When I was up the gentleman put my bike up on the rack and instantly figured out the issue. Adjusted the cable and oiled the chain up. My bike is not a year old. Not only are the gentleman in the store friendly they assist with my questions and explain techniques when riding. I enjoy the staff at this particular location. They definitely take the time out to explain and show their passion for riding.

It was not easy to find a bike shop, but I am glad I found Baltimore Bicycle Works. The bikes were top notch, easy to operate, and well-maintained. I brought my own helmet and lock to save some money, but they rent them as well. We rented for a "loose" 24 hours. That was much appreciated so we didn't have to worry about the exact timing of return. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you plan to eat a lot while in Baltimore, like I did, you can offset those calories with biking, and have a great time doing it. The only drawbacks were locating the shop, finding bike lane streets, and the need to carefully consider where you are riding and where to safely lock up your bike. That may sound like a lot- but IMHO, there is crime everywhere. We can limit our experiences because we live in fear, or we can venture forth with reasonable caution. We locked up the bikes for hours while visiting both the aquarium and the museum of art without issue. So seize the day.

I've always loved the process of sourcing parts and building up bikes from the frame up. And once the bike is built, I'm just as happy getting out on the road, hitting the same route again and again, pushing myself to see how much I can improve. That said, I'll admit there are areas I've never taken the time to master--things like detailed setup work or bleeding brakes. That's where Chris comes in. Over the years, I've really come to appreciate not only his skill but also his candor. He's someone I can turn to for anything related to bike repair, and I know that whatever leaves his hands will be dialed in, reliable, and above all, fun to ride. My latest build is based on the Bianchi Infinito. Outfitted with a SRAM Rival groupset, carbon wheels, and Continental tires, it's a setup that's both sharp and responsive.
