The chicken in shrimp were pretty good along with the friend rice. I didn't care didn't care for the steak. The portions sides were nice and ur was more than enough to eat and or share with someone. I've been coming here at least 15 years and the food is consistently good. Sushi has always been excellent, and the combo platters provide generous portions at a reasonable price. It gave large portions, the salmon hibachi was always think and cooked to perfection, and the fried rice and veggies great But it's gone down the last couple of years Price has gone up, and quality down The salmon seems to be frozen fillets that are thrown in the grill to heat. Had a craving for some sesame chicken and I wanted to try a place I hadn't tried before. I like that you can order online but pay in store. I also love that they accept cash app payments (when you get to the counter, they have a QR code you can scan to pay via cash app). Also the food was ready on time which is always a huge plus. The menu is pretty standard and the food is inexpensive (another bonus). I got the sesame chicken combination with lo mein and spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious and perfectly crispy. The lo mein was very bland and pretty dry. I don't think I've ever had dry lo mein before lol. But they provided tons of soy sauce packets so that helped. The sesame chicken sauce was great and the chicken was crispy on the outside but still juicy inside. My daughter got the hibachi chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was very bland and the chicken was mostly chewy, fatty pieces. But the sauce was great, and it came with extra teriyaki sauce on the side (which she dipped the bland shrimp in), and a side of yum yum sauce. The fried rice was decent, nothing special but not bad. Overall this place is a great value and offers quick service. I'd probably give them another shot. read more

Honestly, I don't know why this place only gets 3.5 stars. I ate from here a while ago and decided to order again. It's so good and 5 stars all the way for me. This place was easy to find. Since i went at night the sign only had the last 3 letters of hibachi lit up. Ordered one hibachi shrimp ($10) and one hibachi steak ($9). I didn't realize until after i ordered that they had a dinner special listed on the back of the takeout menu. Lots of parking available. It is a small dine in with about 6-8 tables i think. Every now and then I really want sushi and I consider this place because they are the only place I know that delivers in my area (Joppa) and are cheap. And then I remember all the crap I threw away last time and the horrible taste of rancid sushi, and I just make a home cooked meal instead. I've eaten here twice. Once about a year ago before I lived in Joppa. I head of its existence and made a special trip across town to try it. I remember thinking it was just okay but would never make that trip again. Fast forward I move out to Joppa and what do you know, I now live in the delivery area, so why not give it a try again! I do not like to throw away food, but it really just tasted disgusting. I believe I got all cooked rolls but I really did not like anything, and like I said it tasted rancid. I cannot speak for the hibachi items, but I definitely would not recommend their sushi. read more

Both the wonton soup and the shumai soup were made with the same broth as the Hibachi onion soup, so neither really tasted right...and bland. Garlic chicken was just chicken with celery and carrots with scarce anything else including seasoning ....bland Shrimp bowl was a few, shell on shrimp over a bowl of that plain ol fried rice in a bowl...and bland Prices were reasonable, delivery was quick, and portions were decent. I like Hibachi Express (HE) for what it is: a cheaper version of those fancy-dancy steak houses. You get the same sort of food, just a lot less for a lot less money. If you go to HE and sit down, the food comes out nice and hot. Sometimes we order from work, and even though we give them an hour lead time, they take an hour and a half almost regularly. Unfortunately we've stopped ordering from them due to the unacceptable wait. Their prices are comparable to the other Chinese joints in Aberdeen, but I like their food better.
