job with the decorating. The posted pictures don't really capture the full experience of this room, however the cake table background and balloon arch was something out of this world. We're not talking about old school balloon bouquets, though they have their place. We're talking about sculptural, colorful installations that serve as great backdrops for photos and an eye-catching focal point for an event that can quite literally stop your guests in their tracks (in a good way)! That's exactly what the Balloons by Court installation did at my most recent event, Yelpstronomy. AND there are a ton of photos to show for it too! I was amazed at how efficiently and cleanly Court worked while installing the piece and how prompt she was to return to help with tearing it down. YES! They do that too! She worked with one other person and they were in and out quieter than a churchmouse. I was impressed from start to finish. Court helped me conceptualize the design, did a sight survey and worked with me to create a display that accomplished all my objectives and exceeded all my expectations. What a beautiful and quaint venue with both inside and outside space. Located inside the Rancho San Rafael Park and bordering the Ranch House grounds is the Wilbur D. May Arboretum. There are multiple rooms with a kitchen and bar area. I noticed there was an upstairs available too. I was informed that the venue was inexpensive. If you want to have a sit-down meal the space is limited. The weather was nice which meant a lot of people took advantage and were seated outside in the courtyard. The full house not including the kitchen is $90.00 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a maximum of 150 people along with a $500 cleaning deposit which is refundable. There are multiple rooms inside along with a bar and a kitchen area. They have big refrigerators and a fair amount of space inside the kitchen. The courtyard is shaded and very comfortable, even in the summer. The best part I think is the access to the park. If you guests need to take a breather they can walk a couple of steps and be in the trees. Thumbs Up!
