Decided to go out for some dessert, and picked this place as it was close to home. It was not a huge selection, but it was a very good selection of sweet treats. I had a Nutella something that looked like an acorn, and my wife had some tiramisu. They were both delicious. The service was good, and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. Balquees Coffee- located just about Nextdoor to Five Below, across from Sam's Club on Debbie Lane Many (including myself) locals lament so many chain restaurants in Mansfield, so we were here to try out and support our local, family run businesses. We stopped by on a Saturday evening for some dessert and found a modest selection with both of our desserts being delicious! I had a classic tiramisu and my husband had a super cool looking dessert- it looked like an acorn and tasted like hazelnut Nutella Unfortunately, we were the only patrons there. Please support so we can continue to have these types of businesses in our community. Our service was pleasant. I wanted to like this place because the reviews were strong and I've been looking for a coffee shop near me to read, journal, and work from. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When I walked in, the employee behind the counter made eye contact with me, then walked away to the back without greeting me. I stood at the counter waiting and looking over the menu before he finally came over and asked how he could help me. No hello, no welcome, no warmth. I ordered my coffee and sat down to read, and while I was there, I watched him greet every other customer after me with a much warmer, more upbeat welcome. He also acknowledged people as they left, but did not do the same for me. The coffee was good, although a little sweet. I also purchased one of the specialty drinks from the cooler because the packaging caught my attention, but I honestly didn't like it. As a customer, the lack of basic hospitality stood out more than the coffee. I'm big on customer service, and this experience left a bad taste. I won't be returning. read more

First time here, found them on Yelp. Very cute shop. I got a Balqees Royal; it was not sweet at all, but super flavorful. With the cardamom and cinnamon. I wish I had known to stir it up as I drink it, because I had a lot of residual at the bottom of my cup, but I would definitely get it again. I also wanna come by back and try some of their desserts. Great coffee and friendly staff. The comb desserts are delicious. This is a nice place to enjoy a book while drinking coffee and tea.

We were anxiously awaiting this coffee shop to Open. The inside is absolutely beautiful and they did a great job with the decor. I ordered a latte and my only critique is that it was a little pricey. 8 dollars when i could get it at the local Starbucks for less. It was very good it was just a little expensive for a place without drive through. read more

New place & they've earned a repeat customer! Gorgeous place with such a glowing ambiance. Clean restaurant (I also noticed they wiped down every table after use & swept the floor several times while I was there) with stunning decor. Staff is incredibly nice, wonderful to converse with as they offer many options of delicious things to eat & drink. An iced pistachio latte & pistachio cake is what I ordered. No disappointment there. The cake was rich but not super sweet. And I really enjoyed the prominent pistachio flavor in my latte. Again, not super sweet & that's exactly what I am looking for. They bring your order to you & upon leaving I did ask where I needed to out my empty dishes but they also take care of that too. Grabbed a dubai chocolate cake on the way out to share with family, they loved it. I will say it may be a bit more pricier than one might expect, however, with what they provide in quality, taste, & robust flavors... it's justified. They are open late, give them a try! read more

Worst matcha I've ever had in my entire life. The color was disgusting it tasted like straight chemicals and I had to buy a different drink when I asked if I could get something else. Almost 9 dollars in an inedible drink and I had to pay another 9 for one I could actually drink despite the barista dumping the matcha out for me. When I went up to him, he told me that it wouldn't be good no matter what syrup you add because they don't have a recipe for the matcha whatever that means!! The barista literally told me it was bad and that I shouldn't have ordered it, after I bought a different drink!! Never coming here again read more

We've been anxiously waiting for months to see this new beautiful coffee shop finally open. Very excited to get to stop in today for our first experience and it is so beautiful inside. Really comfortable seating and lots of options from casual to table top. We ordered at the counter and the staff are very friendly and willing to make recommendations and talk to the menu with us. There's still a little bit of a soft opening happening so the full menu is not available but we were happy with our selections from today and I would love to come back and try some of the desserts in the display cases. read more

I'm really bummed to report we didn't like our experience. The coffee was mid, its cost$9, and what was really disappointing is that one coffee drink took 40 minutes to get! They were busy, saw what appeared to be the owner come in with her 2 kids, but she did not help, just added to the chaos behind the counter. We will not return due to price and lack of taste. Let the fun begin/continue. Sushi dinner, then we walked to the coffee shop. It was very full of customers, sitting, talking and enjoying drinks and dessert. We were missing our puppy so we did a To-Go order of Red Velvet Cake and Pistachio Cheesecake. The environment was delightful, very quiet, allowing for polite conversation. Balqees Coffee is now open and I've been waiting for this day for months!! :) Just stopped by to try an iced caramel macchiato and an iced white mocha-absolutely scrumptious! The coffee was amazing- the staff is super nice and they're working so hard to deliver yummy drinks and treats to their customers! Oh and the ambiance was 10/10. Would highly recommend to everyone! I am in school and I like to try different coffee shops to study at. I loved the aesthetics! However no one greeted me at the door and I stood at the bakery counter for almost 5 minutes only receiving glances from the workers as if I didn't belong there. There were only a few customers in the cafe who were already enjoying their orders so it wasn't as if they were overwhelmed with orders. A simple "we will be right with you" or "one second please" would have sufficed. The pastries and coffee looked appetizing but the customer service is awful so I didn't get to try. I sat down to begin studying and 3 more costumers greeted as they walked in and the workers were quick to take their orders. I left after that. Wont be back again. read more

i've been to a lot of coffee spots around DFW metroplex and this went by far is my favorite one. Also love how friendly the staff is and their pastries are very very good. I highly recommend to at least come once and try something especially if you've never been to in Arabic coffee shop. The environment is very positive and just great vibe overall. We had the pistachio latte and their signature blaqees latte. Both were tasty without being overly sweet. We ordered to go, but the barista still brought out to go order to us on a tray as though she was serving dine-in. We also tried the guava pastry which was delicious and again, not overly sweet.
