They gave a side order of garlic knots that were so hard they were inedible. One bite attempt and it was obvious someone tried to heat them in the microwave. I drive by here all the time. I asked my friend if they serve good pizza and he said yes. He wasn't kidding when he said that the slices are big. Slices are very affordable when it's a cheese pizza. I ordered a handful of panzarottis and a caesar salad for co-workers and me last week, but someone else picked it up for me and I didn't get to my lunch until after some meetings. I realized hours after my order that they forgot the dressing for the salad. I called to let them know and they insisted on fixing the situation, sending a driver straight to my job (even though we had originally picked it up and not paid for delivery). Just an extra call that took me less than a minute and within 10 minutes they saved my lunch. Of course the panzarottis were fabulous as well, but I'll definitely return and recommend for the excellent customer service! read more

The owner called a woman a cheap Bitch in front of her child. It seems there was a dispute over a two liter soda. Now personally I believe if the female wanted to be smart with her money the two liter was the way to go... however rules are rules and I honestly understand that. But calling a female outside of her name in front of her child is just wrong. So make sure to get multiple smalls to fulfill your party needs, rather than the one super large pizza. In addition to the price savings, you can also benefit from multiple topping selections as well. The toppings, as well as the pies themselves, were priced much more favorably for smaller pizzas. Eat in service includes two rooms set up with plasma screen set to a sports station (there's a definite Eagles vibe in there). I LOVE this place! Pizza is always delicious and hot! We usually get pepperoni and bacon, have sometimes gotten mozzarella sticks, wings, fries-all things have been good but the pizza is really where they shine. Sadly we live walking distance from a pizza shop but will take the extra step to order from balsamos. In my opinion, it's a little more expensive in comparison to other shops but it's worth it. Staff are friendly, and introduced me to one of my new favorite beers when I couldn't decide! Good news is if you get delivery and forget to run out for beer or wine, they will deliver:) read more

This pizzeria is under new owner..unfortunately. The staff is really rude. They forgot our sauce for the wings. When we called to let them know and ask they they deliver it. We were told the owner packed the order himself and if we want it we have to come get it ourselves. We said we would come get it but we aren't paying extra since they forgot it. The woman said don't tell me what to do. Well, I went there to get the sauce asked for the owner. The girl went in the back to get the owner then came back upfront and was told he wasn't there that he went out on a delivery. We have people over nearly every weekend and order here all the time since it its close. We spend around $200 plus a month. With rude service like this we won't be back. They really put a pretty nice personal stamp remodeling the new location, its upper-casual in atmosphere, similar to a hipster populated-divebar. Only ever really ordered pizza, beer and appetizers from here. Love the pizza, it's always been hot and fresh. The beer selection is awesome, with a good selection of craft beers as well as your standard beer flavored waters and they are fairly reasonably priced compared to a liquor store. I don't mind paying slightly more for the one stop shop convenience. The best part is they'll deliver beer right to your door with dinner. Like all places, delivery can be a bit of a wait sometimes but unlike some places I've experienced you still manage to get hot fresh food. After reading another ridiculous review I just want to add that this place is in a perfectly safe residential neighborhood. I do not live in this neighborhood, but drive through several times a week. Anyone who says they didn't feel safe going here has never been anywhere near here and most likely has an axe to grind. My family orders delivery or fetches foods in some manner every single day. There are about 10 local places on our regular rotation. There are things on the menu that one of us loves and the other hates at every location. One of us finds it salty, the other finds it perfect. Some places mess up more than others, some almost never mess up. I will continue to try new things at Balsamo's. If they screw something up or forget something minor, I'll just take the tiny hit. No Biggie. If some place screws the same thing up over and over, I will remind them to make sure. If I HAD to complain about Balsamo's I would say that they don't carry swiss cheese for my turkey hoagies, which are the biggest stuffed hoagies I've ever seen. Flipping Huge. There are currently some bumps in the road with the change over to the new menu. Make sure you are on their website with the actual menu looking format with yellow background. Always be nice to people handling your food anywhere, and always over-tip a little if you can. These folks put up with a lot of grief. read more
