Went to see the Plastic Cup Boyz last night. They were absolutely hilarious. We're got there 20 minutes before the show started. Easily got the tickets at will call and found a great table. A couple of gripes...The venue is definitely outdated and the bathrooms were not very clean. I also don't agree with a two drink minimum.... Two item.. Yes... Two drink... Not so much especially with the prices. However, I would go back because the have great comedians. read more

Great show, good food and venue... but coming back the next day looking at my bill, I realized that they included automatic gratuity without letting me know!! All I got were the two non-itemized receipts for me to fill out and sign. They/our waiter said nothing about automatic gratuity. Like this place much more than old location, FREE Parking is awesome as is the access to 95, and not having to deal with Teenyboppers drinking all over the place. Ok, nice space, decent layout. And typical two drink Min. But the waiter service Absolutely SUCKED. 2/13/16 It is hard to order a second drink, when your first one does not get there until five minutes before the end of the show. (And I wonder if it would have come there if I had not bugged several other waitresses.) And I loved getting the bill with it, then to be told, "well since you did not order a second drink I added two soda's on to your check for an extra $10." Of course the kicker was he automatically tipped himself 15%. And when I asked to speak to a manager, I basically got blown off, some Bouncer tried to act the role and went on and on about a two drink Min. Which I get, it the Server actually gets them. The most unprofessional unorganized place I've been to see a show, your told 1.5 to 2 hrs before show time you can pick up your tickets, they get smart with when you ask why it's an hour past that the time that's stated in your reservation... Then you are walked into a rom to stand inline again for another 45 minutes after having stood in the lobby for an hour and a half... They won't be more polite to patrons until they are held accountable... Don't buy the shows here!!! read more

After purchasing tickets to a show and then reading all the reviews of this place I was weary of going. Especially because we had to drive an hour and 45 minutes to get there. We got there early got our tickets at the box office left and went to have drinks and food down the street. Came back 30 minutes before the show and went right up stairs got in line waited about 10 minutes went inside got our seat. As soon as we sat down our server came took our order and then came back a few minutes later with our drinks. They forewarned everyone when we were waiting in line that you must have an exit pass to leave. Not sure what everyone's deal with that is. Yeah it sounds silly but maybe if people didn't skip out their checks they wouldn't have that policy in place. We ordered the catfish dinner, I didn't expect anything great since all the reviews I read said the food was horrible. The drinks were good, small for the price but they were strong so I didn't care. Before the show ended we paid our check got our exit pass and left. Overall it was a good night and I will definitely return again. read more

So I have attended this comedy spot several times and the shows are pretty good so that is not my issue. My issue is with the supposedly weekly winner of promotional deals. I was contacted via text and email stating I was their weekly winner of promotional deals by Shelley. I inquired and was told although I was the winner, I had to pay $20 bucks but would receive 20 free tickets. To take advantage of this, I have to bring four additional people with me. I paid Shelley $20 bucks and she then in turn sent me an email with the tickets. The ticket says you must have a minimum of six people but in her email, she said four people and that all of your guest would have to be in attendance when you check in. Red flag, now how often do all of party arrive to a location at the same time. So I contacted Shelley to tell her, that I could not find enough people to travel to Baltimore from DC to the comedy show so I inquired as to whether I could purchase a ticket for my boyfriend and also use the ticket I already purchased when I was given the free tickets. She said I would have to get two new tickets online because the $20 bucks went to the discount tickets. Duh, I am not using the discounts tickets. Needlessly to say, I was not happy so I gave them $20 bucks for nothing. I would have purchased another ticket for my boyfriend plus we would have spent money on food and drinks. Note to Shelley and the Baltimore Comedy Factory, If I am trying to keep customers, I would have given the customer a ticket in which she already purchased anyway, general ticket admission for the show is $20. I was told that it was a Promotional Sales Department thing and they only deal in sale packages. Wow, so enjoy my $20 bucks then. You just lost a customer and future ones that see this review. I use to enjoy going to the Baltimore Comedy Factory until they were inflexible and unwilling to change my ticket to a different show due to inclement weather. I've been to the DC Comedy Improv and they were more than willing to accommodate a very similar request. So my advice to you, if there is ANY chance of there being inclement weather DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE. Money lost and gone down the drain which could've been avoided with a simple change of a different show date. They won't get my business again. read more

I attended the late show at the Comedy Factory, and I ordered a food item and a drink. When the server came around to announce last call, I informed her I would just take the check. She informed me that I had to order something else because the food item is not counted in the two-drink minimum. I informed her that I was there two weeks ago and ordered a drink and a food item and I did not have a problem. She informed me I had to order another drink. I asked to see the manager. When he came to the table, i explained the same thing to him and asked if we could discuss the issue after the show so i could continue to enjoy the show. He said no and if i did not order another item he would get the police to escort me out. i told him that was fine. he got security who explained the same thing to me. i asked the security officer if we could discuss it after the show. He suggested i order a water to resolve the issue. I asked him to bring me my check. He brought me a water. I told him i did not wish to order another drink item and would just pay for the bill at that time. he came back, check in hand, and escorted me out of the venue. read more

am writing to you today because of the experience I had last night July 29th, 2016 at the JSS uncensored 3 show. My girlfriend and I are huge fans of the 98 rock morning show and were looking forward to being in attendance. Neither of us had ever tried the menu and were looking forward to having dinner while enjoying the performance. Much to our dismay, the quality of the meals we were served were unacceptable. We ordered chips and salsa to start. The grocery store chips were good but the salsa looked and tasted like someone vomited red chunks into a cup and placed it next to the chips. Next, we both ordered chicken tenders and fries, which were inedible. The fries tasted as if they had been in a freezer for an unknown amount of time, then microwaved and served to us. I was also interested in the sliders and asked if they were served with fries, to which our server said no and they would be an extra 4 dollars if I wanted to substitute, That was outrageous! And if I wanted just fries alone it is 7 dollars for food that is not even fresh, frozen for who knows how long and should not pass for food!! Next is the chicken tenders, which we were surprised was actually chicken. They too were obviously frozen for an unprecedented amount of time and were also served to us as "food". They were more edible than the fries and salsa, but still tasted, not as breast of chicken, but as ass of chicken! Finally, my girlfriend also ordered some sort of strawberry margarita. This was supposed to be frozen and what she received was a cup full of ice, with pink colored tequila. She took two sips and put it down, she couldn't drink it! She couldn't drink it because it was all alcohol and she had no food to wash it down with! My girlfriend ordered a frozen drink and received ice and pink tequila. What was even more outrageous was the bill, $66.50 dollars!!!!!! Which, along with the above mentioned items, included a water, club soda and diet coke. We would've stuck around to speak to someone about this but we were so hungry and upset that i paid and we left. Also, I gave the server 67 dollars and received no change, and yes I am upset she did not return with my 50 cents. Now I ask you, does the 66.50 I spent seem right to anyone there? For the same price I can get a meal for two at an upscale restaurant and be a thousand times better then what our mouths experienced last night at your club. 66.50!!!!! Unfortunately now when people ask me about the comedy factory, I will have to tell the to avoid it so don't leave with a chance of catching e coli. I have learned over my years that if you do a good job, someone will tell 5 people. If you do a horrible job someone will tell as many people as possible. So that is what I will do. I know losing our business will not make or break anyone, but we will definitely be going to the competitor across town where they truly make an attempt to serve food and beverages that are of some kind of quality and fair price. We do not mind paying a high price for food, but for what the comedy factory charged and served us, I truly feel that I was raped with one of the frozen chicken tenders that is passed off as food. This place is Tore UP!!! The club is filthy with dirty stained carpet... The Security Staff are abrasive, you have to wait practically two hours in line to be guaranteed a decent seat--- even if you have "Preferred Seating". The waitresses are lacking any customer etiquette and it took practically an hour to get French fries, even though we were the 2nd people seated and the fries were cold. This place is so unlike DC Improv where the waitresses and staff are very nice and accommodating.. there is no minimum price of $12.50 per person for 2 drinks, unlike the Baltimore Comedy Factory. We ordered two diet cokes for each of us and that came to $25.00!! Then this place even puts a gratuity amount in the bill so they see you coming. My husband and I will not be back there! I went to the comedy factory with a group of friends of mind on December 3rd 2016 for a bday celebration, and I had such an unpleasant time. OK first of all there is a two drink min even if you buy food. My sister is pregnant so all she ordered was the bottle of water (which was $4) The waitress we had was OVER the top rude ( bad attitude). She kept hounding us abt buying drinks to the point we was missing the show. The waitress also dropped ketchup on one of my friend's sued gray boots. We asked for a wet rage and the waitress said to use the napkins from the food we had. The manager came out and stated the samething (like really). Back to the 2 drink min my sister HAD to order another bottle of water or they were not going to let her leave the build. So her 2 water costed her $10. ($8 for 2 waters and $2 gratuity). Luckily, ours were fantastic and VERY funny!My husband & I are visiting from New Hampshire and very much enjoyed seeing Mark Curry (and Alabama!) at the Comedy Factory tonight. It is a "typical" comedy club in that you have to purchase 2 drinks each (we don't drink alcohol, so we ended up paying $20 for two diet cokes and two bottles of water). What IS weird is having to give this receipt card thing to security on the way out to prove you bought the drinks and paid your tab. But fun nonetheless. Extremely disappoint my boyfriend pre purchased us tickets to see Michael Blackson. It took us over 45 minutes to get there because the location changed. The only reason he pre paid was because their website states that pre purchasing tickets guarantees your seat. Boy was the website wrong when we arrived the staff was extremely rude. They basically said there was nothing they could do once we shoes them their website they stated we should've read the small print when checking out. When we asked for a manager Chip came over and was still rude he clearly didn't have an understanding of their website and the verbalized used. Overall just very disappointed that he couldn't accommodate us in anyway, tickets, apology anything would've been better than him being out right rude. I would say to the owner of this establishment please update your website verbiage so that it is consistent and not stating mixed messages. read more

I would only come here if they had an act that I really wanted to see. I was okay with the two drink minimum but the food was terrible. It took forever to get our order to us (old bay wings). The seating in the club was so tight that it was uncomfortable. Entering the show was crazy too... First, you have to wait in line. Then you are escorted to another room where you have to wait, then you leave that room to walk up the stairs to finally enter the club. I've had better experiences elsewhere. read more

I have attended the Baltimore Comedy factory and have had company parties at the old location in the power plant for the past 6 years. Like many other reviewers the only reason I attend is because of the discounted tickets, other then that the service is "gone with the wind" a mess and the food is disgusting, there is no line order, the seats are tight and too close together. They ask you to arrive 45 minutes before the show , when there is little to no parking spaces available. You actually have to wait for one of the shows to let out and stalk someone to get a parking space. The OWNER should address this conflict because his/ or her employees don't care. I purchased tickets to see Michael Blackston this past Saturday, 11:30 pm show and arrived early to get stopped by their (Top Notch, Security), because my friend had a navy blue sweat suit on. However, he has worn it there before and nothing has ever been said to him, (as I have mentioned, I have supported this establishment numerous times and he has worn sweat suits before and we never had an issue. I asked for a manager and appeared behind the glass ......right window was a Caucasian women maybe in her mid (40's-50's) with blonde hair. I believe her name was (Kiarra, Kera, Kirra) not sure of the spelling exactly, but I remember that tongue ring she had visibly in her mouth. Not only does this so called manager have a attitude problem, she's very unprofessional, used profanity and yelled to the top of her lungs.....with a visible tongue ring. How dare this establishment stop someone for wearing a sweat suit when the so called manager is, unprofessional, classless, rude and has a visible tongue ring on the tip of her tongue. No class at all. I will never return. AND To the OWNER: I get the impression you're trying to deliver with the dress code , However, when you have employees or so call managers representing your establishment with tongue rings.... It's really hard to take your dress code serious. As a business owner and from a business stand point. How can anyone take your dress code serious when you allow your employees to behave this way, have disgusting attitudes and wear tongue rings. These are the people that represent your establishment.... but a customer who has been highly supportive for years cant wear a sweat suit. The way your employee spoke to me was Highly Unprofessional and Unacceptable to the highest level. It's just not a good look. I mean (Tongue ring Vs.
