We had an emergency with our washer at home. While awaiting the repair of our washer, we visited early on a Sunday to get some loads cleaned. It was a warm day, and there were plenty of people. Even so, we were able to wash, dry and fold without any waiting times. They do have attendants and the place is very well maintained. We would definitely return if we were in a "pinch" or under different circumstances. read more

Valentine is very clean environment. Smells like laundry and not all hot and sweaty like other laundromats that I've been to. Valentine is in an area near some shops so if you don't want to wait, you can walk around a bit. Great area. Pretty lit. It is very unpleasant having to come to this laundromat all the time. The people who work here are always in a bad mood, they treat customers poorly, and they are always trying to close early. Last night I started washing my clothes at 7:40 pm. I went to the pharmacy to pick up some medicine and returned at 8:09 pm. When I came back, one of the workers--a short-haired woman wearing glasses--was already closing the laundromat. I asked her to give me my clothes because it was still not closing time (it was only 8:09 pm), but she refused. I explained that I had to go to the pharmacy, but she didn't care. She closed the place and left. This laundromat is not recommended because of the very poor customer service provided by the women who work there. They always want to leave early and are always angry. This feels like intimidation--my daughters are afraid to come here because of the way we are treated. Other customers also complain about the staff. I respectfully ask the owner of this laundromat to train the employees to be more respectful, smile, and treat customers better. Until then, it is very unpleasant to come here to do laundry. read more

The attendants are helpful and friendly. I needed help with a big washer and the lovely lady that helped me suggested a less expensive machine that was the right size for my big comforter. The only downside were three different customers talking on their phones with the speakers on and two kids playing video games with speakers on. It was too much and I left as soon as I could. Valentine laundry is the best laundry in the state of California. We have used laundry services up and down the state but have never had our clothes washed by more capable people like Karen, Patty, and Marcy. We asked them to "despot" our tee-shirts that had oil stains from a previous old washer laundry: Not expecting much, to our greatest surprise: When we cam to pick up our laundry, all the oil spots were removed. I came to this facility because another RV traveler had given it a good review. The facility was clean, the machines were working & reasonably priced. I had six loads of laundry to do, which got done & folded in 2.5 hours. The other customers were friendly & nice. Amazing! What went well? EVERYTHING! I am inclined to leave additional comments just short of 3 years past my original review on 6/27/2023. Revisiting Valentine Laundry yesterday was a reminder of the outstanding experience this establishment provides. Arriving soon after they opened, I had 8 loads of wash, and from the very start, I was greeted by Elle who assisted me with washers and good information. What establishment helps one save money? VALENTINE'S! Loading my washes in 2 areas of the Laundromat, I noticed the washers were clean, and every one of them was in working order. I also want to mention that the change machine was banked, easy to use, and dispensed the coins without hassle. There were several other men and women in various stages of wash and dry, and I am not exaggerating, every customer was buzzing around in a good mood! Sharing friendly greetings with each other, it occured to me, who really enjoys doing laundry? CUSTOMERS AT VALENTINES! Karen, the owner was there yesterday, and what a helpful delight she was!! She noticed that I wasn't in the peak of health, and was extremely helpful to me. How I appreciated that then, and looking back, even now. Thank you, Karen. Preferred laundromat. Not only is it clean and well maintained, but they have good music (love that all laundromats seem to play music for GenX), and they have machines that fit x4, x6, x8, and x12 loads. I brought huge comforters and rugs and stuff and didn't have to use the largest size. The x4 cost about $10 and change to wash and the x8 cost about $13 and change. They have nice tables to sit at and also have a free book area with lots of books. Additionally, they have an area where you can drop off and pick up laundry for them to do for you for a fee. They have machines that dispense soap and fabric softener boxes for $1.25 (supply for a single load). There's also a store around the corner walking distance. I liked this laundromat and even though it's a slight drive for us, we make the trek because it's worth it. read more

Left and went to a laundromat that accepts credit cards. If you're in a coin-operated laundry, then have a change machine that works!! So frustrating. read more

I've now been here three times, and overall, I like it and would recommend it. They keep it quite clean, and both the staff and the other customers that I've interacted with have all been reasonably friendly, respectful, and helpful. They're not jumping over each other to help, but if you need anything, just ask and they will take care of you promptly. (Frankly, the service feels a lot more genuine than in many modern establishments because there's no script that they're following, no rules about each customer being greeted withing 30 seconds of entering, etc... I hate the totally fake feeling that comes with all of that B.S.) I have two complaints. First, every machine takes ONLY quarters. When it can cost upwards of $10 for a load in the larger washers, that's more than a roll of quarters per load, just for the washer. I'm not complaining about the pricing -- I'm sure it's pretty comparable to other places in the area -- I'm complaining about HOW LONG it takes to put more than 40 quarters into a machine, especially one that's set to a very high standard of counterfeit detection. The first one I used last night rejected approximately 1/4 of my quarters on the first pass. Some quarters that I got out of the store's own change machine were never accepted, even after 4-5 attempts. Infuriating and time wasting. I'm all for ensuring that customers can continue to use cash if they desire, but how about getting a modern payment app that allows you to pay through your smart phone? I'm sure that the management doesn't want to give a payment processor a cut, plus it's currently an all-cash business, and an app would force them to report everything that gets processed that way, which would probably be 90 - 95% of the laundromat within days of installation. From my perspective, the fees are just the cost of doing business in the modern world, and I'd be willing to pay 25 cents more per load to make up for it. Beef #2: I will grant that we're in the midst of an epic heat wave at the moment, but they might as well not have any air conditioning at all for all the difference it made. It was insanely hot in there, and I truly feel for the employees. Some of them aren't so young, and it can't possibly be a good idea for them to be doing physical labor in those conditions. Give anyone over 55 paid time off for a few days, or change their job description to be less physically demanding until things cool off. And I sincerely hope that there's cool water available for them. The first time I went was during the winter, and it was still a little stickier inside than I would have liked. Even a few fans would probably help. read more
