We used Bam BBQ and catering in a pinch this summer. We had one weeks notice and wanted to provide delicious BBQ in honor of a dear friend, to roughly 75 people. John was kind, and helpful when I called, provided a quote and then deciding was easy. On the day of he brought our choices, and there wasn't a scrap leftover. Everyone commented how great the food was. He was a pleasure to work with, forgiving of our time crunch, and the food was a hit. Not much more you could ask for. AAA Awesome! Needed to feed a 100 person outdoor picnic and BAM did an outstanding job. We had BBQ pork sandwiches+ 3 salads + extra sauce -- and it was just out of this world. Portions probably on the plus side. Potato salad tasted like your family recipe with some potato skins showing. Cole Slaw was just right, not too much mayo and crunchy fresh. Delivery was included in the price or free, I'm not sure,. Good communication with John including email, telephone and text. John is the entire package! Not only is the food amazing, but you will be hard pressed to find another caterer more personable than John. He and his wife are both great to work with and they care about their service to you. My order was catering for 50+ people for a work gathering with Chicken and ribs for our entrees. They were both big hits. Another thing worth mentioning, is that the chicken keeps very well. We had some leftovers and I reheated it two days after the party and it still tasted fantastic. I was recently treated to one of John's pulled-pork sandwiches for lunch, and truly enjoyed the experience. His sauce was a nice blend of tangy and spice, without overwhelming a generous portion of perfectly cooked pork. My experiences with pulled pork at fairs have sadly colored my expectations for this meal... but John has brought me back around to barbeque with tender, juciy meat (none of that horrible dry stringy stuff here thank goodness). My only critique would be of the white bread - as I'm a staunchly whole-wheat/whole-grains sort of girl. However, this is definately comfort food worth reserving a hungry stomach for. read more

Bam recently did our wedding and the food was excellent. All in attendance raved about how good it was. The chicken just fell off the bone and the ribs and sides were equally as good. We had told John we were expecting 60-70 people and I would say we had enough food for 20 more. John was great to work with and we would recommend him as well as use him again ourselves. read more

Just happened upon this caterer, and so glad that I did. They did an excellent job preparing for our dinner for 20 good friends and the food was excellent. I had John's Pulled Pork Sandwich, potato salad and coleslaw and I can say this. Finally someone who knows how to do BBQ. I have been to all to a lot of BBQ around here and only Bam Barbecue Catering can step up to the plate. What a BBQ smoky, rich and flavorful pork sandwich. Hands down the best and if he had a restaurant it would be full daily. Beside that John is about the nicest guy you ever want to meet.
