I attended a retirement luncheon held in the Guinness Room on 5/16/26. From start to finish the event could not have been more perfect. Our event coordinator Tracie and hostess/bartender Brandi were exceptional. Everything was delivered as promised. The private room was a great venue to allow people to walk around and socialize. It was extremely clean and offered private bathrooms. The food was delicious. Brandi made sure every person felt like the guest of honor! Stick to beer, apps, and desserts and you are good to go. We enjoy Dooney's atmosphere. But tonight we order meals and were not impressed. I got the chopped salad with salmon. I could have made something better at home. It was just lettuce and tomato. The salmon tasted like a grill. My husband got a chicken sandwich, and he said tasting like the grill would have been an improvement. Apps and desserts never disappoint. We'll stick to those in the future. The service was very good, and the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and decor. The staff were friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. The appetizer, however, was quite salty. At first I thought maybe that was just the chef's style or the flavor profile of the dish, but after trying the main course, I realized that probably wasn't the case. The burger I had was normal and much more balanced in flavor. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, especially because of the service and the environment, but the food was a bit inconsistent. The burger was fine, but the appetizer was too salty for my taste. I may come back and try something else, but I would probably skip that appetizer next time. read more

Another great experience at Dooney's! We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and our server, Jacob, was welcoming and quick. Dooney's seasonal menus are always a highlight, capturing each holiday with great flavors. With Thanksgiving around the corner, I tried the turkey sandwich from their holiday menu. It came stacked with juicy turkey, sweet cranberry sauce, and a thick gravy on the side. Paired with crispy house-made chips, it was a taste of Thanksgiving in every bite. I was craving a good old fashioned fish and chips meal. I figured a pub should have a good version, no? Well, no. The serving was fairly bland. However, I did like the onion rings, so that was the high point of the meal. Very loud in here and nearly impossible to have a conversation with others in the booth. read more

I'm pretty lucky with places I dine at. Dooney's Pub is absolutely included in with that luck! I wanted to take my bestie out for dinner to celebrate her birthday and wanted to try somewhere we hadn't been yet. We're both also watching our figures, so we didn't want crap food. I remembered a doctor I used to work with liking it here. We had a bowl (me) and a salad (her) that we were ranting and raving over - I sh*t you not - they were both absolutely delicious. I'll go out on a limb and say that this bowl was one of THE best bowls that I've EVER had!!! The arugula was a better different than what I've had in the past. The avocado was so fresh, and the chicken, super tasty. The dressing was super good too - avocado ranch (a slight kick). We also toasted with a blackberry mojito and seasonal "solstice" drink. I love it here! What I love most is that its big enough for large parties. There are plenty of televisions to watch sports and there are private booths with their own tv--bonus! One of the times I went there was a band playing. It wasnt too loud though. On the menu there are plenty of delicious things to choose from. My favorite was my smashburger with fries but there is an option to sub for onion rings. Service is friendly, fast and for once a place that isnt rushing me out the door. read more

was pleasantly surprised I've never been here. The atmosphere is just like an Irish pub. The food was delicious. They had just enough of everything. The menu wasn't too big so you know everything was fresh. I have the fish tacos. I chose the one with two tacos with shrimp on a sore tortilla shell. It came with chips and salsa. It was very satisfying and the shrimp were seasoned and cooked. Just right my friend had a Reuben. She said it was awesome. She took some home and finished it when she got there she had a couple beers and we both said we are definitely gonna go back here. A treasure that needs to be shared: At first glance it is a casual nothing special place. There are TVs and sports all over. Ok nice but can they deliver when it comes to food? We had a buffet reception for a special birthday. The cheese steak was tender and flavorful with lots of cheese. The wings were BIG and JUICY. Although the service was pretty good despite how busy they were. The ambiance was pretty average considering it is a bar/restaurant Will not be returning!
