My wife and I came here while staying at the Lord Baltimore Hotel for happy hour and dinner. We sat at the bar and the service was fast and friendly. Tried the sangrias and the beers they had. The local beer is limited to a couple options Guilford Hall including one they made specifically for them. There was only one other person there and some counters and tables that were empty. My wife had the fish and chips and I had the crab cake sandwich we enjoyed but nothing out of the ordinary. read more

Visited with a friend and hoped to have a few drinks. It was ~1 pm and there were 6 people at the bar including myself and my friend. We waited for 10 minutes as the bar tender walked past us several times without even acknowledging us. Granted, she was, at first, helping someone with their room card, but she resolved that issue and continued to ignore us for several more minutes. We eventually grew tired of it and left. read more

Located in the lobby of the Lord Baltimore hotel! I've been to this bar a few times and it's always been great. Yesterday was my first time actually eating here. I got a filet medium, and it came out perfectly. Well-seasoned and very filling. The sides were great - huge portions! It was "National Cocktail Day," so I had to indulge a little, or maybe a lot. I've been to LB Tavern several times over the years, but usually because I'm at an event in the Lord Baltimore Hotel lobby, not because I'm the type to drink at a hotel bar. And my last visit was no different! I went to a vegan event at the hotel on 2/27. While the event was centralized in the hotel lobby, I spent 95% of my time at the bar. Since I was obviously an event attendee, the bartenders didn't approach me as they would a regular bar patron, but if I showed them the slightest sign, they were super attentive. The bar area is nice. It's large and has some of the most comfortable high chairs I've had the pleasure to sit upon. The bar top was spotless and the lighting was dim but bright enough to read by. Bathrooms are off a side hallway and the ladies room was neat and clean. I ordered one drink, a High Noon. Ordering and paying were easy. One of the bartenders provided some samples of beer for me to try, and that was nice, though I didn't go with any of the suggestions. I didn't try any bar food, as I was there for vegan food, but all the food delivered to the bar area looked good. Though I didn't interact at the bar like most would, it was a good experience I'd repeat if I visit the hotel again, and would probably get food the next time. read more

Sam is a great bartender, she really made my experience awesome. Great happy hour highly recommend their wings and their steak is cooked so well. Easily probably the most medium well steak I've had that was perfect. So we went on Sun June 9th. Should have known that it wasn't going to be good. Only one other table eating. But we tried it. We sat down to a table that was sticky and it looked like all of them were the same. Our waitress was definitely not worried about us. When she finally came over. We ordered drinks and they took a bit. The beer that we asked about after she told us what they had. They didn't have. Didn't have a drink menu she said they were working on it. So we ordered apps and dinner at the same time thinking the apps would come first. But everything came at once. We ordered for apps a soft pretzel and a charcuterie board. The pretzel was hard as a rock and we didn't even break it open. The charcuterie was nothing great either. Just sliced cheese from the store. The strawberries were the only thing good on the plate. And last app was the loaded fries. They were over cooked kinda like cooked twice and the chunks of onion were as big as the chicken not good. Wanted wings but she said they were out. But we went upstairs and they had them at an outdoor bar. Then for dinner we had a bar pie it was ok but Papa John's is better. I also had the fish and chips the fish was frozen and not fresh the fries were overcooked as well. We actually said something about the food to the waitress but she just gave us a weird look and charged us full price. We were at a rooftop for a party the food up there was like night and day. So definitely don't waste your time or money in the Lord Baltimore LB Tavern. Definitely needs improvement and we feel bad for the people staying there. read more

Surprisingly Amazing! I happened to walk upon this nice lounge restaurant after searching for a place to wait out the traffic after my graduation. We walked into live music being played on the piano. It took a while for the waitress to bring us our menus and greet us, but she was the only one working the floor and other hungry grads and families swarmed the place and took them by surprise. Katie did an amazing job with serving us and a bunch of others table with a smile on her face. 5/5 for customer service. Unfortunately, the bar tender was not so nice and very frowny. He had a permanent scowl on his face, didn't talk, and when talked to...he would provide one word answers. C'mon man...turn that frown upside down. Now to the good stuff: FOOD My brother ordered the burger and LOVED it, but his fries were a bit soggy and cold. My dad ordered a dozen dry chicken wings (naked) and got 11 very good wings and one bone....we told our server--and 10 minutes later the kotchen sent out 2 more wings to apologize. I ordered the tomato bisque in a cup and it is AMAZING. I wish I had gotten the bowl. My mom ordered the happy hour steak tacos, which were also VERY GOOD and YUMMY. It came out in a pair--if we weren't so full...we would've probably ordered another one. Overall, great food (a bit pricey--but it's Baltimore AND this food is worth every penny). I stayed at the LB and ate here twice. The food is a little bit pricey but it's so good. I ate the crab dip twice $16 and their poutine is out of this world. It's a cute place to take a date or just chill out with some homies. Located on the first floor of the Lord Baltimore Hotel. There's valet parking and outside street parking. Also I believe the sub station is close by. Definitely recommend this spot! read more

I just tried LB Tavern during Restaurant Week, and the results were mixed. The cocktail options were fun. I had the Baltimore Skyline, but I did not taste much alcohol. The summer salad had a lot of fruit, including blackberries and watermelon. The entree - lemon cilantro salmon with mashed potato and carrots - had no seasoning at all. (Request salt & pepper shakers.) The sticky toffee pudding was tasty but overcooked. Next time I'll just order the summer salad. Service was nice, hence the third star. read more

Very nice little restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel. Bartender was very nice and took care of myself and my dad. I got 1 drink (Molly's punch) and wow what a drink! Also ordered a chicken quesadilla as a snack to hold me down before a wedding I was attending in the hotel. We also ordered food for takeout for my younger siblings. They got a cheese pizza, grilled cheese sandwich and a side of fries. Everything was delicious! I definitely recommend this place especially if you're staying in the hotel! read more

LB Tavern is a pleasant lounge bar tucked into the back grotto off the lobby of the lavish Lord Baltimore hotel. I wouldn't normally have stopped in, I mean every hotel has a bar, but when showing my sister-in-law around town she spotted the Lord Baltimore and insisted we stop in for a drink. For anyone staying there or just passing by, it does provide a nice dark oasis from the surrounding city, especially since you have to walk through the gorgeous lobby which sometimes provides music. They do have some craft beers on tap, as well as their own cocktail list and a food menu. Whatever you might think about the local hotel scene, the bar at the LB is doing it right. read more

Online it said food service ends at 11pm. We got there at about 1015. After about 10 min of waiting a waitress said food service ended at 10pm. This was on a Saturday. With the roof top bar closed because of a chance of a storm there were no options for food inside the hotel like there should have been. read more

I am staying at the Lord Baltimore Hotel in the harbor area of Baltimore Maryland. I decided to give the LB Tavern a try for a casual dinner. I ordered the crab soup. It was salty and tepid. I was extremely hungry so I scoffed it down. Hoping that my salmon BLT would be better I was sadly disappointed. The sandwich was also very salty. Stayed at LB hotel for NYE with plans for a 9p dinner close by. Ended up here at the bar which was pretty crowded. While service was a little slow, the old bay wings were really good. It was also extremely cold outside and since the food started off well, we decided to stick around for dinner. The croque monsieur was an interesting twist as it had the cheese on the outside of the sandwich; I'd prefer it inside with the ham (especially since the ham was kinda cold), and made it kinda messy to eat. I went there for the breakfast buffet and for $15 dollars per person. I was expecting pancakes to be on the menu which you had to order at the bakery for additional $9. I'm giving it a 3 star because the waiter/bartender was a excellent person and they also had turkey bacon. read more

Labor day weekend at Lord Baltimore. Figured we would stay in Sunday night at the hotel. Had dinner at the lounge. Kinda lack luster at best. Server we had was great! Dinner just really moved very slow. We had burger, wings, mac & cheese, and rockfish bites. The burger was dry and very blah. Burgers these days at that price don't usually come from the freezer and are way juicer. Wings were good and cooked nicely. Mac & cheese had a great taste, but was very dry. I eat a lot of rockfish; I never had rockfish that tasted that fishy. Dessert, Blondie, was the best part of dinner. $100+ for two.... should have went out. read more

Awful. Awful. Awful. Worst dining experience ever. Very slow service. And they were not that busy IMO. I was for the most part ignored. When my meal was finally brought out to me I had to make a "special request" for a napkin and silverware. Also, the food was mediocre. When I was done, I had to wait 10 minuets after asking for my check. For the high prices they charge I expected better service and attention.
