From reach out on yelp to completion of gutter install was something like 3 weeks (and might have been sooner, had there not been Thanksgiving holiday and bitter cold, snow!), but most importantly they did an excellent, professional job. Our neighbors' property comes right up to our home, so the team necessarily had to prep gutters and bring ladders through their yard and the neighbors specifically told me the team was great-- helped them with a heavy package that was delivered to their house, and cleaned up their yard without a trace. UGH!! last year, my chimney was leaking so I had it 'repaired' by a so called 'professional' with excellent reviews. Well little by little, brick by brick my little chimney was literally falling apart AFTER another company said it was 'fixed.' Every time I went outside, little pieces were scattered along the side of my home. THEN..it started leaking INTO MY HOME! Last week I noticed my ceiling being affected by all the rain we have had. Brown pots started appearing..oh no!! It was the Saturday before Easter and I called VELASCO ROOFING. He came right over and gave me a fair estimate after telling me the guy did a horrible job! My Father has a 3 flat in Rogers Park with an old roof and it had multiple leaks and in very bad shape. Hermilo (the owner) responded quickly to my initial inquiry for a leak repair, came out the next morning, and went up on the VERY tall roof of our 2nd story back porch to look at the conditions. (I had a prior quote from someone who quoted from looking at the 28' tall roof from the ground). He took pics, came down and we discussed the job. He recommended the most thorough solution without replacing the whole roof, gave a very fair price, and even though initially thought scheduling would be later in the week, called a bit later and asked if it was ok to do same day. Hermilio and his team finally fixed a leak in our roof that a previous company said they fixed, but was still leaking. Our saga began 2 years ago when we first noticed that our roof was leaking into our attic space. It only leaked during certain conditions, usually after a snow or freezing rain. 2 highly rated roofing companies attempted to fix. The last one promised that their solution would work and they offered a guarantee to fix again for free if the leak returns. A few months later we noticed that the leak had not only returned, but gotten worse. The company that indicated they would guarantee their work refused to respond after asking for more money to assess and fix. Needless to say, we began looking for someone new. Hermilio was very responsive and was very thorough in his explanations of what he thought was the root cause. He offered to do a cheaper fix to see if it helped before moving on to the more expensive option. The rains on Sunday revealed a leak inside my home, I contacted several through Yelp projects, Hermilio contacted me first, he came by Monday morning, went on the roof and discovered a bullet hole in my shingles!! We scheduled for Tuesday, it was raining and he came out to repair the hole in the rain!
