Food is fine. We had a what we thought was a minor issue. We asked for no lettuce on two subs. They had lettuce. My wife called to resolve the matter. The older gentleman who is often in there gave my wife a hard time on the phone. Telling her that's not what she said. She always says no lettuce. Eventually, they agreed to make the replacements. I went to go pick them up. When I got to the counter he, also gave me a hard time. Telling me my wife didn't say not lettuce. He grabbed the sandwich bag out of my hand and took it back across the counter. I said "dude are you serious right now?" He threw the bag back on the counter saying "take them." We live within walking distance and ordered from here on a weekly basis. Never again. Even the Golden Arches has better customer service. read more

I've been eating food from Johnny's for well over 20 years. I still have some sandwich coupons they used to give out - get 20 coupons and you get a free sandwich! While they no longer give out those coupons, not much else has changed with Johnny's. Food-wise, you'll always get a solid meal for a decent price. It won't blow your mind and it won't make you say "why did I get this" but when you get your order, you won't be disappointed. The pizzas are solid and well-portioned - no tiny pies here. The cheese is mozzarella and the sauce is not sweet, as it should be. The hoagies here are generously portioned as are the triple-decker club sandwiches. Cheesesteaks? Go for it - they're also solid. I'd say Chick's is better then Johnny's but if you don't want to travel too far or want a quick delivery, you can't go wrong with Johnny's. read more

COVID19 Quarantine Review (Pick Up); Johnny's is one of my favorite Pizza places, so of course I had to grab a pizza during this crazy Quarantine. I called in an order on a Friday night, and was surprised to only have a half hour turn around. One of the things I love about Johnny's is their localized personalities that make you feel a regular the minute they answer the phone. Covid-19 Review: Over the weekend I decided that I wanted to order a pizza for dinner since I couldn't go out to eat. After searching online for the best and inexpensive pizza in my area, I came across Johnny's Pizza. They had a $19.99 deal for two large pies which they run all the time. The reviews were mostly good so I decided to give them a try. JP was the typical pizza place and I would say the pizza wasn't bad. The pizza had flavor and wasn't greasy. Called to place order for delivery 1.5 miles away as we have done several times over. Was told delivery time was one hour. Okay, no big deal as we love their pizza and sandwiches. Was then told to hold on by the woman who answered. A man then came on the line to say they do not deliver to us. When asked why, that we have always had delivery from them, and as recently as a week ago, was told very rudely that I am too busy to deliver there and then was hung up on before a response could be given. Called back and asked why he hung up on me and was told because people like me (not sure what kind of people he was referring to) are the reason why he hangs up on customers. Damn shame they hire ignorant SOB's that cannot handle a busy business. I'll miss the food there, but I'll be spending my $$ elsewhere until that clown is gone or is taught how to speak to the customer. Pizza shops are a dime a dozen. read more

My girlfriend and I are huge pizza lovers, and try new pizzerias all of the time. We tried Johnny's last week, but weren't too impressed. We placed an order for a chicken bacon ranch pizza, sweet potato fries, and cheese poppers. The sweet potato fries weren't very good; overcooked and tiny portion- the menu listed only one size. The poppers were very well fried, cheesy and delicious. Highly recommend. The chicken bacon ranch pizza wasn't cohesive- very strange combination. It was literally ranch dressing, very little cheese, and bacon. There wasn't much chicken at all. The upside was that the bacon was actual bacon strips. Just waited over 30 minutes for 2 slices and a pasta to go. Walked in. It was not busy. There were no tickets flying out of the machine. Owners sat at a table with masks half off of their faces chatting away and got indignant when I started to get curious about my order. The owner said I "should have called ahead". Right. It's my fault. Got home and the slices are cold. One Star for the cashier. She is sweet. She understood the issue. Maybe they should pay her well to manage what they obviously cannot. read more

The owner has been a great supporter of the local schools. The pizza is solid with good sauce. I'd like my crust a bit thicker but otherwise very good. The food actually isn't bad at all. But here is why it gets 1 star. My mother and I decided to order delivery one day. We live in the neighborhood and have been customers for years. We call and order one pepperoni pie (pretty basic) and fries. The man on the phone gives the total. We ask if we can pay by credit card. He takes our credit card number down, and then informs us that they lost electricity earlier in the day (this happened sometime in July), and that they were unsure if the credit machine would work. I asked him to call back and let me know because we didn't have cash, credit was our only option of payment. We hang up. 10 minutes go by with no phone call. I call HIM back, and he says it didn't work the first time so he asked for the credit card number again to try a second time. This time, I stay on the line while he tries again. It doesn't work. He apologies, and so do I. I ask him to cancel our order then because we do not have any cash. He then grows angry because he apparently already has the pizza cooking in the oven. I then proceed to ask him why he would start to cook our order when he knew our only form of payment is credit and his credit machine wasn't working? Mind you, it's a simple pepperoni pie that I'm sure another customer would order, as it being a popular menu item. Well, I'd like to be able to say the pizza was horrible, but alas, the crappy customer service kept me from even tasting it. I called at 8pm to ask if they deliver to my address. Curtly, the man on the phone says yes, but not for just one pizza. So we decide to order two, visit the website, pick out the toppings and call back at 9pm. OMG!! Usually get pizza here and it's food not great but today I ordered pasta and meatballs. I know there was going to be plenty from the weight of the bag but sometimes that's not a good sign. Well it was awesome. Pasta not pre-cooked because of the el Dante firmness. The sauce was excellent with a little spice. I usually put red pepper but none necessary. It came with a loaf of garlic bread. This dish easily could serve 3 people. The salad crisp and fresh a meal in itself. The meatballs were good not Mamas but good. This is the best pizza place around! We used to go somewhere else in the neighborhood and even though it was meh, we were creatures of habit until we were done. We've been ordering from Johnnys for a few months now and it's always delicious and delivery is always timely. Tonight we had white pizza with ricotta, loads of ricotta and so yummy.
