I asked Baltic Roofing to come out to take a look at my roof because I had a water leak in my attic, which must be roof related. Darius from Baltic Roofing came out and took a look at the roof. After reviewing the roof he told me that most likely the issue is caused by driving rain that is getting in between a flat roof (the top of my roof is flat, and not shingles) and the shingles. Unfortunately Baltic focuses more on shingles than the type of repair that I need. But Darius was extremely helpful in diagnosing my issue and trying to help me. My experience from start to finish was excellent with Baltic Roofing! I had a complete tear off , new facia, soffit, and gutters! The roof looks fantastic and Darius the owner was very involved with the job, he came up with some great ideas to clean up a lot of outdated vents and upgraded vents and added a roof line venting system to eliminate the mushroom vents. I just have to say he was very patient when a issue arose and that means a lot so the homeowner doesn't stress any issues! They had a guy come to my house to give me an estimate on my roof because it was leaking. when he came down he told me he couldn't find anything because he was not a tech but he could send a tech out for $1399 mean while I paid him $100 for nothing. a complete rip off. read more

First, I want to advise that I am skeptical with ANY home improvement company, I grilled these guys, salesman Jack ( which by the way is the BEST), even though I was kinda of an jerk at first, always thinking these guys were just a home improvement place looking for max profits, not knowing anything. I will advise all that Baltic is the best roof and siding company, bar none. This is a family business where all is involved and owner Darius will not close out job until you are satisfied. He quoted a price for a skylight leak repair but when the job was completed, he actually came back to us and it said it cost less than what was quoted. How many companies will be that honest?? Everything went perfect. We had a new roof and gutters installed. We also has a continuous ridge vent put in and had a skylight replaced. Darius was on the job sight throughout the day and the roof replacement, including the tear off, was done in one day. The gutters were done the next day and look great. Darius recommended larger downspouts due to a gutter overflowing problem we had no more overflowing. Overall great experience. We had some high winds in Lemont this spring, and I was really happy to have my new 130mph rated roof instead of the 20 year old builders grade roof I had before. read more

Do your research and get other estimates first, especially with skylights. Having used Baltic for a couple of minor jobs in the past. I trusted them to be fair and competitive with their pricing. Big mistake on my part. I had 2 leaking skylights in April '22. So I called Baltic and they were out the next day to give us an estimate of $6800 to replace them. Not knowing the model number, actual cost of the skylights, how big of a job, how many people would be needed and risking further damage inside our house. We signed a work order. 2 days later they were installed. 1 man was able to do the job in less than 6.5 hours. He left without leaving any paperwork. Afterwards we asked for the warranty info and final paperwork. We then learned these skylights could be purchased anywhere between $343-$504 delivered online. So even with a markup and additionl materials used. They charged us over $800 per hour for 1 man labor. We emailed them back and forth with our concerns of being overcharged. It got us nowhere. We then got other estimates for the job. They ranged from $3400-$4650. Quite a difference from Baltic at $6800. We then brought that to their attention. Again got us nowhere. I had 2 situations where Baltic helped with my roofing needs. First was with my own house where I had an issue with a leak that I thought was coming in through a valley in my roof. Darius came and inspected and found the issue to be a problem with the flashing that the previous company who had installed my roof didn't do a proper job of installing. His price was reasonable and within 48 hours they came and fixed the issue and I no longer have a leak. I was so happy with their work that I recommended them to do the roof of my wife's 97 year old grandmother's house. She also had an issue with a previous roofer who kept stalling to do the work on her house. Darius came and provided a reasonable quote on a new roof. They came out and within a day did the replacement and fixing any problem boards on the roof itself. The work was done in a day and they did a great job of cleaning up and explaining everything that they were doing for her. She was very happy with their service and politeness and professionalism. My first review was removed because supposedly it wasn't first hand customer experience, even though I don't know how much more of a first hand experience is than to call a business and request service: Basically contacted them to check out a roof leak most likely formed from ice dams. But I really wanted someone to look at the roof to see if it was time to replace since it is older and I just bought the home. No one called me just sent a generic email saying that they do not have anyone to come out due to the season to give them a call in the spring. Baltic was great to work with! I appreciate everything they did. We had some shingles blown off our roof in March and Baltic was the first to call back. They were prompt and efficient. We were looking at them for a full roof rebuild but their price wasn't as competitive as some of the others in the area. But that's not to take away from their product. Baltic Home Improvements was recommended to us through some friends. Once Darius came out, met with us and surveyed our roof, we knew he was the contractor we wanted. He was very professional, honest, polite, explained everything to us in detail, and most importantly when you are replacing a roof with winter approaching...they were there when they said they would be. They also replaced our gutters and a skylight. Darius knew our roof shingles were defective from the beginning and helped us file a claim by taking the exact photos they wanted, saving a piece of roofing the exact size they wanted, etc. He knew exactly what the manufacturer would be requesting and assisted us in the paperwork process. Our claim is now being processed for more shingles, which we do not need since we had to replace it due to major leaks, so Darius said he would work with us to get us a monetary refund.
