Went here today to see a comedy show at the event center. The bar in front of the center was large and had friendly but busy staff. Was disappointed that the seats were literally folding chairs, put down so close together that everyone in the row had to get up if someone needed to use the bathroom. The drinks were expensive but the service was quick. Bathrooms are large and clean. Would go back but hope for more comfortable seating. read more

I made a cross-country trip to see my favorite band, Air Supply, play a concert in Rhode Island. A long day of travel but well worth it because this hotel and casino is AMAZING and the concert venue is gorgeous, all decked out for the Christmas holiday. The woman working the hotel front desk was so sweet, friendly, and funny and even told me she had seen the band members roaming around and I'd have a really good chance of seeing them. She got me set up with my room and off I went. My room was very nice and the bed was so comfy! A little high for this shorty but I made it work too. I ate at the food court during my stay and found good selections to choose from. The only thing that I didn't like was the casino being so smoky yet there's a smoke-free casino upstairs. It should all be smoke-free but that's just my two cents. I loved Rhode Island so much that I hope to go back again and enjoy a longer stay. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming! read more

We needed a room for one night in providence this place came up in a search and the price was good $100 for the night and it looked nice, great, booked it! I knew it said it was in a casino but no big deal it's just for one night. when we arrived we all laughed this is a HUGE casino! You have to walk thru the casino to get to the hotel and it was crazy in there! Lol!! Crazy lights flashing, people everywhere and shockingly, smoking inside! Thankfully the hotel is non smoking and didn't have that stale smoke smell, actually the hotel was quite nice, modern, clean I really liked our room, the beds were very comfy! The next thing was we wanted to get dinner, oh look there is like 20 options of food IN the casino, awesome! We all went walking down to go find dinner, but to our surprise we were stopped and told no one under 18 allowed in the casino! What!? We had kids with us so we had to send them back up to the room while we got food to take up to the room, weird they wouldn't let us eat down there. read more

In the past drinks were free if you were playing. I recently went there was playing ordered a drink and she came back and charged me 10.50 I was in shock but paid then to add insult to injury it didn't even taste like alcohol was in the drink. Wtf Ballys you can do better. read more

Wow! What a surprise. When I was last here, the track had just began with slots. Smoke-filled, grimy, low ceilings, you get the drift. I knew it was done over and frankly I came to set up an online account for Super Bowl prop bets. I was shocked. Much bigger than I thought, (Covid time visits) very eye appealing, variety of slots. Table games and craps have a good amount. Reasonable table minimums. Staff overall nice, but there are exceptions. 100% Smoke free (presently) and 100% mask for Covid still. Clean casino. The hotel, hard to believe. As a former 125+ hotel nights/year frequent traveler, I am very critical of hotels. If one of the big boys is looking to expand, they should buy the naming rights to this place. This will give any of the big brands a run for their money. What a gem. Clean, quiet, reasonable,comfortable beds in small, but comfortable room. Great feeling of safety. The staff was nice, but 1 stood out. Not bad for a getaway, but it does have its flaws. It's easy to get to and most of the time parking is fairly easy. There are many great food options and the hotel staff has always been excellent. Slot payouts are generally OK but not particularly generous. Last night (Friday) the casino featured a live band in the center area. It was awful and drove many players away or to the south area. The volume smothered the sound of the machines. Adding any band, especially at that volume, ruined the experience. Finally, there is a lot of cigarette and cigar smoke. The non smoking slots are far fewer and often fairly worn out. There are often dirty ash trays or ashes on the machines and there doesn't seem to be staff to keep things tidy. We enjoy our trips here, but management would do well to address a few easily fixable issues. read more

I used to like coming here prior to it being 'Bally's'. Do not bother. Just drive further on down to Foxwoods. Bypass this place. Against my better judgment, I tried again on 12/3/22. I was at a slot machine when it froze up. I sat there waiting for 20 minutes or so. They pulled part of the face, unplugged and plugged a wire and the machine unfroze. No apology, no nothing not even a drink. The second machine I went to had a piece of the face missing and you could see inside. They did away with the serve yourself soda/water area. Curbed the free slot plays you get with your card. My comp balance was the exact same balance coming in as it was leaving even after I played several slots, a table game. Yes, I gave my card at the table game. He gave it back. My balance stayed the same. and, no one seems to win anything. No joy coming from the craps table all night. Suspicious live video blackjack; you just see the dealer's hands not his shuffling. No one around me won. No one wins anymore. This was my fifth and FINAL visit since it became Bally's. read more

This is only for the concerts! I go to at least 10-15 shows a year so I know what I'm saying. I've been to Twin River twice for shows now. If you don't like a long walk, use the valet parking. The concert is only a few feet away. Pay extra for a ticket and get as close to the stage as possible. It is a small stage but they have 2 large screens left and right of the stage for people further back. Other than that it is a nice venue with plenty of staff for help. Also shows are very reasonably priced! Also seating can be tight for larger people. The chairs are tied together- so be prepared to lean against someone. read more

I really enjoyed my stay here. The check-in process was very easy and went smooth. The staff at the front desk were all very nice and were good with answering questions. The room was small but nice. And it was very clean when I arrived so their housekeepers are definitely doing a great job. The soap and shampoo that I found in the bathroom for my use in the shower was Neroli scented and of good quality. There was also a lotion there that came in very handy. The hotel was very quiet and I could barely hear any noise going on in the hallway and none from the adjacent rooms. This hotel has a pool and a gym as well. I didn't use either but they are both there if you are one who goes to gyms or you want to take a dip in the pool. The lobby where you check in is very clean and there is a small refrigerated case where there are sandwiches and yogurt for sale if you need a late night or early morning snack and don't feel like leaving the hotel. And there is seating right in the check-in area where you can sit and enjoy any food that you purchase. They also have some goods there for sale right at the check-in desk such as candy bars and travel size hairspray, shaving cream, dental floss, toothbrushes and a few other items that come in handy when you are travelling. It is such a good idea to have these things available since so many people forget to pack certain items and it is not always convenient to leave the hotel to get to a store either late at night when you are settling down or early in the morning when you're getting yourself together but are not ready to leave the hotel yet. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend this place. read more

But that being said, Bally's hotel and spa are enticing. Gentle music emanates from the spa constantly. And the hotel is clean and staffed by warm, hard-working people. I even requested a room with a view and enjoyed watching various fowl congregate on a spacious pond and nimble rabbits forage along its banks. But as for the Casino itself, a decent offering of slots and table games await. And I spotted two spacious handsome bars, but weekends seem best to find them rolling. Ditto for restaurants. Weekdays it's mostly Wicked Good, which ain't bad at all; a sports bar with large quality offerings; the Pot Roast and Greek Salad with chicken or salmon brings enough to share; but other high end eateries are mostly waitin' for the weekend. Also, Wicked Good offers a swell range of bar drinks and the servers rock. read more

Weird, weird hotel. I'm a frequent traveler for both business and recreation. I've stayed in lots of hotels, from Super 8 to The Waldorf Astoria. The Twin River Casino hotel isn't really on that spacetime continuum. I'm not a civil engineer, but seriously, who the hell designed this thing?!?! First, getting in is weird. I walked through the casino, following hotel signs above. They led me to a large entrance with no hotel check in nearby. All the signs pointing you towards the hotel just sort of stopped. In a dark alcove there was a coat check, similar to that near other entrances around the casino. I began to ask the woman at the desk about the location of the hotel, and before I could utter a word, she grumbled that it's "that way", pointing to a tiny nondescript opening in the wall that led down a LONG hall with no signage or anything to indicate a hotel check in. After walking down the oddly long hall, it emptied out to a large room with a desk that seemed to be check in. Later, when I returned after losing all my money gambling, I had to ask where the elevators were. "that way" the receptionist at the desk said, pointing me into a large opening, where I still didn't find the elevators. I saw another hall at the end of that area that turned right, and seemed to terminate in a fogged out glass door that is locked. No sign, no indication that rooms were that way, or an elevator. Luckily, two srunk4old women were staggering back and told me that the elevators were in fact behind the unlabeled locked door. After finally solving the puzzle of getting to my room, let's just say I was underwhelmed. Everything was new, but in that plastic furniture bought at a Big Lots sense. The construction quality was poor and obviously slapped together. It wasn't just tacky/cheap like they wanted to be cost effective... More like it was slapped together with the lowest possible cost material you could find... And boy did they look hard to make sure it was cheap! The only purpose I can imagine for staying here is that you had too many drinks at the casino, which you pay for per RI state law (ridiculous), and can't get an Uber. With MGM putting in an EXCELLENT hotel, and far superior hotels at the CT casinos, I'm just not sure who this hotel at Twin River is for. read more

This place has very little redeeming value. The worst part is the SMOKING, some of my clothing still reeks THREE DAYS LATER! I only went in here to grab a bite to eat and play some blackjack while in the Providence area for the night. Avoiding the smokers in the blackjack area is IMPOSSIBLE from what I could see. Some early 20's professional gambler sat down next to me, popped over $500 into the $10/min video blackjack and began lighting up his Marlboro Lights, sucking them down one after the other while slowly killing me in the process. Luckily, i had a tiny stop-loss that day and hit it within 20 minutes and jetted out of that section of the casino, gross gross gross. I don't do slots but there were filled by the sounds of social security checks being flushed down the toilet by countless octogenarians on their last leg. This casino in general is over 95% slot based and pretty depressing, not a place I'll be rushing back to. The steakhouse here might be the only thing one would ever return for but I'm not spending $40+ on a steak unless I win big on the floor. But why will I win big on the floor when I can't spend more than 20 minutes without gagging from all of the cigarette smoke?! Twin River has put itself in quite the Catch 22 for me. If your demographic is officially tobacco users, we'll just part ways now and say goodbye forever. Smoking is nasty and we're now finally used to going out in public without it invading the air we breathe as well.....except places that are still stuck in the 1980's like TRC. read more

My wife and I went here for the first time last night. Neither of us gamble but we have a touch of voyeurism and love to watch people and things. Twin River isn't nearly as big as the two huge Connecticut casinos, but it does have it charms. Lots of slot machines things with bright lights that make some interesting noises. If you go upstairs and look down onto the bottom floor, all the colors of the machines seem surreal. Pretty cool. The band that was playing was decent but the food court just average. No boofay, just the usual Taco Bell, KFC, Soup Place, Johnny Rockets, Subway and Haagen-Dazs places. Nothing really unusual or especially cool except for Dessert Express. That tiny place has enough empty calories to feed most third world countries. Some tasty items that encourages the pursuit of gluttony. I love to ride escalators and Twin Rivers does have a couple. We enjoyed going up and down looking at people. One of the coolest things about the whole place is the huge map of Rhode Island that is one of the floors in the lobby downstairs. Looking at that was entertaining. I am amazed at how quick the slot machines are. Just shove in the money and wham it's over. I saw people going through some prodigious amounts of money in an incredibly short time. It would be more fun if they made them like video games so that something cool actually happens for your effort. For someone who actually enjoyed gambling this place might be entertaining, but for just watching and poking around it's only mildly amusing. read more

Hotel was not very accommodating. Waited 15 min plus to be checked in , when checking in wasn't told about anything (parking, spa, pool hours, how to get to the room). Let that slide, then called night before for a late check out , was told yes and asked room number. At 10 am house keeping was banging on the door, at 1030 front desk called them room, then again at 11 house keeping was knocking again. There was clearly no communication between staff. Every time we went to the front desk they'd be too busy to help, even though they'd rarely be anyone other customer there. Most of the night staff was in back room so you couldn't even talk to them if you needed too. Poorly operated hotel. read more

If you know anything about slots, you know that the only way you're going to win is by playing the max bet. The slots here are unbelievably expensive. $45 is the max bet on the $1 machine. On the quarter machines, it's something like $12. Penny machines can get up there too in price, but your "winnings" are never even enough to keep you playing for very long. I usually enjoy the high-stake slots, but NOT here. You've got to have a few thousand dollars to blow, just to have a good time in that area. I did watch some dude win $2500 on one machine and then $3000 on another though. Willing to bet he dropped a lot of dough to get there though. While at most other casinos, you can spend $100 and have fun for a couple hours, at Twin River, you can spend $100 and have fun for about 30 minutes. I wouldn't even say to come with $500 to blow and just have fun, because these games all really, really, really suck. If you come back and write a negative review, don't say I didn't warn you. The only good thing about coming here is that you can get Del's lemonade in at J'eat. read more

I have never been into casinos that much, but at Twin River they really have basically everything to tickle your palette! The games are a lot of fun to play, especially if you win some money - my friends couldn't pull me away from Deal or No Deal! Last weekend we went again to check out the Goo Goo Dolls at their entertainment center, and it was a great concert... Looking at their webpage, it looks like they consistently have shows all the time. Next time I go I am checking out their comedy club for sure.. Honestly the main lobby of the hotel was hard to find. It took me about 10 minutes of driving around the parking lot to figure out which entrance was closest to the hotel. Partly my fault, there were signs along the road, but I missed them the first time. After finding the correct entrance (I can't quite remember, I think East side), the entrance to the hotel is to the left, almost behind the coat check - as another reviewer wrote "nondescript entrance." Once you find check in, there are another couple long hallways to the elevators. Small pool on the right as you walk down the hallways. Windows along the entire hallway/elevator lobby so not a romantic pool. The rooms were modern and new (I think around 4 years old now). Not big but enough. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a glass shower door/wall, adjustable shower head, things were clean. All in all a decent place for the price. It's bare bones, but done well enough. A nice place to crash after dinner and the casino. No picture of the room (didn't think of writing a review at the time, but now I'm quarantined) but got one of the casino slot floor from the second level. read more

You would have a better time playing the ancient slots in the back room at the elks then visiting Twin River. I'm convinced this place is on some type of slot management timer designed to cut winning percentages and bonus payouts. If not then these are the tightest slot machines on the planet. I realize that I'm gambling and I'm very likely to lose... but at the very least give me some payouts so I can enjoy playing for a while. This place just takes, takes, takes. This is a close "Go To" place for entertainment before or after dinner under the same roof. Mainly we go "donate" our hard earned money, because we definitely won't get rich playing penny slots or even nickle slots here. BUT, it is for the entertainment and not to win fortune to change our lives. For the most part, the place is clean, including the bathrooms. The atmosphere is what a casino atmosphere is, electric, sparkling, exciting, etc. But, I am little disturb by the high number of older individuals here, meaning borderline elder or elderly people. Even on a slow night like Thursday, there is large number of elderly individuals. There are two sections, smoking and nonsmoking, the more entertaining slots are located in the smoking sections, if you dare endure the smokers to left and right of you. There is "live" entertainment (bands), a comedy club, bars, and food places (fast and restaurant style). I have not experience it yet, but I do plan on attending a live concert here. They do have some sub-marque entertainment that comes here to perform. Parking, depending on the time and where you park, can be good and bad. BEST SUGGESTION, go to the opposite side or rear of the location. Parking is closer less of a headache. First time going, we made the mistake of trying to find a parking spot at the main entrance/exit of Twin River. A little bit longer of drive to get to the back, but worth it to avoid walking a million miles or taking a shuttle to get to the building. All in all, our main reason for going to Twin River is for dinner at Wicked Good Bar and Grill (see my review for details). :-) read more

Have not had good luck at the machines in the last 4 months. I have witnessed some people getting good bonuses; but overall from my experience, when you hit the bonus or Free Roll, it just doesn't pay. I am quite upset they did away with the Irish bar, Fado. It was a really nice place and had decent food. We used to gather there many times after work. The new bar Wicked Good I am not a fan of. The food was not really good. ***The 1st floor is smoking area and you will wreak afterwards of cigarette smoke. Go in the South entrance, take the elevator to the 2nd floor and you will be in the non smoking area, much more desireable & attractive. read more

We partook of the nickel slots, and the bar only, and did great on both counts.(won 80 bucks!) I was really intrigued by the crowd, so diverse! The crowd was fairly large, but well dispersed throughout this gargantuan place. There was definately the seedy element what with all the smoking, and the human tragedy element was there too, but I had fun! Booze was moderately priced, staff was super nice, and they had a cover band playing that didn't totally suck. An interesting change of pace. read more

I've been to Twin River Casino just a handful of time. This review is for the casino overall. The comedy club here is really great and I recommend that, but this review does not reflect that. I did lose, but this review does not reflect winning or losing, because it is a casino afterall. My biggest complain is the smoking. Now I've been to 50 casinos in the USA, including Connecticut's Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. And they very smokey too. But, for example, Mohegan Sun, the newer rooms at Foxwoods, and MGM at Foxwoods, have higher ceilings and better ventilation. And while they all tend to have small no-smoking areas, at Twin River it is laughable. They have a good selection of machines, including video blackjack and I think roulette. A lot of 1 cent, 2 cent, and 5 cent machines, but they do have a selection of higher denominations as well. The penny machines can be expensive, and pay well, with a good max bet. I've only been to a restaurant that is now closed. The comedy club is beautiful, that I will say. The food court has KFC and Johnny Rockets (and two others, but I forget), with spacious seating in the area. Overall its a nice venue, but the smoking is a major negative, just because of the lack of good ventilation. read more

Garbage. The voters in Rhode Island have been bent over (what's new?). This isn't even a casino, it's a remodeled building chock full of slots full of the same old people trying to win their retirement and young townies who think it's a cool spot to drink at. I wonder if all the people who were conned into voting against an Indian casino are as disgusted as I am. Last I read they weren't doing too hot, having to fire a bunch of staff and the restaurants are on their way out too. The whole scene is really depressing. Take me to the river, indeed. read more

The outside is nothing to look at but once you get inside there's a whole new vibe. Super clean roomy modern rooms with the coziest beds ever!! Staff was beyond friendly, accommodating and social. I have been to many hotels/motels/airbnb's as I travel for work and adventure and I highly recommend this place. Upon arrival through the entrance to the casino (which is typical) we were greeted and directed to the hotel reception without difficulty. I've been to many casino hotels and find it nice not to have to go through the casino itself to get to the room. But even if I did have to, as long as the room itself is worth it, I don't mind and in this case the room was superb!! I enjoyed it so much I'm going back next week!! read more

We go here all the time to see bands and play a few hours. If you want to die, go to the smoking area! It reeks, your clothing reeks, your hair , the people smell. Ass cracks everywhere at night. The bathrooms are disgraceful usually, they only clean them once a night I think. I know people who never win here. You hear a good song over the loud speakers and then its interupted by "MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE, COMING TO THE LIGHHOUSE BAR ITS STEVE ANTHONY AND PERSUASION OR THE AMISH OUTLAWS..LOL The crowd at night is very young, maybe 18 -24 and they play 5 cents a hand. No kidding. I see it. Its slots, not a casino. Do they card these people? What about the way the security does NOTHING when people bang the crap out of a machine when they are mad because they are losing. The Beverage people are sometimes annoying. I'm usually half asleep playing a machine late at night and they come by purposely and scream" BEVERAGE" really loud in my ears! Its funny sometimes. They are getting table games soon..OH foxwoods look out ! Sometimes you win. Sometimes the machines are tighter than an elephant in a VW Beetle! The food is pretty good.
