I came looking for the Peking duck only to be told that they no longer have it. So, I got the two bun option and the cold noodles. The noodles came with a little sauce on top and no toppings that I was used to. And the two duck bun was good but I wish I had more. The environment felt very traditionally Asian with Chinese and Japanese influences and some modern twists. Went to Bamboo Garden tonight for a birthday dinner with family. I have been coming here a few times a year since they opened and this experience way off compared to my expectations. The wait was very long and the service was poor. The duck bun appetizer was over cooked and tough. But worst was that the Spicy Tuna roll tasted off. When I informed the waiter the owner came out and argued with me about what I tasted in my own mouth. I have been eating sushi for 30 plus years from dozens of restaurants and in Japan. This was only the second time in my life I have reflexively spit out a piece of sushi and it is really troubling to me that the owner wouldn't take my concern seriously. read more

We've come here so many times and loved the ambiance, service and BYOB. It was our local sushi date spot. Something has changed. Last night we arrived to a sign on the door that BYOB is no longer allowed. We were given a few different explanations when we were asking the staff. They do not serve alcohol and we can longer bring a bottle of wine- this has eliminated them from a date spot but not a family dinner, so we stayed. It is almost March and the restaurant is still decorated for Christmas. I found this a little lazy on their part. Overall the food was still good but took a long time to come out. I'm pretty sure they forgot to put our food in. For perspective, we were there after 8 and the restaurant was emptying out. All of our food was brought to the table at different times. We eat in a restaurant to eat together. We were also forced to buy an entree of fried rice because they could not substitute or do an up charge for the rice that was included in the two entrees we purchased our children. It supposedly confuses the kitchen was the excuse we received. Toward the end of our meal cleaning up the restaurant took precedent over refilling our fountain drinks and waters. Overall, something has changed and we did not enjoy our experience. read more

Definitely unique Asian fare. Not your standard menu so give yourself time to study it. The food was incredibly good. My husband got the Thai Crispy Beef. Will be my choice sans the hot oil next time. I had the Sizzling Chicken Pot. It was definitely sizzling when it reached the table. I enjoyed every bite. Enjoyed it again for lunch; and still have another meal left that I'm looking forward to finishing. The decor is pleasant; so was the staff. We'll be taking the family there soon. read more

This is a hidden gem in Harford County. This is the first time I had been here and the sushi was impressive, specifically the Phoenix and Bel Air roll. All of the rolls we ordered were very fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was great and our server did an amazing job, super friendly and interactive. However, It did take over an hour to get our food because they only had 1 person making the sushi. I will be visiting again. read more

Interesting place. I ordered carry out but got to see the inside, which was beautiful. Minimal staff interaction as I got carry out, but the lady was friendly. Food? Unf. The tangerine chicken, which is a play on orange chicken (if it wasn't obvious) was *chefs kiss*. The tangerine flavor was a little more subtle than a normal orange flavor, and it made it just different enough that it was like trying something completely new. It came with a salad which had their in-house sesame-ginger dressing, which was also good! Prices were fair. read more

The best Asian cuisine I've had in harford county, or anywhere in the Baltimore area. A lot of familiar options, and a good mix of Chinese and Japanese staples. Dining inside feels very fancy, but it's very casual at the same time. High quality food made fresh to order, with fair prices. Sushi is good. Great deals on lunch specials and if I do say so, the bento box options are a great way to try a variety of things and feel full! We've gotten sushi here a few times and it has always been good. But today we tried the Ma-La chicken and I must say that each of us were shocked at what little taste it had. The sauce left a slight spiciness in your mouth, but otherwise it just tasted (or not tasted) like water. No sweetness, no thickness...nothing. Very disappointing. Food is pretty tasty but the Manager is consistently RUDE. I order here alot when visiting my daughter in the area!! I only go cause it's close by but everytime I order they for one are consistently stingy on extras like sauce, chopsticks and fortune cookies etc. I usually get large orders for several ppl but utensils for only 1. My order is never correct. I try to be nice about it, I always tip but the manager never apologizes, insist I don't know what I ordered. Hate that!!!! I eat the same thing, pretty sure I know what I asked for. After a half dozen times of this, it's time I leave a review and find somewhere else to make my sushi home. Plenty of choices in Bel Air! I came here on a Thursday evening with some work friends to get dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked in, the decor is very modern and is very visually appealing. They have a huge dining room that wasn't very full and we were seated right away. Almost all of us ended up getting a dinner combination which came with soup, an egg roll, rice, and your choice of entree for $11-12. We thought that was a great deal. The soup came out almost immediately, but my one star off was because our entrees took soooo long to come out. By the time we got our entrees we literally had to ask for boxes and our checks. Meanwhile a table that came in after us got their food before us. The food itself was really good we just all had to scarf it down and take the second half with ybecause we had work obligations to get back to (but allotting over an hour for dinner should have been more than enough time) I would definitely return here but when I have ample time incase this happens again, because the food itself was good! read more

This is my husband and I's go to spot to get sushi! The food is so good, large portions that are priced right, and the staff is always friendly. We take my Korean grandmother there when she is in town and she loves talking to the owner, who is very sweet for listening to her as english is not her first language.
