1st visit. I was pleased - excellent food. But I was also very disappointed, I had the stand to order but was immediately asked, after ordering to leave a 15, 20, 25% tip?!? WITH ZERO SERVICE OFFERED! WTF! My Standing Rule for tipping is if I am standing to order, I AM NOT TIPPING! I was disappointed/happy it was mostly take-out, as we were able to enjoy our meal in peace. My son and I ordered out since I was craving bbq. The only place I'd order is Moose creek. It's about 30 minute drive but is worth it. I ordered 3 meat dinner and a piece of corn bread to substitute the regular bread, sides of potato salad and chicken soup. The meats I picked are brisket, chicken and pulled pork which were all very tender and full of flavor with their bbq sauce. The corn bread was the perfect accompaniment for brisket that's smothered with sweet and tangy bbq sauce. I tasted a little bit of the potato salad and it was way better than I expected. I didn't even get to the chicken soup that's always my son's favorite. It had been a long time since we ordered from this restaurant but confirmed this is the place to go when it comes to bbq. I didn't expect to find the best BBQ I have had in Washington by a long shot in Arlington on my way to Vancouver, BC. I haven't tried that many places- less than ten for sure since moving to the PNW because coming from the east coast, BBQ here is not best. This place however was fabulous. The sandwiches used good bread, the corn chowder (once you add a little salt and pepper) was great but the star of the show was the brisket. And the sauces. But mostly the brisket- get the brisket. Ordered to go. Staff member behind the plexiglass shield recommended the menu on the counter versus looking up at the sign. Got the six rib dinner with sides of corn chowder and ranch beans. I'm not a fan of peppers - even bell peppers - and it isn't the heat, I just don't like the flavor. The chowder had a slight pepper flavor. Bell pepper? I don't know, but it had such a great smokey flavor and complex ingredients- I ate it all. The toast and ranch been a were delicious as well - ate all of those, too. Couldn't finish the ribs. So I'll have this for lunch tomorrow. They were really good! The BBQ sauce is good, too and I wish I could eat more of that, but the ribs were so perfectly seasoned and had a sublime smoke flavor, it is hard to add anything else to it. It is a good sized place with a good amount of seating. It is in a tiny strip mall. There seems to be enough parking. We ordered a rack of ribs which came with two small sides and some bread. If you want to switch to corn breas they charge. The ribs were very delicious and tender. I would order it again. The BBQ sauce that comes on the side is not great. The bread is good as well so I am glad we switched back to it from the cornbread as I am very picky about my cornbread and would have hated to be disappointed. The beans were not good or flavorful. I wish they would sell regular baked beans. The potato salad was surprisingly good and seasoned well. I have been coming to this place for over 10 years and last night I had the worst meal from them ever. The St. Louis ribs I had were extremely bad and I blame myself for not sending them back. It was the end of the night and when I got my dinner the ribs had dried out and they were just not acceptable but I went ahead and after staying up all night trying to digest, I realized it wasn't worth it. The loaded baked potatos are AMAZING, just get the pulled chicken or pork instead of the brisket. This was my first time trying the brisket and half of the pieces were just full fat, really unsatisfying. But I've had the other meats and I highly recommend it. So I was a vegetarian growing up but later in my 20 years I started eating very little meat and I'm super picky I call myself a picky meat eater hahah So I like brisket but I don't like all places ! I had a doctors appointment in a new area and after decided to get lunch. I went on Yelp and found this place and decided to go Me and my husband got the two dinner and wow!! It's amazing the brisket was the best so so yummy! This place is extra and in a good way. I came to town for work a few years ago, for a few weeks, and stumbled onto this place. I was amazed. I tried the sample 4 meat dinner the first time and had leftovers for lunch the rest of the week. For me the stand outs are the pulled pork and the brisket. So I went back the next week and just got the combo two meat dinner. Three years later and I'm back for a few weeks and doing the same thing. It's as good as I remembered. I've tried other barbecue places and been disappointed that it wasn't moose creek level barbecue. I work on the road all over the west coast and this is the only place I look forward to coming back to. I've tried all the sides at this point and IMO the stand outs are the chicken corn chowder, the ranch beans and the corn bread; in that order. The macaroni/potato salad are both pretty good too and the rest I would skip. I also definitely recommend going for the spicy BBQ sauce if you can handle a little heat. I'd rate it as a white guy HOT.. and my Mexican coworker said it was spicy. I grew up in Asia so I rate it a medium-low. If you're in town definitely try this place out! read more

The lunch crowd here is very full and busy right at noon, however, if you come about 130, the place will be cleared out, and it will all be yours. The staff is helpful, friendly And knowledgeable of their product. The price is very reasonable in today's economy. They have some great daily specials however when they are out, they are out. So if there's something that you see on one of the specials, you need to come early because they do run out of food. They have a private parking lot completely accessible for disabled people.
