Came here to my first Baltimore Comic Con! This was a traditional comic book convention with a sprinkling of pop culture. It was held at the BaltimoreCconvention Center in downtown Baltimore. Parking can be a nightmare, but it is possible with the city garages you can walk to. I suggest public transportation or a ride share service. Upon entering, we showed our electronic tickets and were given a wristband, which was checked as we entered the convention floor. They had single and multi-day options available. Upon arriving on the floor, we got a program which included the layout of the event (aisles indicating where certain vendors were, the rooms where panel discussions were being held, and the schedule for the meet and greets with invited special guests for photo and autograph opportunities.) To name a few: the twins from Harry Potter, Michael Biehn from "Terminator and Aliens"; Giancarlo Esposito from "Breaking Bad", and a host of others including popular voice actors, artists, and illustrators (with long lines as well, so get their early!) They had an authentication kiosk for items in addition to the ability to sell and purchase items. Folks were there in their cosplay best which was great for people watching. They have a food court and seating area as well. All in all, I enjoyed it and look forward to attending next year. read more

Fantastic Con. I go every year (when they're open --- COVID sucks) and really enjoy myself. Honestly I only go on Friday and I only go to the sales/vendor area. I have no interest in the panels and Cosplay and stuff. The vendors are great and there are hundreds of them. If you want comics, you're golden. But they've also got so many other art vendors, arts and crafts, fantasy, sci-fi, you name it. This year I had a very pleasant surprise: As I was walking around this area, Terry Dodson, one of my favorite artists, was signing. So I hopped in line and bought some of his books with signature, along with really nice 5 minute conversation. That was an unexpected really cool treat. My advice to get there just for the vendor area: The Con usually opens Friday at 1 pm or so. Get there at 130-2 pm. You will avoid the lines and literally walk right in. Get your ticket online ahead of time, and I get a parking pass at a local lot because it's usually cheaper than that-day and I don't have to worry about where to take my car. I end up walking about 2 blocks, which is nothing. read more

Five very energetic stars for a truly comic book-focused Con!! Although it's not as big as other venues we've attended, Baltimore's Con is one you won't want to miss if you favor a show with the creators, artists, and writers of comic books over an expensive celebrity experience or pop culture panel-heavy con. From well-known independent creators like Stan Sakai and David Petersen to career fan favorites like Walt and Louise Simonson to industry titans like Jim Lee and Scott Snyder and everything in between! It's a family friendly venue with many children's creators (even a kid-focused creative area) so you can bring the whole family. I love the talented artisans and vendors like Myrabella Took, who is amazing with leatherwork, and the wonderful Deans family, who create characters like Shakes the Cow and Hippofartamus (and have cool crochet creations like Mootchalla, ShazHam, Iron Moo). Costumes are impressive and we enjoy watching the detail that goes into some of the better ones at the contests usually on Saturday. read more

This place was AMAZING...This was our first time attending. From my understanding. This has been going on for years now. I'm surprised I wasn't aware of it but you can count on us attending yearly from this point on. This is a 3 day weekend event. We went on a Sunday. It was less of a crowd. It was a requirement to show proof of Covid vaccination or take a on the spot Covid test. Now I'm not a huge comic book fan but my son and husband tend to like that sort of thing. I was so glad that I attended this because it was so much more. I loved seeing all the costumes and they even had a costume contest. The winner on Sunday was Ghost Rider. He definitely should have won that with so much creativity. There was all types of vendors present. They sold food and refreshments. Parking was available at nearby parking garages. Everyone had so much fun and we can't wait to attend next year. Thank you Baltimore Comics you definitely got my attention! :) read more

This Comic Con may not be as big as Awesome Con or some other comic cons, but what it lacks in media guest and panels, it more than makes up for in the area of comic book authors and artist. In many ways, this one is for the hardcore comic book collectors. This serious collector fandom was evidenced by the CGC crowd, for I go be myself waiting for a CGC signature witness longer than I ever have for any Con. Oh, and some of the books that made their way up to the booth were not to be believed: earlier Superman and Batman comics were standard treasures of the day. For the most part, this was a con that had a more serious air than other Cons, for it really seemed to be all about the comics and meeting the icons of the industry. read more

Comic con is the perfect outlet to live out some child hood dreams of being your favorite hero (or villain in my case). I dressed up as an "immortal" from the movie 300 along with some of my friends. It was fun walking around the event and taking pictures with other attendants. Aside from dressing up, I wish there were more activities to really entertain my stay. I grew up loving marvel and other comics but you really have to be an avid fan to stay the whole time. Overall great experience and I'm sure the next Comic con will be bigger and better! read more

So much fun! People and kids are really into it. If you like people watching (as I do) then Comic Con is an awesome place because everybody steps up a notch. You keep smiling and sometimes laughing while enjoying the costumes. Make sure you hit the day and time when the costumes competition is. The best description of what is happening there is this - a small kid in Hulk costumes goes by and everybody yells," Smash Hulk," and little kid starts "smashing" against the floor. There is nothing weird about it - it is just a different universe, beautiful on its own and you just land for a few hours, check this out and go back to Earth. It is fun and I cannot wait to do it again. It is worth a price of ticket. The next one is September 24, 2017. Enjoy the pictures! read more

Easily the worst Ran Comic Con in the world... They over 'booked' a Frank Miller signing in 2022, and 200 people all the sudden got turned away last minute after waiting for HOURS. All they did is refund for the signing, and washed it under the tabel. Poor Poor Planning, and dont be suprised if they do it again... BEWARE read more

I attended Sunday afternoon with my son. We bought our tickets from Groupon. I don't know what happened, but we didn't see anything interesting on the several levels at the convention center. We made our way to the merchandise section on the lower level. Plenty to buy. Plenty to see. My son enjoyed himself and he was definitely among his people. read more

If you love comic books, pop culture, costuming, etc., then check out the Baltimore Comic Con held every year at the Baltimore Convention Center, just before the fall season begins. It's a huge show but with the most friendliest, easygoing crowd that you're able to manage your way onto the floor without the fear of being squished like a pack of sardines. One of the best cons to attend if you love to interact and talk with your favorite creators, so make it a point to converse with them cause you never know when you'll ever see them again. I basically recommend this as a great con for a first timer to attend, because you're not bombarded with so many things to overwhelm you. It's very organized and manageable, and definitely worth checking out. read more

The Baltimore Comic-Con is a great experience. I have had the honor of meeting several very inspirational artists. Speaking from experience, getting the chance to meet someone in person who inspires you is a feeling that one never forgets. Unfortunately, there are more than a few judgmental narrow minded people that criticize the patrons there. To these negative judgemental self appointed critics, I will say this; Don't like it? Leave it! If you want to call these events or it's patrons "nerdy", or "geeky", or "dorky"? Do it away from us, because each and every one of these people you so sanctimoniously label or criticize are much finer of persons than you are, or ever will be. Everyone should attend comiccon at least once in their lifetime. This is an absolutely interestingly fun place to be. Real artists occupy these booths and you occasionally get to see some authentic comic book genius. The clients who walk around in the outfits are just fabulous, it feels like Halloween for superheroes. It is super exciting to be involved in such a grand event. read more

Dude this is such a cool event. I love chillin' with like minded peeps talking about Marvel vs. DC, playing some Magic, and of course rollin' my 12 sided dice. Lots of freaky chicks to hook up with and tons of cool dudes to geek out with. This is one of the best cons ever! #EPIC read more

Loved the exhibition floor. Workshops had good info but we kinda dragging. The fanfare and atmosphere are always amazing. This was my first year actually buying tickets and being on the inside, but I had just as much fun being around Harborplace and taking pictures with the cosplayers. read more

I FINALLY got to go to Comic Con this year. It was such a life changing experience. I've never been to something like that. I loved seeing all the creativity that went into the costumes and I stopped to get photos with anyone who would let me. The only downside was that there were celebrities in there doing photos and signing autographs and you had to pay for each individually. It can add up if you like all of the celebrities. I couldn't afford that on top of my 3 day pass for entrance read more
